Short answer: No, do not recommend…read more Long answer: Wanted to find a dermatologist closer to home. I saw Amy Ellsworth, a PA, for my alopecia areata. She came and left in less than 5 minutes. Granted, my case isn't that complex since its not a new thing to me but I am a new patient to her so you would expect a little more such as getting a thorough patient history, establishing a new relationship, and perhaps see if there's any other treatment or suggest other solutions. I told her about the 2 new alopecia spots I have on my head. She didnt sterilize the area and then seemed to not inject the second spot. I had to remind her of the second area, which was the more serious alopecia spot that needed to be treated. Afterwards when I got home, I checked in the mirror and she injected an area many times that caused more redness than I've ever experienced before. Decided to go back to my original dermatologist that's further away to get reevaluated and reinjected as I felt I didn't get proper treatment. My clinician said she could see the bruising caused by the previous injection given. Would not recommend this clinician or this practice.

She made my procedure painless! Her assistant was just as pleasant. I love that the entire placed was clean. I would recommend this location to anyone who is looking for great care! After waiting a month for an appointment, since the office hours are so limited, upon arriving the…read morewaiting room was packed, so I waited in the hallway for 30 minutes. Checked to see how much longer and was told 20 more minutes. After a few more minutes I told the receptionist that this was not a good fit for me because it appeared that the doctor was more concerned about the money than patient care, due to double or triple booking. A first visit should include a full body exam and addressing specific concerns which cannot be completed in the few minutes most dermatologist allow per patient. It is a human assembly line setting which is all too common with dermatologist. I have had 3 Mohs surgeries and 4 dermatologist and they all just rush through the appointments. My sister recently had a squamous cell that a dermatologist ignored and it spread to her lymph nodes. I had an aggressive basal cell that a dermatologist ignored after three times that I insisted he address and the next dermatologist that I went to had to cut a large portion of my cheek to remove (the incision would not have been so large if it was addressed by the previous doctor). Two examples of how most Dermatologist (in my experience) are not thorough and rush through appointments creating a health problem for their patients. Steer clear of any Dermatologist that rushes through an appointment or is not thorough, it can be a life or death situation for some people. Cramming as many people as they can into a day is not patient care it is simply a money machine for them.
