Had an appointment today for my large golden doodle. That they have done before in fact it was Sydney. I thought she did a beautiful job so I made an appointment today. I went in to get my large doodle done and they refused their services on my doodle. They also said that Sydney no longer works there and continued on bad mouthing her. Saying she was a horrible dog groomer she had no business working on my dog, that my dog was in pain and mistreated! I will say one thing I've been to several dog groomers Sydney was one of the best groomers I've ever had. My large doodle is a lot of work. She took her time and did a phenomenal job. I've never been anywhere where they would sit there and badmouth an ex-employee . By the way, they grabbed my doodles leg, pulled his hair and said see it's knotted. Not too happy with them. So if you have a dog that needs a lot of work, I would never recommend you to go there. I would definitely recommend you to go to Sydney she works very hard takes her time. I have Aussies, and have tried since moving up from Scottsdale to find someone who knew how to groom Aussies. I had gotten 2 separate recommendations after seeing beautifully groomed Aussies at my agility classes, for Mary at this location, so I booked my 2 girls. She asked what I wanted, and I said Normal Aussie Grooming, and a little hygienic trimming around their butts, so no dingleberries. I was shocked at my dogs when they were returned to me. Their feathers had been trimmed off, Annie was trimmed everywhere, and Belle had "shelves" or "layers" on her chest that took months to grow out. I will never go back there. I just take them down with me to Katie at Scottsdale Pet Salon when I get my hair and nails done and we all have a Beauty Day. Such a disappointment! read more

Made an appointment for 1PM today. Arrived 10 minutes early and informed the gal, as I did when I made the appointment, I would just be hanging in the area as I live a distance away. I asked that she call when the dog ready. I was informed by the groomer that she had 2 large dogs ahead of me that had come in late for their appointments and it would be 2 1/2 to 3 hours. I left as I could not wait that long. I called on the way home to relay my displeasure as they should have at least had the courtesy to call if they could not honor the appointment time. The phone answerer stated 2 1/2 to 3 hrs is their normal time With not even an apology. I stated I would be leaving a poor review and her rude response was "for something that never happened, you walked out" then hanging up. Very unprofessional. read more

I've been going there for over 4 years and every time I go, I see happy, happy for babies whether they're waiting their turn in a crate or waiting for their owner they are always calm, they always have water. I will NEVER come back! I noticed this bald patch on my dog after we left so I came back in and asked what happened. They couldn't even figure it out so they asked the bathers and apparently my dog had something sticky on her so they just ripped it off! And didn't even let me know until I came back. Called on a Saturday mid day and was able to get in same day for grooming. They are very organized and friendly from the moment I walked in the door. The lady had our Labrador in and out within about 2 hours total for bath and nail trim. They even put an adorable bandana on her to finish her visit. Great prices and very hard working staff! I'm am shocked at the rude way I was just treated by who ever the receptionist is at CC. Up to now we've been happy with the care our Wheaten has been given, but after informing the receptionist we had a new puppy and just wanted a simple nail, sanitary and face trim and just wanted the same for our adult Wheaten just this time, (no bath just this time) she said nope, we don't do that and we're not interested! I'm really shocked at such a rude response! We'll definitely find someone else! I'm giving two stars since we had been give adequate grooming in the past. As a point of clarity, I have NEVER had anything other than a full cut done on my dog and in May this is what your shop did with no issues. It also doesn't make sense that I would call back and ask for something different than my original request. YOU made an assumption without clarifying, which again, is not the issue, it was your rude attitude which is not uncommon based on your previous reviews. When in business there are 2 sayings - do something good and the customer will tell 1 person, do something bad and they will tell 10. The second - the customer is always right!! read more

Sooo happy we found Santina! We have been using her services for about 5 years now, including at another groomer. We will follow her anywhere...She loves our Maltese, Bubba, and he loves her. Although he is a Yappy Mutt she still tells us she loves him. He always looks just fantastic when we pick him up. Santina's gentle and calm even with all that noise! Her specialty is small dogs and Maltese grooming is intensive and requires a lot of experience to keep the hair from looking "chopped". She is awesome!! If you love your dog you'll love Santina's professionalism and mellow demeanor. On a medical note... She always plucks his ear hair, never had damage of his ear canal, and releases the anal sac, which few groomers will do. Small dogs like Bubba need it regularly. Great facility as well. read more

