NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our experience was nothing less than a nightmare. We chose them because I heard their radio ad saying that they do not charge points and ended up paying a point. Truth in advertising??? I think not!!! From beginning to end this was a total disaster. We would send information and everything would be quiet, as another Yelper has said, and then they wanted more. And this went on and on and on. They continued to blame one of two reasons for the constant delays: 1) their underwriter and 2) the patriot act. This went on non-stop for weeks and weeks and weeks. It was like we were the first customer they had ever had in their life. The left hand didn't seem to know what the right hand was doing. Escrow closed late in part because of their delays. We finally came to the opinion that their underwriter must have learned how to process a residential loan from one of those "Dummies" books because they kept asking for more and more like they knew they needed something but not sure what it was. The account manager would then say that if we didn't give the underwriter what they were asking for then the loan might be canceled. Case in point, we told them we would NOT sign a document that made absolutely NO SENSE to us and was incorrect in our opinion. We were told that the underwriter might deny the loan. The very next day we were sent another piece of paper to sign that said exactly the opposite of what they wanted us to sign the day before and we would not sign. Just absolutely nuts!! There were SO many aggravations and delays and delays but we were so far in they had us stuck unless we really wanted to start all over again with another company. We have gone through seven residential home loans over a number of years and they were so easy. CRESTLINE FUNDING MADE IT AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE. At one point I asked that the owner of the company, who is in the advertisement, call me regarding this awful loan process....of course, he never called. When people ask me what I would do differently if I started this loan process again I tell them, without any hesitancy, that I would GO DIRECTLY WITH A BANK !! Why I thought this would be easier I have no idea, but it was such an awful experience. WE WOULD NEVER USE THIS COMPANY EVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!! read more

I recently refinanced my house with Crestline Funding. Dave Paulson was the broker I dealt with. I was extremely satisfied with both Dave and Crestline Funding. Let me start out by saying that prior to going to Crestline, I had applied with CashCall mortgage. What a nightmare that turned out to be. No one there had any idea what was going on. It seemed like every time I called or they called me it was a different person handling my file. A clear case of the left hand not knowing what the right hand was doing. I put up with it because it seemed like the loan was progressing. We even met with the notary to sign final documents. The loan was scheduled to close a few days after. That never happened! I did not hear back the following week regarding the loan being funded. After calling them and getting the typical run around, I found out that underwriting had unapproved the loan due to something that should have been caught at the initial application. Not even an apology. Now back to Crestline Funding. I reached out to them and was assigned to Dave Paulson. He was my broker from start to finish. I was honest with him and explained my situation of self employment. He explained how it all worked and while not promising my approval, he provided several options for me. He kept in constant contact with my phone and email through the entire process. Through his diligence, we were approved and at a good rate. While it was not a quick process (about 30 days) he got me a rate lock and final approval. Dave and Crestline Funding were professional, diligent and thorough. No gimmicks. By refinancing I saved about $250 per month on my mortgage payment and with nothing out of my pocket.. If you are looking for a home loan or refi, check out Dave Paulson at Crestline Funding. read more

From our recent experience during April/May 2012, we would wholeheartedly recommend Crestline Funding. When my husband and I decided to try to refinance our home this spring, Crestline Funding was one of the companyies we contacted along with our current mortgage lender, a local credit union and another well known online loan company. After speaking to the other potential lenders who were not interested in listening to what we wanted but instead wanted to sell us a product based on what they thought we needed, it was a breadth of fresh air to speak to Bill Abbey at Crestline Funding. We were able to speak to Bill at length about what our situation was and what we wanted from the refinance. He actively listened to us and then provided us the information we needed to decide which loan options would fit our needs. Once we decided to work with Crestline Funding, Bill Abbey made the loan process very easy to understand and quick to work through. Everyone we spoke to at Crestline as well as the appraisers were very professional and knowledgeable. From my first phone enquiry it took only 8 weeks to close the loan (it would have taken less time but we had a week's holiday in the middle of the process.) Crestline Funding was able to provided us with the lowest interest rates and closing costs we found as well as excellent and timely service. Thank you Bill. read more

