There has been little to no regulation on the amount of lawn furniture and decorations allowed on people's property. In addition, the fees paid are far greater than the services provided. Landscaping fees required when homeowners are taking care of their own yards are too high. The plowing and salting are inadequate. Personally there have been 2 occasions on which my fees have been paid and they did not credit my account properly. This is not my primary residence and though they have been provided my correct address notices are still being sent to the incorrect location. read more

This HOA they discriminated you if you speak with the accent, if you are disable ,the closing the phone on you when you tell them the problem ,is on the property outside the jerking you around and they say .We can't fix the problem because of the weather, even past 10 months with the same problem. If I could give them a zero, I would. They are incompetent and rude. They do not care about the upkeep of the properties, do not enforce HOA guidelines, and yell at owners who call in with concerns. Try to find a property not managed by them. read more

Literally the worst company. If you ever have an issue, even if it's something small and easily taken care of, they treat you like a whining child and like they can't be bothered. They hire terrible contractors and then don't want to deal with the problems they create. Their property managers are a joke and don't want to enforce anything - seemingly they just get paid to do nothing. Do yourself a favor and don't live in any of the communities associated with them. You'll thank me later. read more

This HOA is completely incompetent. Avoid living in one of their properties if possible. They do not communicate important information to us and when we send in violations (of their rules), they do nothing. Their contractors are sub-par and we end up paying for them to redo their work instead of it being done correctly the first time. I live in Webster Knolls and the property manager Jeff S. should be replaced. Unfortunately it is the assisstant property manager job that turns over every few months. It happens so often, they don't even let us know anymore. I never thought that having an HOA would cause more work and aggrevation than doing the work myself. read more

Unfortunately my HOA has contracted with Crofton. The fact that our HOA dues pays their salary apparently has never occurred to them. Spoke to the manager who acted like I was a huge bother (first time I called in years) instead of displaying any customer service at all. There was no "Hello, how can I help you." Just snide comments from him. If you look at the "not recommended" reviews here you will see they are all negative as well. I agree with their comments. If your HOA is looking for a property management company I would not recommend Crofton. I am sorry my HOA is using them. read more

There is a late fee if the payment is not received on/by the 5th of the month~not postmarked as most companies.

Very disappointed in the way Crofton Associates posted very selectivities including spraying for bees and various chemicals used to control weeds and fertilizer. This was accomplished by sending emails to owners without blind copying. Now The email addresses of these owners are just closed without their permission. Is this the way Crofton associates will be conducting business in the future? read more

After receiving a bill for $400+ stating I missed payments...I spent an entire morning trying to prove I paid my fees...this was Devonshire Homeowners error. After they eventually realized they were wrong...I received NO explanation why it happened, No assurances it will not happen again and worst NO apology. Their staff send letters with a threatening, unfriendly tone to residents. Some of the residents are frail and require more than 5 days to act in on the requests and demands made on them by this group. It is very unfortunate. read more

After attending a recend Board meeting where 3 representatives of Crofton attended, I and other residents were seriously offended when the Sr Property Mgr compared himself to our Lord in something he said. This man needs to be terminated right away. I really feel a more appropriate answer from another member of the team could have been stated. Grass is not mowed every week unless they mean part of the complex. There is nothing about cleaning the laundry room . It gets ignored completely. Mulching occurs in summer when it should be mulched in spring. No signs of life from the board . No inspections of unsightly grounds. No accountability by board or Crofton to inspect grounds . Maintenance not properly supervised or held accountable. Owners pay for grounds keeping and are not getting what they pay for. Really surprised only 3 ratings, since all of us pay an amenities fee. read more
