Short answer: No, do not recommend…read more Long answer: Wanted to find a dermatologist closer to home. I saw Amy Ellsworth, a PA, for my alopecia areata. She came and left in less than 5 minutes. Granted, my case isn't that complex since its not a new thing to me but I am a new patient to her so you would expect a little more such as getting a thorough patient history, establishing a new relationship, and perhaps see if there's any other treatment or suggest other solutions. I told her about the 2 new alopecia spots I have on my head. She didnt sterilize the area and then seemed to not inject the second spot. I had to remind her of the second area, which was the more serious alopecia spot that needed to be treated. Afterwards when I got home, I checked in the mirror and she injected an area many times that caused more redness than I've ever experienced before. Decided to go back to my original dermatologist that's further away to get reevaluated and reinjected as I felt I didn't get proper treatment. My clinician said she could see the bruising caused by the previous injection given. Would not recommend this clinician or this practice.
