The first day I went (on a Friday) I was moved all over the office and they did an x-ray. Gave me pain meds and an antibiotic. Told me to come back Wednesday and they would replace it. I live 30 minutes away. I went back and he examined my space and said there is no infection. I knew I didn't have one when I went in the first time. Come back in 2 weeks, he said he doesn't do implants. What?? My original surgeon in Charleston did and what was I coming here for then? Now he said he was going to call my dentist. 2 weeks later I get a call from my dentist. He said Dr. Dunlap was going to have to order my implant. This made no sense. My implant was still in the gum, it was my post that came out. So I get a message stating I had an appointment the next Wednesday. I called and told them I couldn't come then. The secretary said it was the 6th which was 2 weeks later. I told them I had already been without a tooth for 2 months could they not get me in sooner? She said well you said you can't come in Wednesday, I told her she said I didn't have an appointment. Then Dr. Dunlap was out of town until the 6th. So I go in on the 6th. I wait an hour. I asked how much longer and the secretary said they were running behind. I told them they could have called me. She said they weren't running behind until this patient. I asked how much longer it would be and she said an hour. I sat back down for a few minutes and then told her I was leaving and for them to give me a call when he is nearing availability. She first said she never told me an hour. I am a pharmacist, I don't make things up. She said if you leave, I'm not calling you back. How rude is that? It wasn't my fault and it wasn't an emergency patient. So I told my mother about it. She recommended Dr. King in Easley that she went to . I called and got in within 2 days. He was so nice. He told me my implant was still in place and all he needed to do was cut the gum back open and insert the post back. I told him that sounds good and when can I come back? He said he had a cancellation of a major surgery, and replaced it with a smaller one. He said I can do it now so you don't have to come back. 15 minutes later he had numbed me up, cut the tissue, inserted the post and I was out the door. I didn't need to come back. An hour in his office. Where I was over 2 months waiting, was lied to about having to order a part, lied to about not doing surgery, lied to about the wait time, etc . Dr. Dunlaps office wouldn't give Dr. King's office my Dental Insurance and they never called me back either. If you want an honest, knowledgeable oral surgeon, do not go to Dr. Dunlap. I recommend Dr. King in Easley. It is a drive, but knowledge, compassion and honesty means more.

Second appointment I was called back promptly and the staff was very polite and knowledgeable about the process I have been wanting to have done they setup my second appointment for a few weeks later to have implants put in . I will leave another review after I have this procedure done. Praying for a quick and smooth procedure with great outcome

My experience started off on a positive note surprisingly back in January 2020…read more Fast forward to this month, June on a Friday, and I was scheduled for my realignment. Now, the only issue I was having was that my bottom plate no longer would stay in because my gums shrunk. So no matter how much adhesive I used, they wouldn't set correctly. The same with my uppers but my uppers stayed in but felt like they were too big because I would gag allot from the plate touching the back of my tongue. After my realign, I get into the truck look in the mirror and smile and seen that the front two teeth were facing to the right. I immediately phoned the office from the parking lot, because the doors are locked due to COVID-19, to let them know what's going on so I can come back in and get it taken care of. Had to reschedule for the following Monday, which is today. Remainder of Friday whenever I ate, the upper plate would shift side to side and I also noticed that saliva continued to spew out the front. When I pulled my upper lip up, the indenture that is at the top was not normal, it wasn't the sharp "v", it looked like the indenture on a top lip. Which explained the amount of saliva pouring out the front. Friday evening before turning in for the night, I took out the tops and I was shocked! It looked as though a toddler made the gum part out of play dough. Without describing all the flaws and erroneous handiwork of the associate, please see the photos. The upper plate looked like something you would buy from DG for $1 for halloween. Today's appointment I get the same associate. I explained the issues. She gets someone else in who performs some bite tests, which were never done on friday, and said that my bite has changed, which I agree, and the tops may not be able to be repaired and that new ones would more than likely need to be done. In walks either an oral surgeon or a denture expert who concurred. Original associate walks back in, places the bottoms and tops in then says, "we'll have to reschedule to come back in to make impressions for the tops." Well, earliest is 9 days out. So it appeared my visit was over and I asked, "well, can something be done temporarily with these uppers because I am burning through adhesive due to having to remove the uppers after eating and reapply new adhesive because they pop out when I eat?" The answer was no. SO...now I have to wait another 9 days and spend extra money on adhesive and already mentioned that the dentures, since they were shifting, was causing pain...so that doesn't matter either apparantly. On top of that, I'm having to walk around like Tugg Speedman, playing the role of Jack in Tropic Thunder. My advice, please use due diligence in researching reviews of business offering denture services or speak to someone you know. Everyone will have their own experiences as I did mine. I'm giving 3 stars because I can not fault the company as a whole. I think that lands on the associates. BUT...this should have been addressed the same day when I phoned them from their parking lot and something should have been temporarily done with the uppers until the appointment in 9 days. Don't let the word "affordable" be the deciding factor. Good luck.
