I have been a loyal Cricket customer for five years, and I am deeply disappointed with the service at this location. My family and I have owned numerous phones on this account, and usually, when we have to replace a phone it is due to the phone breaking in an accident. Not a problem of Cricket's for certain. However, on December 21, 2018, I had to replace a phone due to such a case. the guy working there that night highly recommended the Motorola Mot e5 Supra, I have favored the LG brand for years.
On his recommendation, I purchased the Motorola phone. Because my old phone was destroyed, he said I would have to do the set up on my phone because he couldn't export information from it. Fair enough. I sat in the parking lot to begin setting it up, and it would not turn on. I went back into the store, and after he played with the buttons on the side for a few minutes it came on. He assured me that was normal, and that it might also randomly reboot itself due to updates.
Over the course of the three weeks that I had the phone, it would reboot itself numerous times a day. Until finally, it wouldn't turn on again. I contacted Cricket's corporate reps through their support chat, and they assured me that I could go back to the store I bought it at and trade it for another phone. I printed out the chat, and I still have the print out stating this.
The manager was not on site when I arrived at the store and refused to honor what the corporate reps said could be done. because the purchase was more than seven days old. He refused to speak with me when I requested to speak with him to explain the issue. The absolute lack of courtesy, respect, and customer service from the manager has made me rethink on if I even want to continue to be a Cricket customer.
I was not asking for a refund, I was willing to trade to a more expensive phone and pay whatever the difference was for it. Just so I would I have a reliable phone.
I even spoke with corporate again when I returned home, and the rep stated that the store should've been able to trade it. I am absolutely infuriated! read more