We took our golden retriever here to get a simple groom. Mary was our groomer and she did the most disgusting grooming. Our dog came home thirsty and limping. She chopped almost all his hair off his ears and shaved all the hair on his belly off. She cut so close to his ears I thought she took some skin too. He was hurting so bad from the grooming we had to give him Tylenol just so he can walk. We have been here before and the service was good, no complaints, but when Mary groomed our dog it was horrific. His tail has chunks missing and it looks like a child did it. read more

We were in Prescott Valley for a family affair. Prior to leaving, I searched for groomers near the hotel where we staying, and I found Critter Clippers. Reviews were good, so I booked a grooming for our Pocket Bully, SweetB. Let me tell you, she is 3 1/2 years old, and I've always had mixed feelings about her groomers. Everyone loves her, but she usually comes home needed "some space" (she doesn't like getting dropped off at groomers or going to the Vet. But read on and you'll see why I'm 5-stars on this place! But, this did NOT happen when I took her here. Let me tell you: - She got the best damn grooming I've ever seen. We were blown away by how good SweetB looked and how happy she was when we picked her up. - They LOVE dogs and they LOVE kids and they LOVE family, and I LOVED seeing children play with the dogs, and there was just a happiness in the air - The price was beyond fair. They did such a bang-up job on SweetB that, if it weren't 7 1/2 hour drive to get there, I'd bring her all the time. - They paid attention and provided the services exactly as I needed. - Did I mention SweetB came home happy and engaged with us!!?? That means, she didn't have any anxiety about being dropped off and kept with them!! - COVID-19? Yup, they take excellent precautions (1 customer at a time at the counter, face masks, etc.). I was very pleased. Thank you, Critter Clippers! Our girl had a wonderful time, was so happy with her visit, and I am sad because in our 3 1/2 years with SweetB, this was the happiest and best I've seen her come back. Critter clippers is amazing it's where my mom and dad took their dog for many years and it's now where I'm bringing my two dogs. Nobody can cut my bigger dogs nails not even the vet I was informed I would have to sedate him but they do it without any problems. Both of my dogs come back so clean and happy! The groomer was very nice but I didn't like the abrupt attitude of the shop manager/owner. I won't return. I was being nice. Therefore her curtness was uncalled for. Chris bathes my 2 little dogs, Buckwheat & Dolly. They have some pretty crazy hair but no matter how ragged they look going in, they look great coming out! Chris is always friendly & professional. I love this groomer. The ladies are always so polite and friendly. My dogs always leave happy and BEAUTIFUL! I have two short hair 50+ lbs dogs and I know they can be a handful. Never any cuts or bleeding nails or anything when I get them home. They always leave with these cute bandanas on, one for my male and another for my female. TOP notch customer service for me and my pets! I know this because my dogs are excited to be there when we get to the parking lot! Location is great, plenty of parking and easy to find! Great place! I was nervous about dropping my Louie off as he is a quirky dog that can get skiddish in some situations. When I picked him up he looked beautiful and calm and happy! I took my almost 6 month old Goldendoodle that was full of burrs. I told them I didn't want her cut AT ALL and when I went to pick her up she looked beautiful! Her coat was soft and fluffy and she got all the burrs out with no cutting! I will be taking her every 4 weeks to make sure her coat stays looking great! Update 6 months later... we still love it here! We see Tiffany every 4 weeks and my doodle girl always looks beautiful when she leaves. She really knows how to cut her perfectly now that she is getting summer cuts she doesn't make her look like a poodle read more

This place gets worse all the time every time I take my dog there they take three or four hours minimum before I pick up my dog I asked them why do I have a reservation and it takes 3 to 4 hours to pick up my dog and they said we don't get to your dog sometimes for two or three hours then it takes an hour to do your dog and I said why get a reservation so my dog sits in a cage for three or four hours every time I take her there and then when I get her home she drinks water for like 10 minutes how they treat dogs is borderline criminal definitely need to find someplace else to go read more

I don't even want to leave a one star for this company I had someone come out to my house to groom my dogs My first impression was that the two people who showed up were not nice. But they were recommended by some good friends who are huge dog lovers I said give them a chance. Should have went with my first impression. Just awful. My dog was shaved when I asked for a summer cut. I can deal with that since his hair will grow back. The blood on his neck and ears I cannot deal with. I am beyond pist I hurt for my dog. Very bad experience and do not recommend. My pet was trembling when I picked him up and there was an oily film over his eyes so my dog could not even walk right and had to be carried. They did admit they were negligent in caring for him but then harassed me after I posted my dissatisfaction.
