Pavilion Crossing Dental Care took me right in on a limited emergency visit that day. I need a possible root canal and crown. Dr. Storm was very compassionate, made me feel like a long time friend. Explained everything thoroughly. He then scheduled me for later in the day to do the work I needed performed. I appreciated his honesty and integrity. He saved the tooth and actually told me that a root canal was not needed once he got in and removed the damaged areas of the tooth. The staff is very friendly and take their time with you. I didn't feel like just another "number." I was treated with kindness, courtesy and professionalism. A rare find these days! I highly recommend their practice. I didn't feel that it was all about the money but was I needed and what was best for me. Much care was given to being sure the bite and fit was correct on the temporary crown. As they kept taking pictures and X-rays I asked over and over again if it was covered or was it extra. I was told I would only have to pay my deductible. However, today I received a bill for my deductible and over a hundred dollars more for the X-rays and photos that they decided they wanted and lied and said were covered. Oh, and don't forget, I never received a cleaning!!!!!!! Beware of Pavilion Crossing Dental Care, because they only care about robbing you of your money and then of your teeth! She loves every patient, will talk and listen to you and you feel you are in good hands. Most importantly Dr Pojtek is so ethical. If your tooth can be saved with a filling which she makes much less money, she will save your tooth. Most dentist offices want to put a crown on every tooth, not Dr Pojtek. Brittany ( Dr. Byars) assistant is as kind and gentle and also gets a 5-star rating. I needed a root canal and a crown- I told them I was a chicken and did not want to feel a whole lot of pain - (I already had 5 days of a toothache) Thank Goodness for Dr. Byars! (who gets 6 stars!) He listened, explained the exact procedure, and what needed to be done. Once I agreed, Dr. Byars went to work - it was painless. I was so surprised (and HAPPY) that I did not jump out of the chair once! Follow-up instructions were followed, and I didn't have any problems or pain after the numbing shots wore off. During the appointment, the doctor focused mainly on one tooth and recommended treatment costing approximately $2,762. I did not feel that much additional testing was done, and I was not provided with a complete treatment plan. The biggest problem was the communication afterward. I requested additional information about the proposed treatment, self-pay pricing, and my dental images. Although some X-rays were provided, several important questions remained unanswered. I sent multiple follow-up emails and called the office several times. I was repeatedly told that someone would get back to me but I still did not receive the requested information or clear answers. Based on my experience, the $49 promotion felt more like a way to get new patients through the door before presenting them with expensive treatment recommendations. Combined with the lack of clear follow-up and difficulty obtaining basic information, the entire experience left me very uncomfortable. I would not recommend visiting this office.

I was in some pain (5 out of 10) They said they could perform the work right away and sent in an attractive young lady who told me my portion would be $1415.10. I was thinking "I thought I had excellent insurance thru Delta, but maybe I was wrong" She kept pushing "pay the amount and you will be all set, your pain will be gone and the work will be complete" I felt like I was at a used car dealership, I'm in sales and recognized the sales techniques. Against my better judgement I had the work performed. The assistant Michael was very polite and caring, the dentist was nice, it was a tough extraction but she did it successfully. The next day, after the fog wore off I checked with Delta Dental Insurance and discovered MY INSURANCE WOULD COVER 80-90% OF THIS SERVICE.!!!! Also, the Delta Rep told me the maximum reasonable and customary allowance was around $770.00. THEY CHARGED ME DOUBLE.!!!! (They did give me a small discount $141.00) which I appreciated. How can a business do this to a customer???? How can they sleep at night treating people this way????? My primary dentist I go to in Riverview is SO awesome and ethical. She charges the required amount and does not over-sell you on anything. Maybe I got spoiled. Please beware. INVISALIGN CLIENTS BEWARE!…read more I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Riverview Dental Boutique, particularly with the customer service, communication, lack of follow-through, and the handling of my Invisalign treatment. What should have been a straightforward Invisalign process has turned into an unnecessarily long and frustrating experience because of repeated delays, poor communication, and what I feel has been a significant lack of attentiveness from the dentist. This all resulting from multiple missed communications with Invisalign and poor management of the office. Throughout my treatment, there have been excessive gaps between sets of Invisalign trays because I have repeatedly had to wait for the dentist or office to respond, review my case, submit information, or move the process forward. When you are paying a significant amount of money for Invisalign(I paid $3100 out of pocket and my insurance also covered a large portion), there is a reasonable expectation that your treatment will be monitored and handled in a timely manner. