Neither my wife or myself have been to a dentist in the last 20 years, mainly due to an insane…read moreaversion to pain and fear. A couple of months ago my wife had finally got to a point where she had to have some major work done on her teeth and she settled on Grand Oaks dental in Anderson, SC. After her first appointment (just one of many) she came back bragging about how pain free the whole ordeal was and said that if she would have known it would be this easy she would have gone years ago. I was a bit skeptical of this boast and thought that maybe the Dr hypnotized while she was under the gas or that it might just be a ploy to get me to the dentist myself so I would feel as miserable as she does. She stuck to her story after several visits and I agreed to go. On my first visit my apprehension grew even more when Dr Cannick came in. She looked to be about 18 years old and fresh out of high school. My fears were quickly put to rest though after talking with her for a few minutes. She and her staff are very professional at all times. All of the procedures were fully explained ahead of time and all questions answered. She has surrounded herself with a crackerjack support team whom all seem to love their job.

No I do not . The dentist herself is pleasant and very knowledgeable, however if you do not respond…read moreto the text they sent they cancel your appointment. In my line of work I don't always have a phone . Also they like changing your appointment's around, and most people ask of work ahead of time for the appointment. This is an inconvenience at the least .

https://www.facebook.com/share/p/cx2nCTgts6BPwHcN/…read more I'm here at my Dentist office writing this review. When my previous dentist Dr. Groeber retired, I was heartbroken. But, the new Dentist that took over, Doctor Horn, is also exceptional! I am waiting while they are currently preparing the crown. But my root canal and filling are finished! Tia has taken good care of me for years... and now assists Dr. Horn in my care. During the root canal, I never felt a pinch of pain! I'm so impressed. Dr. Horn has won me over.

I was a longtime patient of Dr. Groeber and absolutely loved him and the care I received at his…read morepractice. Unfortunately, after he retired and sold the practice to ProGrin, things went downhill. One of my biggest concerns has been the constant turnover of dentists. It seems like there is a different dentist every year, making it difficult to establish trust or receive consistent care. At my most recent visit, the newest dentist spent approximately two minutes with me before telling me I needed an expensive crown because an old filling had fallen out. He then handed me his business card and told me to call his number if I had questions. The entire interaction felt rushed and unprofessional. I decided to get a second opinion and discovered that I didn't need a crown at all. I simply needed the filling replaced. What concerns me far more is that I had been attending regular dental appointments at ProGrin, including having X-rays taken in July 2026. When I switched dentists, my new dentist discovered significant bone loss around another tooth that was visible on those X-rays. Yet no one at ProGrin had ever mentioned this to me. I later learned that the tooth had a serious, longstanding infection and ultimately had to be extracted. To make matters worse, when my new dentist requested my X-rays from ProGrin, they initially sent the images from 2025 instead of the more recent ones from July 2026. My new dental office was preparing to take additional X-rays because they believed the 2025 images were the most current. I had to explain that I had X-rays taken just a few months earlier, prompting them to request the correct records. I find it incredibly frustrating that I was attending regular appointments, trusting this office to monitor my dental health, and was never informed of such a serious problem. Meanwhile, I was being recommended an expensive procedure that another dentist determined wasn't necessary. Patients deserve consistent care, thorough examinations, accurate records, and clear communication about their dental health. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I truly miss the care and personal attention I received from Dr. Groeber. I stayed with the practice because of that positive experience, but I wish I had made the decision to leave sooner. This experience has seriously damaged my trust in ProGrin of Anderson.
