When the driver was already at the airport, I got a call from my parents to say that they had been moved to a later flight which wouldn't be arriving until the next day. I went online to arrange a pick up for the following day, and was pleasantly surprised to find that I had not been charged for the initial booking. That was a nice touch, especially because the driver had been waiting for a long time, and ensured that I will book with Direct Cars every time I need a collection from the airport. As well as the great service they were the cheapest of all the quotes I got from the Kabbee website.

I ended up using EC Minibus for transportation from Heathrow to a central London Hotel, as well as…read morefor to the Southampton Cruise Terminal. Highlights: + Simple booking via their website. It also seems that they used a link on Viator; however, booking directly on the website seemed cheaper. + Communication was clear and well laid out on where to meet the drivers. They were especially helpful during an issue that arose when arriving at Heathrow and the driver having issues meeting us at the assigned meeting point due to increased activity at the airport (apparently it was a popular bank holiday I chose to travel on) +Cars/vans used were clean and as advertised +Drivers arrived on time and were friendly + Price - Honestly, it was relatively reasonable, especially given the fact it provided for a smooth travel day for my traveling companion who would have issues on the Tube/trains even without luggage Tips: + When making your booking, make sure you set your pick time for an hour and a half after scheduled arrival time to provide a buffer time to make it through customs and retrieve your luggage if flying internationally. +Make sure to be honest about your luggage that you are traveling with and abide by their rules, especially on shared rides. I would use their services again if I find myself needing them.

Our driver was there with a smile and a sign with our name on it. What a welcome sight after 12 hours of travel time! Our driver was so friendly. He told jokes most of the way to our Heathrow connection, and kept us very amused. He also had the car stocked with waters & CANDY! Kids thought he was the best driver ever. The company was professional. I arranged everything over the internet, pre-paid the fare and it all went as planned. No complaints. We haven't always had good luck with transportation companies, seems like they're never where they should be. This place is fantastic - highly recommend.

Since that time I've used United at least half a dozen times and I've given them out to friends. Basically, I like them because: * When I call up, they identify me by name, apparently I'm on some screen somewhere that says I'm a regular customer (or so I'd like to think) * Their prices are WAY lower than a black cab, and very competitive compared to other car services. * The drivers are nice; they don't always know the way but that's what GPSes are for (I would like to point this out to the black cab drivers, who with their elitist mentality don't realize memorizing London maps is dépassé) . * They've been reliable, except for one incident where I got the runaround after extreme lateness of the driver. I forgave them because I once gave them the runaround and they didn't get annoyed. As long as they retain their level of service, they'll have a loyal customer/reviewer...

We loved the conversation, but the company & drivers make it known that if you'd prefer quiet that's absolutely fine. Either way you'll enjoy the ride. We couldn't be happier with Cos and the company and hope he is our driver when we return!