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience. The most recent situation is particularly frustrating. I went into the office for my final visit, had my buttons removed and final scan of my teeth completed on September 1. I was under the impression that the scan would be submitted promptly so my final set of maintenance Invisalign trays could be ordered. I was told there was approximately a three-week turnaround time. Today, I called the clinic since it has been 28 days since my appointment, only to be hung up the first time calling, then speaking to someone to take a message, that historically doesn't get returned. The clinic being 5 minutes from my home, I decided to stop in to see if they had my trays yet. There was confusion between the dental assistant and the manager as to whether the trays were in clinic or not. The office manager informed me despite my scan being completed on September 1, the Invisalign order was apparently not actually placed until September 24. That is more than three weeks after the scan was performed just to place the order. Now I am once again left waiting even longer for trays because of a delay that was completely outside of my control and never communicated. This is not an isolated incident. There have been multiple periods throughout my treatment where I have experienced excessive waiting between trays because of delays in responses and follow-up from the dentist. These delays have significantly prolonged a treatment process that I have already paid for. When my initial set of trays were done and revision trays needed to be started, Invisalign contacted the dentist for further instruction on the manufacturing of the trays. That email went unread, leaving me in the last set of trays and waiting for the revisions for 10 weeks! I only found out as I showed up to my revision appointment on April 7th and learned I had taken off of work for no reason because they didn't call me to inform me that the trays were not in. Then to learn from the manager that was previously over the clinic and is no longer there, that the dentist overlooked an email from Invisalign for further instructions. I then was seen for the revised trays on May 5th. I was in the same set of trays for 10 weeks!!!! Communication with the office has also been extremely disappointing. Phone calls are frequently not returned, and it has often felt like I have had to repeatedly follow up just to get basic information about my own treatment. As a patient, I should not have to continuously chase an office for updates, especially regarding treatment that costs thousands of dollars. The turnover in management and staff has made matters even more frustrating. During the initial issue with my Invisalign treatment, the former manager, Lawrence, acknowledged the problems and the delays I had experienced. He gave me a $20 visa gift card and asked if there was anything else he could do to make it right. I had already paid $2500 for the treatment and knew at the end I would have to come out of pocked another $600 for the night trays. So of course I inquired if they could take anything off of that. He said that he would give them to me for the lab cost, which is what they pay for the trays. He would make a note in my chart. That would have been 2 sets of night trays from Invisalign. At my last appointment they tried to send the scan out to an off brand company for 1 set of trays for $300. There was no discount as Invisalign provides 2 sets for $600. I ended up having to come out of pocket $600 anyway. The new manager tried to tell me that their cost was $600 for the 2 sets. Lawrence specifically asked if I could take the negative review off of Google. That agreement was made in connection with me removing the previously posted negative Google review because I was assured the situation would be addressed. Despite expanding, adding another office, and relocating to Brandon, Dr. Arnold, Teri, and the rest of the staff remained exactly what made them special from the beginning: grounded, professional, caring, and genuinely invested in my dental health. They always worked with me as partners to achieve the best possible outcomes. In many ways, they felt more like friends than healthcare providers. One thing that always impressed me about Dr. Arnold is his honesty. He doesn't sugarcoat anything--you get a straightforward assessment of your condition and the available options. At the same time, he provides thoughtful, well-developed treatment plans and clearly explains each option so you can make informed decisions. His directness is balanced by compassion, empathy, and a complete absence of judgment. Teri and the office staff are absolute experts when it comes to insurance and billing. Due to service connected injuries, I have have a highly complicated set of bite guards. The VA who had all previous bite guards messed them up ALL the time. Not these guys. Also the front office staff is amazing when dealing with the VA payment and authorization system. That place causes more patient injury then help. But Oakfield Dental deals with them and only involves me when I need to become Karen on the VA. Which is the only way to make the VA pay up or authorize something.
