We had an appointment with Jeff that was super easy to book online. He listened to my son's concerns and to what he was actually looking for. He went above my son's expectations! Luckily Jeff was available and fit me in for a haircut. Jeff did an excellent job and gave me a fade haircut exactly as I requested. Kindly, as I was cashing out, he applied a discount for serving in the Armed Forces. I will definitely return in the future.

But it was the best cut without having to go into Dorchester. Flash forward a few years and now I can't even book an appointment (even pre-covid). For over a year, they did't answer phone calls and voicemails, rarely answered facrbook messages, and they don't do walk-ins. I tried to book in-person and was always told that they were fully booked for the next month or two. I've only kept trying because the are so close to me, otherwise it's not worth the difficulty.

I've had cuts here over the past year from multiple barbers and I've never left disappointed. There were a few times that I had to wait despite having an appointment on weekend mornings. However, I understand it happens at times so I don't fault them for trying to keep up with the demand because maybe their clients show up late or they try to make sure their cuts are perfect instead of rushing people out. They prioritize the appointments so be sure to book on their site to make things easier, but they do take walk ins as well. The shop is newly renovated, clean, and has plenty of seating if you're waiting. The parking is easy with spots along the entire street even during the winter. I currently go to Rich primarily, but I've had cuts by Annie and Tiffany, who both gave me great cuts and Annie offered recommendations for my hairstyle. I've seen some cuts by the other barbers while waiting or during my cut and they seem to do a good job as well. Be sure to bring pictures if you're particular about your cut and it doesn't hurt to remind your barber even if you've been going to them for a while since they have so many clients and your "usual" can vary over time as in any barbershop. Rich actively encourages me to remind him of what I prefer and offers suggestions if I have any concerns about my hair. I highly recommend this shop if you're looking for a consistent quality cut for a good price.

While my first visit was not ideal (the barber was super rough while cutting my sides with the trimmer and I had a headache by the end of it), every visit since then has been significantly better. My latest visit was with a new barber named Jose, who was incredibly friendly and attentive to what I needed in a haircut. The only miss for me was when he started trimming into my beard because he misunderstood when I said I would trim it myself.
