You should seriously think twice about booking a hog hunt! There is nothing authentic about the…read moreexperience. You will go through 45 minutes of preparation getting a safety talk, signing documents, talking about gun safety. The safety stuff is fine, but he talks a lot about big hogs vs. small hogs and needing to pay extra if you shoot a big hog. He talks about the possibility of infected meat, which I will get to later... You will then drive a really crappy side by side with no windshield 50 yards around the corner to a fenced dirt field 1/4 the size of a football field with 50 hogs in it, a couple of small muddy ponds, and 10 trees. The guide basically herds the hogs into a spot where they are up against a corner spot in the fence and don't know where to run to, so stop. The guide waits until you have a shot at a small hog where the chance of hitting a big hog is low and then tells you to take the shot at about 50 yards. Half the time, they decide to run away before the guide identifies a hog to kill, so you will do this 5-10 times. The rental guns are really crummy with really crummy bipods and really crummy scopes and you will have to shoot from the side-by-side with no real place to rest it except for the uneven side by side dashboard. The hogs themselves are often have major staff and other bacterial infections. They cut each other up since the tusks are kept on the males and they are kept in such close quarters. The guide warns you in the beginning that the hogs could have portions of meat that can't be eaten due to infections. In my case, the entire hog was covered with infections and the two tenderloins were the only edible portions. In retrospect, I think about his warning about infection and realize that this is super common. The owner and guide is a relatively nice guy, but you can see in his face that he knows he is selling a false experience and that you will be disappointed that this is not really hunting and that the meat is often infected and inedible. You are basically paying to get the photo that you see everyone post. People seem to give the alligator stuff good reviews, but consider this fair warning that the hog hunting is super lame. Buyer beware!

He helped me understand what it's like to have the adrenaline when your kill is in front of you. He also gave me some good pointer tips for using my bow. But unfortunately I missed my kill on day one. But the morning after I killed a good 125-145lbs big with a 223. Jim skinned that sucker less then 20 mins, he also cut up everything and put in a trash bag for me and my dad (we had only brought a 3 gallon cooler, so we had to improvise) but we left the place with 45lbs of meat! The food was OUTSTANDING we had dinner and breakfast and it was amazing. Pock chops, buckwheat, eggplant salad for dinner and breakfast was biscuits and gravy with subside up eggs! The bedrooms were really nice and clean. They also have a pool, hot tub and sauna (which we didn't use) but I love this place (and this is my first time hunting and I'm a girl) over all I'm definitely doing to tell my dad that I want to come back and take some of my friends with me. I totally recommend going here if you plan on hunting.

After meeting up with the couple we drove a few miles to a private location, where James had seen an alligator in one of the ponds. He wasn't sure if the gator was 5 or 10 feet. We boarded a swamp buggy with James, Brenda, Cindy(my girlfriend) and myself. James drove to the first pond and didn't see a gator. I was searching and I wasn't aware we were looking for bubbles in the water not a gator on the side of the water. The next pond we stopped at James saw bubbles and said there's a gator. After stopping the swamp buggy and retrieving the fishing rods I was in for the fight of my life. The gator went where ever he wanted ,but I was resident and refused to give in. With my arms and body shaking from the battle between the gator and myself I was able to land him and dispatch him. The gator tuned out to be 10ft, 2.5 inches, weighing approximately 350 pounds. They took numerous photos and posted them and a video of my fight to their websight. If you want the experience of a lifetime, contact James Ivey, the American Alligator Hunter. I guarantee he and his wife, Brenda can accommodate your adventure, weather it be 1 or more people in the group. I give them a 5 star out of 5 for a great time. Tommy Stein

The total principal amount overdue is USD 144,087.53, with a mutually acknowledged partial interest of USD 35,631.60, resulting in a total outstanding debt of USD 179,719.13, which has remained unpaid for an extended period exceeding two years. Despite repeated payment promises made directly by the company's responsible principal, Mr. Tim Peter, who on multiple occasions committed to "arranging payment as soon as possible," no payment has been received to date. These empty commitments, stretching over more than two years, represent a severe breach of commercial good faith and have caused significant financial and operational injury to our company. CREW is the acronym for the sixty thousand acre Corkscrew Regional Ecosystem Watershed. The CREW…read moreLand & Water Trust was established in 1989 as a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to purchase land, manage it, and offer public outreach. The CREW project includes parts of southern Lee and northern Collier Counties in southwest Florida. The Corkscrew Marsh, Bird Rookery Swamp, Flint Pen Strand, Camp Keais Strand, and the Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary are all CREW lands. Fifty-five thousand acres of CREW land is in preservation and it provides flood protection, water filtration and important aquifer recharge. They would like to purchase even more land in order to preserve natural resources such as water and to offer protection for wildlife. I have been fortunate enough to explore several of the CREW properties and each is a treasure of native plants and animals and unspoiled wilderness. The CREW Marsh Hiking Trails is also known as Gate 1. There is a $3 suggested cash donation requested. The Marsh Trails has 5.5 miles of marked loop trails through pine flatwoods, oak hammocks, and popash slough communities that sit along the edge of a 5,000 acre sawgrass marsh. Most of the trails are wide and flat with few onstructions. The Hammock Trail leads to a primitive camp site at the south\western end of the trail system. The Pine Flatwoods Trail Loop is a grassy trail that goes through the uplands where you will see a lot of wildflowers. The Marsh Loop Trail extends off of the south side of the Pine Flatwoods Trail. It goes through pine and palm scrub land before running alongside a Sawgrass marsh at the southern edge of the loop. You may encounter mud on the trail in the winter and standing water in the summer. An observation deck sits over the open sawgrass marsh and a short boardwalk ends at an observation deck over a seasonal pond. Suzanne's Pavilion which is a good place for a picnic lunch is an approximate .7 mile hike from the parking lot. The CREW Marsh Trails are part of the Great Florida Birding and Wildlife Trail. Bird watchers can expect to find woodpeckers, flycatchers, warblers, hawks, owls, bald eagles, turkeys, songbirds, and Swallow tailed kites who nest here each spring. This is also an area where you can expect to see black bears, panthers, deer, and alligators. This is a primitive trail system. A port-a-potty is available at the trailhead along with a kiosk that provides maps and information. There are no trash cans so take out what you bring in. CREW Marsh Trails are open one hour before sunrise to one hour after sunset. Five dollar guided hikes are offered the 3rd Tuesday of the month from November through April.
