First of all let me just tell you...this guy Edwin of Cresentia Musiis an AWESOME keyboard service tech! He fixed my keyboard in less than 2 days...on a weekend! When most other shops would have been 2-3 weeks! If you need some keyboard service done, don't waste your time with other shops, just call him! He's very personable and will take the time to diagnose your service issue with him one on one, he will tell you what he thinks, and won't charge you crazy upfront diagnostics fees (which means he knows what he's doing because he is confident in his work!)! His mantra was even if I work on it...if I can't fix your issue, you won't have to pay! This guy does it all, broken keys, screens, board work, whatever upkeep your keyboard may need, he can do it! He repaired my Roland Jupiter 50, and I will probably never get rid of it because of him! Thank you so much! read more

Edwin got my Korg Triton up and running again. Unless you are really good with electronics, let a professional handle changing keys and troubleshooting your keyboards and instruments. He was kind, friendly, and I enjoyed the time I got to chat with him. Don't think twice, give him a call ! read more

Its been a while since i left a review. For about 5 years my lcd screen on my korg triton extreme went out. So i took it to a place near my house. The guy told me that korg no longer made that part. So i was frustrated only being able to use a piano sound because i could not maneuver as the screen was not readable. I took it to Cresenta music and this guy said he could do it. Explained the two possible causes. About 2 weeks later he calls me and says its all done. Also replaced 3 cracked keys. Edwin is a Genius. God bless you Edwin!!!! Im so happy and ha e rediscovered the beautiful sounds on my korg triton. Thanks so much Ceesenta music.. read more

Edwin is the best! I recently took my daughter's digital Yamaha for repair, second time in 2 years (due to Yamaha's faulty wighted-key design). After Edwin quoted me a price, he found 12 more keys needed repair. Edwin ended charging me the same price and made the additional repair! The world needs more people like Edwin. Be like Edwin. read more

My 20-year-old KORG SP-100 began to have issues powering up until it would not power at all. Although I had already gotten many good years out of it, I hated the idea of discarding if the keyboard might be repairable. Throwaway thinking is bad for our world and I try not to do it. Fortunately I found Edwin and Crescenta Music! Edwin restored my keyboard to perfect working order by re-soldering the jack wiring inside it. Though I was not in a hurry, he nonetheless had it ready for me quickly. I am so thrilled to be playing my keyboard again. I found Edwin to be knowledgeable, honest, trustworthy, and kind. His rates are absolutely reasonable. I highly recommend Edwin/Crescenta Music for keyboard repairs. I'm glad I know where to go next time. read more

Top notch service from Edwin! I called him up to have my church keyboard repaired. He gave me an estimate based on price of the parts (he even showed me how much it would cost for him) plus labor. Then he called me later saying that the keys were just dislocated, not broken, so he wouldn't need to order the keys which made the cost even cheaper. He was super accommodating with me since I had to visit him late at night, and on a Sunday morning to pick up. Highly recommended! read more

Crescenta Music is great! I have a Yamaha keyboard that had one dead key, and one stuck key. I dropped it off and it was fixed the next day in time for my sons piano lessons, at the quoted price. Super friendly service! Quick note, the store is at the foothill location, but he operates very nearby. Glad I called! read more

I was helped with an issue i was having with my Korg Pa3x keyboard. Edwin was amazing and extremely helpful. This was a very desperate situation and I had no other resorts multiple other music stores and services turned me away. Someone referred me to Cresenta Music and I was helped immediately with patience and understanding very very helpful. I was given a solution to my issue in my keyboard works better than it did before. Any type of issues you may have this is the place to go. read more

Edwin was recommended to me by my musician friend who uses his services for his instruments. I had a problem with my Roland R70 drum machine and KORG Triton keyboard. Both instruments were fixed and are working great now. read more

Brought my Yamaha dx7 (volume fader issue + mod wheel fix) and Yamaha reface CP (internal speaker + headphone jack not working). Edwin was kind and patient enough to answer all my questions and make perfect repairs in the quickest/most efficient manner possible. Where as other shops I've called had a waitlist of 2-4 weeks, Edwin had both of my keyboard synths ready in about 4 days, would've been done sooner if he hadn't had to order the replacement parts online. Either way, I'm happy with the service provided and I'll be coming back to Edwin for any future music electronics repairs. read more

I highly recommend Crescenta Music. I recently got my Yamaha electric piano repaired by Edwin. It was a quick and easy process. I really appreciate the fast response time, fair prices and flexibility with scheduling. I've been playing my piano every day since :) Thanks for your help!! read more

I have two Omnichords that needed to be repaired and it's pretty tough to find someone willing to take the time and effort to fix them, most synth shops just tell me "it's not worth it" or "you should just buy a new one". I took them to Edwin and the guy couldn't have been more helpful, communicative and reasonably priced. He was open to replacing parts but offered me a better and quicker solution to my problems and both units are working better than ever. I'll continue to go to Edwin with ANY electronic help I need. Thanks Edwin! read more