I just wrapped up a refinance with Crestline and thanks to Paul Cannady it was done in the best possible way. At first I went on a website that I thought was Crestline's but was actually Lending Tree. As soon I pushed the enter button my phone ran off the hook with offers from various lenders. I listened to some of them and then researched them. To my amazement, they all had fair to horrible recommendations. I then researched Crestline and found mostly good to excellent recommendations. I called Crestline and Paul Cannady answered. As soon as I started talking to him I felt at ease and confident that this was the lender I wanted. Paul explained everything very simply and throughly and answered all my questions to my satisfaction. As the loan progressed, Paul kept me informed on what was needed and always returned phone calls and e-mails in a timely manner. He made the paperwork process almost painless by using e-signing. The whole process was handled very professionally. Paul Cannady was trustworthy and honest during all the negotiations. These qualities may be hard to find in a lot of other lenders. It is our pleasure to recommend Stephen Moye with the highest rating possible. He came referred to us by one of his repeat clients who couldnt stop singing his praises, which was great news for us since we had had negative experiences with previous lenders in the past. From the first phone call, Stephen impressed us with his attentiveness and extensive knowledge of the process. We were presented with realistic options and near-daily updates via both email and phone. We never felt disconnected from the process. Over the course of our business, Stephen researched the latest options in regards to current government programs, and was in close contact with Crestline management working to get us the best deal. In the end, he closed our loan at a fantastic low rate, extremely low out of pocket costs, and in a realistic time frame. We could not be happier with the outcome and highly, highly refer Stephen Moye and Crestline Funding! read more

Closed on our refinance today!! We had heard about Crestline Funding through a radio ad. Came home and did our research and found that they had an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and great online reviews from customers. So, we made the call and found ourselves dealing with an amazing mortgage loan officer by the name of Mark Shikany. Mark's knowledge and superior professionalism won us over right away. He was able to help us refinance our home after having suffered through a short sale three years prior. He always made sure we understood the process and technical aspects of all the refinance numbers making us feel confident that we had chosen the right company. the whole process took about a month from start to finish. They have everything streamlined and easy to navigate on their website. If you are looking for someone to help you with your mortgage - We highly recommend Mark at Crestline Funding. read more

NEVER again with Crestline Funding for us. We will not mention names or details of getting a loan from this company as some Yelp reviews have done. Very simply said, the BAD reviews on Yelp were pretty much what we experienced. From bad customer service to delays in processing paperwork to ending up paying points that were not expected and getting pushed on us at the last minute. The loan ended up costing us much, much more than we had planned and took much, much longer than we ever thought possible. If you are considering using this company then you need to read the Yelp reviews and make up your own mind but this was OUR experience. We will never use Crestline Funding again. It is not worth the frustration and aggravation that we experienced. read more

I have been a Realtor in the San Diego area since '99 and Stephen Moye is by far my favorite lender to work with. He is not only a great lender (He has done approx 50 loans for my clients), but he truly cares about my people. He has talked plenty of my people OUT of doing a refinance loan because he felt (after checking out the loan they were in) it was not in my client's best interest (Other lenders would do the opposite). That's how he does business. He does a great, honest service and lets the word spread naturally. Stephen just helped one of my client's refinance even though they were upside down (& lowered their payment. Stephen is the lender I refer to all of my people. Simply put, Stephen Moye, Senior Loan Officer at Crestline Funding was an answer to a prayer. The economy, falling home value and the inability to find a refinance strategy from other lenders did not stop Stephen from finding a solution that has now combined our first, second and third to one low interest rate saving us over $700.00 a month as well as countless thousands over the life of the loan. If you want someone who is honest, forthright and gets the job done as if you were family, I would highly recommend Stephen Moye and Crestline funding. This is the second time we have refinanced with Crestline and I have complete faith and confidence in them. read more

Working with Creastline funding was an excellent experience from start to finish with both of my refi's - one approximately 3 years ago and and a recent one just concluded this week. Stephen Moye handled both, and both were closed in less than a month. I found Stepen to be accessable, forthright, honest and kept me up to date with frequent contact, both by telephone and EMail. I was initially recommended to Stephen bya close friend who was most ebulent in his praise. The recommendation was not exagerated. I strongly recommend Crestline Funding and Stephen Moye. read more

I did 2 recent re-fi's with Crestline & Stephen Moye. I had very positive experience each time. Mine was not an easy loan and it required a lot of documentation, but Stephen guided us well and he was very patient with us while we collected all these documents, and provided all documents to him Electronically. Both re-fi loans closed successfully, and within the Interest range quoted to us in the beginning. I will certainly be working with Crestline for any of my future re-fi/purchase loan needs.
