Shedrow, a Canadian brand of dog coats is IT. Got a cute coat for my pup, and was tempted by many of their other offerings, but a girl's suitcase is only so large. This shop had a great selection of all sorts of pet products, and way nicer outerwear (Duh, it's Canadian) than anyplace I've seen in the US.

She chatted us up when we popped in off the sidewalk for a look at this very clean, modern new space, and told us about their grooming services. The price was lower than our usual groomer, and after a series of serviceable but only so-so cuts back there, we jumped at the opportunity to try something new when our dog was due for her next visit. The proprietor did the grooming herself, and she did an excellent job. Hair as well as a nail trim are included. It took about two hours as promised until our dog was ready for pick-up. Unlike our previous groomer, Pitou Minou is close to several great cafés to pass the time (notably Café Melbourne). Our dog was always a bit manic when we came to fetch her from the other groomer, but here, she was more herself. Take that for what you will. I wouldn't like it if someone tried to trim my nails, either. We will become regulars here.

Since I was only in quickly for a small specific item, but in a short time I had a fast look around and noticed the shop looked very cute and pleasantly laid out. We came across Pattes et Griffes on Mont-Royal which is another chain pet store like Mondou. They had a LOT of merchandise in this location so it was quite right, and there was also a LOT of people so it was even tighter. COVID wise this was a bit of a concern but at the same time it's an essential service and I appreciate that people are so supportive of their pets and a pet store. The five stars comes from the exceptional service we received from the folks working there. They heard us taking about our cat needing a harness and they immediately pointed us to the right direction. When they saw we needed help, they came to us and helped. They even let Kimchi try on the harnesses for sizing! They were honestly so nice and we really appreciated their time. Overall, a great experience in this pet store.

This place is family owned and their employees are extremely helpful! I went in looking to purchase some cat furniture with in a $30 budget, which has been impossible to find at other pet stores.The worker showed me a variety of furniture all within my price range, they never tried to push me to buy something more expensive, which I appreciate. I ended up buying a 1 foot tall, carpeted pedestal for my cat for only $17.99! I returned a few months later to buy a larger cat tree, found a great, multi level one for $90! Paid a few extra bucks to have it delivered to my door. They have a good variety of food, including: evo canned food, science diet, and taste of the wild. I really like their variety of cat furniture, and toys, plus, I got a free stuffed mouse toy for my cat!

Jennifer takes care of the grooming here and she is amazing, she cut my cat's hair with nary a peep out of her, always talking to her and cuddling her. She asks that the owners stay with the pets so it helps them feel comfortable. My mom's cat is another story, 12 pounds of fury that growled, hissed and yelled, and then finally crapped in the corner of the table and refused to go back in her cage. Even then, Jennifer did not lose her cool and only partially charged us even though her time was taken up. I would never go elsewhere, the selection of food is pretty good and lots of toys for the animals. The clientele seems pretty loyal as well as a friendly staff.

Two women employees were talking about their love life for a long time. Everyone in the store was staring as well. Usually when you see a potential customer bent over awwwing at the cage of guinea pigs you would come up and strike up a conversation hoping to make a sale. I know more about how long she's been single then how old The baby guineas were. Love coming by to visit and look for little furry love bugs to buy. Hope next time it's better.
