I met with the owner, Cory Armetta, on a Thursday morning and i had a few questions about how it would be done including depth of grind, chip removal and price. He gave me the price which was in the Chatgpt range and we shook hands on it. Cory and his crew came the next day. Very organized and hard working. They were done in about 2 1/2hrs. I was super impressed, they left the area ready for grass seed and even raked a bunch of leaves that were in some plants. He was extremely professional and very cognizant of our landscaping and fence very close to the tree. We agreed on the price (and to our surprise) they were available that afternoon to remove the tree. Since it had rained, the stump removal would have to be delayed so as not to damage our lawn with the heavier grinder. Watching them remove the tree piece by piece was fascinating and so skilled. American Way did a great job of taking down the tree and grinding the stump, but they still owe us the fill dirt and seed. We had other projects going on in the same area of the yard and asked them to hold off on the dirt until we needed it. We have those projects done and have called American Way for the fill dirt. They have promised they would deliver the dirt, but have not come through. We have followed up many times and we either get an answer machine or someone answers and hangs up. We have left a message giving them the option of paying us back for the dirt and seed. We have not heard back from them. UPDATE 1/23/16 I finally got a refund of $100 for the dirt that was never delivered. They paid $65 in cash and $35 by check (pending it clears).

I called a ceterfied arborist witch confirmed there was no problem with the tree as burr oak trees heal wounds on their own as it was compartilizing healing itself. and there was no rot into the main trunk!!!!!! They said it could last for years Idid send this moron a text right after and telling him this and said nothing against you but glad I got a second opinion. At that time this crook blocked my phone and I had no idea. But when I called him this spring to let him know he missed over 70 % of the dead limbs after the tree started budding out I hired him to remove. my call would not go through. Finally I used my wife's phone and the excuses started because he answered. He then had the audiaciy to tell me he did a wonderful job and my tree is dying !!!!!
