I admitted my dog to this vets on June 2nd 2015 under the care of Mr. Henney. I was told at the time that the disease my dog suffered from was treatable with a 40% recovery rate. I was advised to have biopsies taken in order to find the best treatment. At no point in this consultation did Mr. Henney warn me that the dog was seriously underweight and not fit for the operation. The biopsy operation was on 5th June. On 6th June I had to return the dog as he had become seriously unwell. The vets response was the dog would be better off at home and I had to insist that they took the dog's vital signs, temperature etc. It was then found the dog had a seriously high temperature, so he was re-admitted at that time. I picked up the dog on Sunday 7th after he had been placed on a drip and antibiotics. The dog died at home in the early hours of 12th June. I phoned the vet that day to report this. They promised to return my call but did not do so. I returned to Crofts personally on 13th and was told by Mr. Henney that he did not know why my dog had died. Previously I had been supplied with medication for the dog, but had been charged for two different drugs but was given one only tablet of an entirely different kind from that prescribed. I also found their reception staff to be more concerned about how up to date my payments were. I found this whole vet practice to be inefficient, uncaring, and incompetent. I personally would never use this vets again or advise anyone else to do so. read more
