Anyway I was desperate to get my colour sorted so agreed to a new stylist. So far so good. I asked her to lighten my colour a couple of shades and she agreed it would look 'nice'. The salon has gone downhill it looked scruffy and the staff are unprofessional (ordering sandwiches on the phone while people are waiting to pay) It wasn't until I enquired about my usual stylist that they told me she had left which is not good practice as I had got used to her over a long period of time. My hair looked okay but my colour looked exactly the same as it always does. When I left I asked for my umbrella and found that they had given it to someone else. The final straw you might say. I spend a lot of money on my hair and will not be going to Lisa in Kidderminster again.

My girlfriend in particular is a big fan of Cabella, as are the majority of the locals living in the Oldbury area. Every time I have been, I have been offered a drink, which for men is a big change from the typical 'barber' atmosphere. Despite holding a fairly intimate client base around the surrounding area, Cabella remain welcoming and friendly to everyone who walks through the door, including myself! Some logistics now, you can expect to pay £50-£60 for a colour, cut and blow-dry. The staff seem well trained in their field, offering valuable assistance to their customers as well invaluable ideas to those who are indecisive. Despite Cabella's being unisex, I am yet to personally have a haircut there, as I'm to loyal to my barbers, but maybe in the future, especially with this review, I may be persuaded to give it a try!

The…read moretwo members of staff that were there ignored us completely and didn't ask if we were ok or try to book is in but we put that down to them being busy cutting hair at the time but one member of staff finished and then walked off and sat at the back of the salon eating a sandwich and still didn't ask if we were ok then another customer walks in and gets seen to straight away and still we were ignored so at this point we got up and left as we had been waiting for half an hour. Absolutely rude staff and my wife said she will not be going there again she will stick with Stuart's instead. So it was a nice sit down in a hair salon for half an hour with the staff treating us like we are invisible.

I've had my hair done a few time and the stylist has looked at me blankly when I've offered up the names of various well-coiffed celebrities for style inspiration. Cheryl Cole they know, Zooey Deschanel not so much. They offer reasonably priced cuts and colours, as well as nail art/manicures and sun beds. My tip would be to go in and be specific about what you want and take some pictures. The stylists are friendly enough and they gave me a haircut that didn't prompt me to burst into tears when I looked in the mirror.