Edwin is the man! Brought my 76 Key Yamaha Motif here to be repaired on Saturday Aug 27th 2017. This was my 1st time having this board replaced and everyone I called before this place had a long wait time, a bench fee, and phone estimates that were super expensive. I found this place online and he said I could bring my board in the same day and he would start working on it Monday. Got to the store Saturday afternoon, he helped me bring it in and tested it out, told me what he thought might be wrong and about how long it would be. I was originally quoted somewhere between 200 and 250 for the possible repairs, but it turned out to be a little bit more tedious than expected and parts had to be ordered so I ended up paying 280. This was still worth it!! He got my keyboard done 2 days ahead of schedule, showed me the parts he replaced with the receipts, and opened his store after hours just to accommodate my schedule to pick it up.. Great service, great price, great personality. IF I ever need another repair, I will go back to Edwin! read more

What a find Edwin is! I brought him my daughter's Yamaha piano keyboard with it's 3 keys that had started to stick and he was able to quickly determine the issue and fix it good as new. As long as we have a piano keyboard in the house, I'm keeping Edwin's number handy. Professional, personable and very reasonably priced! read more

I do my own light repairs on my musical instruments but whenever the issue is more complex, I'll take it to a shop. I found this shop via Craigslist (after learning that a certain shop in Pasadena that was recommended to me was still not accepting new repairs due to being back-logged for months) and gave them a call when my Alesis QS6 keyboard wouldn't save patches despite me replacing the internal battery. I sent the unit into the shop on a Monday, and told them "No rush," since this wasn't a keyboard I played all the time. Edwin gave me a call on Wednesday evening (!) telling me he was done with the repairs. Unlike most electronic musical instrument repair shops, which simply swap out a circuit board and call it a day, Edwin actually looks into the affected circuit board closely, sometimes with a microscope, and repairs the actual components that need repair/replacing. In my case, a couple capacitors went bad and needed replacement and a couple diodes were disconnected -- something I couldn't have remedied myself. His fees were perfectly reasonable; my keyboard isn't worth that much these days, but the repairs were still less than the current value of the keyboard. He also has a policy where you don't pay a thing if he determines the problem is un-fixable (Other shops charge $75 just to take a look and give you an estimate). I fully endorse this shop to repair your digital synthesizers/keyboards! read more

Edwin is an amazing repair tech. Super friendly and courteous. I had my Korg Triton Classic worked on a few years back and still working to this day. Recently, I brought Edwin 2 more Keyboards to work on and were done super super fast and they work great. I highly recommend Edwin for your keyboard repair. - Patrick P. read more

My personal experience with Edwin was simply great! I was having a hard time to find a reliable and dependable digital piano repairer in the Glendale/La Crescenta area. I needed to get my Axiom Pro 25 fixed asap. I called Perfect Circuit and the guy there told me to just buy a new one as it'll cost $70/hr and that I could sell my parts for $20. He said this over the phone. So I called Crescenta Valley and Edwin picked up and told me to swing by. I told him the issue and he said he could take a look. He moved to find the issue and had extra parts so offered to fix it right away. Along the way he found additional issues with the L Fuse and helped me with that. Edwin is extremely nice and super talented. I will to goto Edwin for all my digital instrument issues. read more

Edwin took his time on my piano and also used original parts from the dealer that really gives me a strong sense of security.

Yelp needs to have 10 stars for people who provide the kind of service that Edwin does at his music shop. I went in with several issues with my electric drum kit that needed some attention or possible repairs. While I was explaining the first couple problems he was listening and during conversation he had the unit taken apart troubleshooting, problem figured out right there in front of me while showing me and explaining why and how we can fix it. I mean really, who does that these days? Most other shops I've been to just write you up a ticket and tell you they'll order the part and swap it out when it gets there and check back in two to three weeks. Then the problem comes back in a year or so. Then came the next thing on my list of repairs. The "Brain" or drum module(TD-20). The LCD had gone completely blank and the input jacks for all the triggers were loose from the last guy who repaired it and failed to tighten things up properly. Not gonna mention any names but they won't be getting a positive review anytime soon. Anyway long story short, Edwin fixed the LCD on the module tightened things up and called me up with the good news. Cherry on top, all for a very reasonable cost. Thanks Edwin! read more

I give Edwin and Crescenta Music a 5 Star!!! When I took my digital piano over he met me right away and was very knowledgeable and considerate! My piano had fallen from my back seat and a few keys got locked from the inside. He had it ready for me the same day and turned out nothing was broken he put the keys back in their place and I was good to go! He gave me a great deal a price I wouldn't have be able to find anywhere in LA. Wish I was really grateful for considering my current financial situation.
