I would not recommend this park district venue. The room was extremely hot throughout the event,…read moreand when we asked the staff about the air conditioning, they were rude and dismissive, repeatedly insisting it was on even though the room next to us was noticeably much cooler. Guests who stepped into the hallway to cool off were told to go back inside, with little concern for their comfort. This was my cousin's wedding, and it's unfortunate that she and her guests spent so much of the day hot and uncomfortable and couldn't enjoy themselves. Overall, the poor customer service and uncomfortable conditions made for a disappointing experience. There was no concern to our comfort in addition to the rude responses from the staff. I would not recommend this venue.

So... to say I was stressed would be an understatement!! Nikki was calm and never seemed bothered by my random questions. My special day was so amazing PJ (I think) was the lead server she was also amazing!!!! I brought my bins and gave her my vision of how I wanted tables set up and when I walked in I was taken aback by how beautiful it was!!!! THE FOOD omg the good was bomb.com! Everyone raved about how good the food was and boy oh boy was there a lot! We literally had everything- jalapeño poppers, taco bar, hot dog bar, mushroom brochette literally every thing PLUS our main meal I had salmon (cuz ya girl don't eat the land animals aka the meats) they had stake and chicken, both with potato and veggies and it was good!!!

Wow.. just wow!…read more You would never know the capabilities of this place just driving past it on a whim. This place is great for a wedding or Upscale event. I recently visited Avalon Manor for a Wedding/Reception and everything was perfect, except for the fact that there was another event next to ours that was really loud and distracting. I wish they could make the rooms sound proof somehow so other events don't interfere with yours. But other than that, this is a great place for a Wedding,Reception, Meeting and whatever else you could think up! Check it out for your next event.

He tried to work with the facility, but they said they only had one option...but it was also something we are allergic too. We thought they were going to work something out in the months before the wedding, but when it came time to eat dinner, we were offered nothing. No food we could eat except the green beans. What made it worse was that the serving personnel couldn't care less. They had attitude. Said they would check on things and never came back then got snappy when we followed up. They said they would send someone out, but no one came. The chef apparently came out to all the tables to check on things, but not about us specifically. We were seated at the mother of the groom's table. Next to the father of the groom's table and the parent's of the bride's table. We were the very last to be served. They served the room, starting at the outer, furthest from the head table. The bar tender was extremely rude. Yes, the bar was closed, but we had a kid who needed something to drink. She did end up serving the pop, but did so with anger. On tables of 10 people, they had one pitcher of water and refilled it once only. For the whole night. And this was NOT just our table. NO tables had more than one refill on the one pitcher. To top it off no one was attending the bathrooms. The trash cans were overflowing and there were no towels for your hands by 10:00 and we had the room until 12. The men's bathroom was apparently worst. I absolutely would not suggest this to anyone. Classless.
