They were extremely patient with our 18 year old dog. Did a very nice job! Claws were clipped and ground very professionally. Never asked for proof of a rabies vaccine which was great for us! We are trying to keep her anxiety level down. read more

All I can say is stay far far away from this groomers. My 18 pound silky terrier gave them more trouble than they could handle. $70.00 and Gigi was chopped up. Her head, which was in the most need was not touched. It appears they said it was all my fault. They said she was feral. I SAID SHE IS Not FERAL. She, the owner said it will cost $150.00 to get this 18 pound Yorkie groomed. I've had dogs ALL my life. Have never had any of my dogs treated like this. Am devastated. read more

Took my doodle in today and they did a fantastic job! (Elise specifically) He's a wiggler and I tried to shave him myself at home but that was not happening. She got him all clean and all the mats are gone, which was no small task. Everyone there was nice to talk to and the service was quick. No complaints at all. She even took the time to brush out his ear fur so he had a cute fluffy face. I expected him to be fully shaved with the amount of matting he had, but the effort and skill put in is great. read more

One of the worst absolute experiences of my life! The girl who trimmed my dog missed half of his body and shaved off half of his tail, which is gonna take probably two years to back! a golden doodle and he had a long beautiful 6 inches of hair... from the base of his tail to halfway to the end of his tail she cut off all of that long, beautiful hair, and I specifically said not to do it. Also, he had beautifully long hair on his ears. I also asked her not to touch the ears and came back to pick him up, and his ears are all shaved short.. When I the owner, tried to blame it on me saying that I'm not brushing my dog enough in between grooming. I had a professional dog groomer who moved out of the state who had been doing my dog for two years and never had a problem. I will not recommend them for anybody. read more

Very polite. They're awesome! They don't over charge. They took care of my dogs like their own.

They are always accommodating with my dog. The owner is super nice . They always get back to you and send you a reminder of your appointment. read more

I take it back. My dog was screaming in pain for a month after his cut. They LIED and did not do his anal glands. They were so bad they were going to burst! What an absolute rip off of my money and tip. I was informed by another groomer that they hit dogs with brushes and pull the leash way to tight around the dogs necks. Will not ever trust them with my animal again. Not even for a nail trim. read more

Wort cut ever! Total scalp job! We specifically asked for a trim and to leave an inch or 2 of fur and they gave her a buzz cut right down to the skin. So close that she spent the afternoon licking irritations left from the cut. Very uneven around her face; longer on one side of her face than the other. Same with her brow and top of her head. To me it appears someone just rushed to get her done on a busy Saturday morning. When we picked her up the woman even said she "guess I cut off more than you wanted". But didn't offer to make it right. Free or at least 1/2 price would have been appropriate. I DO NOT RECOMMEND WILL NOT GO BACK. read more

if i could do zero stars, trust me i would. I took my two shih tzu's here for well over a year. many times they came back with multiple nips and bald spots. i wrote it off as just accidental i know doggies can move around a lot. my oldest puppy is 9 and a few days after a groom we had to take her to the emergency vet at 10 o'clock at night because they lied about doing her anal glands and it had gone on for so long they were about to burst. my poor baby girl was in so much pain. once again i wrote it off and just took them to the vet for their glands. i think the final straw was me walking in to pick them up and visually seeing how mean they were to my male. he got excited to see me and was barking and apparently that was too much for their employee to handle. they rolled their eyes and huffed and puffed and aggressively pulled him out of the cage. will never ever go here again i gave way too many chances. they're constantly rude on the phone and just horrible costumer service. i should've known there was a reason they were never booked out. also i got yelled at for being late to an appointment even though google says they don't open until 9. when i showed the employee her response was "well who is that? we don't own that website?" no ma'am. don't think you own google nor any brains. i added pictures of my fur balls because who could be so mean to such cute lil marshmallows. neglectful, harmful, the opposite of animal lovers. read more

They were so aggressive with my senior dog that I asked for him back. They were rude. I have never met groomers so off putting and harsh. Most love animals and are kind people. Just trust your gut and be alert. read more

Take a pass on this groomer. I asked them to trim/blend the fine black strands on his back and not to cut his face/head and this is what they did! Of course, they're not responding to my call, so it's a No to customer satisfaction. read more

I have to large dogs a Great Pyrenees and an Hungarian Kuvaz both white as snow. If I try to bath the Great Pyrenees it takes hours with me being exhausted and dripping wet. She's a good dog and seems to actual enjoy me attempting to bath her as she loves my response as she shakes. LOL They know what's up when I walk them into Cal Ranch and start dragging me to the Groomers. Yes they like Amy and her other employees. I've tried other groomers in town but didn't feel comfortable with how they spoke to me and the fact that I wasn't allowed to see where my dogs would be kept. Amy has a large doggy play pen in full view. Been going there for about 8 years and will not go any place else. read more

Took 4lb Yorkie for grooming mom picked her up. Called when she got there because they cut her chest. Amy assured me that is was just a tiny nick and said that Gidget did not even yelp, it was so tiny it would dry up by morning. Wrong!! It was a quarter inch cut!! Still raw several days later!!! They also charged more than what I was quoted on the phone. I called and voiced my disappointment and then went back in a few days later to discuss this with photos of cut. Amy gave me $5 back from overcharge, which she says is a discount for cutting my dog, then 10% discount for cutting my dog....I want a refund, her nails were chopped and sharp, choppy hair cut. Amy says she can't do that and pretty much accused me of making a bigger cut on my own dog. Stay clear of this place!!! read more

