Juliana called me the first day he was back. She implemented a protocol that if he ever had a fever, they would give him Tylenol (with a doctor's note) and that a parent would have to pick him up right away. This past Friday, my son's teacher Ms. Didi noticed his fever right away (even though it was only 99.5) and the school notified me. I arrived to pick him up within about 20 minutes. As I was putting him in his car seat he had another febrile seizure and started to turn blue. I ran him back inside and Gabbi very calmly called 911. The paramedics arrived within minutes. Meanwhile several teachers came to help apply ice and comfort the both of us. Gabbi offered to come with us to the hospital and without my insisting we were fine, would have. Gabbi even texted us to check in with our family later that night. I cannot thank the staff at Goddard Ft. Mitchell enough for their compassion and help in such a difficult moment.

As for the 'anonymous' review below, I witnessed the so called 'argument' between mom and the staff person. The mom was totally out of line and the staff handled it well. Clearly a first time mom that has unrealistic expectations.

My son has been going to the KinderCare Edgewood facility for about six months and we have been so pleased. While they have some of the same teacher longevity issues you may run into at other facilities, I've felt that the quality of the employees and the facility is very high. The center director, Delainna, and assistant director, Katey, are fantastic. It is so nice to have a supportive group at school that feel like partners in the parenthood journey. My son has learned a lot with the KinderCare curriculum; they have weekly themed lessons and they incorporate play and learning. The facility has an indoor playground for the kids to work on their gross motor skills and work off their energy on bad weather days. They have great outdoor play facilities as well and they have a weekly water play day during the summer. The billing is also super easy - I have my credit card on auto-pay for the weekly billing and I appreciate that I don't have to think about it.

She was available to answer ALL and I mean ALL my MANY questions. (First time hiring a nanny) 2. She only presented me candidates that were a good fit. She was willing to screen an applicant I met on care.com to ensure she was truly qualified and reliable. 4. She knows a LOT about being and hiring a nanny. For a first time mom going back to work and scared out of her mind about leaving her baby with a nanny, her knowledge was SO helpful and comforting. 5. The rates are reasonable and most importantly flat. Some of the other places we looked at charge a crazy ridiculous fee and their use of a % of total salary made me feel as if they were only sending me candidates at the top of my scale because they wanted a bigger referral check.