I've been taking my wire haired Griffon to Wags 2 Whiskers for the past year. Been going to Wags 2 Whiskers for 2 years with our Golden Doodle after several friends referred them. Amy and her girls do a great job. Usually get in within a couple of days. His hair is longer so it takes some work and he always looks good. read more

This establishment came highly recommend to us by a friend so we took our dog in for grooming/bath. It seemed chaotic in there with several dogs and only two groomers. Over three hours later we picked up our dog. She was clipped incredibly short -to the point of small bald spots on her hind legs and chest area. Disappointing but ok. It will grow back. Then that evening she started shaking her head a lot. We thought maybe some water had gotten in her ears. This shaking continued the next day (Sunday). By Monday morning we knew it was something else. We took a flash light and looked in her ears: dried blood and pus throughout! Just got back from the vet. Serious infection in both ears from the groomer pulling her ear hair out. The vet said that it MUST have hurt her when it was being done. Would never go back. read more

I just had a horrible experience with this grooming facility today, I understand its before a holiday, but groomers should know how long it takes to groom a dog and schedule accordingly and not be greedy and over schedule appointments just because its before a holiday. Also, when I went to check on why it was taking so long, my 70 lb Goldendoodle almost fell off the grooming table while unsupervised, with a neck harness on. I will never take her back to this groomer!! read more

I was very happy with the cuts my two Schnauzer's got!! Not only did they schedule us within the week, they went above and beyond with Leia. She is 5 months old and hates grooming. The poor groomer got all scathed up but didn't once complain. She gave me pointers on how to help her overcome her fear. The groomers listened to me and cut exactly to my directions. Needless to say we absolutely will come back. Great Job Guys!! read more

Wags to Whiskers quite literally saved my dogs life today. Fiona, my old Pekingese was in being groomed when she had a seizure. She stopped breathing and her heart stopped beating. One of the girls there gave her mouth to snout breathing and a retired Veterinarian was nearby and heard the ruckus and came in to help. If it weren't for these ladies and DeeDee being so quick to give lifesaving aid, Fiona would be gone. I cannot thank you enough. When your pet goes to WAGS TO WHISKERS at Cal Ranch, I assure you, they WILL be cared for. Even under the worst circumstances. read more

I took my lab to this place and it cost me over 85$ I took my dog to the vet the next week because he had a large tumor on the outside of his tummy. The vet tech also stated that she cut his nails and cleaned his ears which were very dirty. She did not believe that he had been to the groomers. I told her where I went and she said there was no way my dogs ears were cleaned and his nails were trimmed. .I will never take my dog to this place. They were negligent in not telling me about the tumor which I'm sure they never saw. The tumor was cancerous. His skin was flaky. I was appalled and have told a number of my friends of my experience. read more

Our experience was really good. We took our Alaskan Malamute in for a bath and a trim. It took two of them to finish our dog due to the thick undercoat. Our dog came out looking great. $80 and 3 1/2 hours later, but we felt it was worth the work they put into our dog. For us, that's the standard price and time. And it's in CAL Ranch Store, which we like to shop in. read more

I have used them before because the price for doing my two dogs was reasonable. I would drop off my two dogs at the appointment time, and told they would be ready 3-4 hours later. I would wait around the CAL Ranch store and noticed that the last two times, it was an additional hour before they were ready. Now, I can't even get someone to pick up a phone or return messages to get an appointment! Service is rapidly declining. read more

This is the 2nd time I've had an unpleasant experience here. The first time that I went there I had a 10% off coupon and I forgot to give it to the lady until after she swiped my card and then I showed it to her and she says well too bad use it next time. The whole reason I went there was because I had the 10% off coupon. I did write this off as kind of my own fault for forgetting but I thought it would be decent business practice to give me the 10% credit. I had found a guy down in the valley that would do my dog 35 and I happened to be in Prescott one day and found her coupon in a magazine and it reminded me that I could use that coupon again. So I called her up and asked her about her availability and if there was any way I could come today since I was in town. I told her about the coupon plus it was senior day which is 10% off. I asked her how much it would be for my dog. She told me the regular rate would be 35 and that with the 10% it would be $31 and some change. When I went to pick him up and pay she told me it was $36. So I questioned her on it and she said they had a price increase. I said yes but I just called you this morning to ask you how much it was and you told me $31 it's not good business to quote somebody a price and then charge them $5 more. One of the other groomers sarcastically said well I'll give you the $5. My dog is well behaved, he's not extra work and so I was very upset about this situation. I will never go back there again and I just want other people to know her bad attitude, character and how she runs her business. My dogs cut was choppy and wasn't the best he's had on top of it. Oh and while petting him just now, I discovered a scab on his ear not only does he have one scab he's got one on each ear so they cut my dog's ears he's never had that ever. read more

This is what they did to my dog and said they had to . If they didnt use the brash they used they should have used a comb . But they used a wire brush . I took her 2 times for 7 hours and they didn't get it all and they did this to her. Will nerve go back. IMG_2612.JPG read more
