No. Our driveway was poured incorrectly, so it dusts. The 'fix' didn't do anything. The cement siding they used has a class action lawsuit pending. And now, only seven years in a brand new house, all of our plumbing must be replaced upstairs. It's leaking into the living room and office below. The ceiling must now be replaced. Crescent if one of the few builders in Chas. Sc. that I rebate up to 1% of the sales price to my buyers. Appreciate they allow me to take gift off the price, makes it easier for me and clients see their rebate at contract. Interest rates as low as can be but prices are going up. DO NOT PURCHASE A CRESCENT HOME! DON'T WALK AWAY...RUN!!! I wish I had listened to my gut before closing. The paint job in our house was atrocious! The paint around our bath tub was so bad that they came in and put tile to hide it, but they used the wrong color grout and didn't even fix the paint around the tile! Now, they refuse to fix it saying that it was an agreement that the project manager made with me, and so there's nothing they can do about it because he no longer works for Crescent. They made so many promises about finishing the list of things that needed to be completed after closing, but only a few were completed, so I then had to wait for my 1 year (which was the beginning of December) to get my list completed. As of today, nothing has been completed and no one has even come by to even look at the items that I requested to be fixed. A couple of weeks ago, someone came and pulled siding off of our house to repaint, I guess??, but they never even asked what needed to be done before they did this nor did they notify us that they were coming. They also left all of the debris in our yard. I could give many more examples of their ridiculousness. Practically our entire street (new construction) has a major issue with Crescent. To say that I'm unhappy with Crescent is an understatement. Once again...RUN DON'T WALK AWAY! read more

BUYER BEWARE! Honestly want to let people know about this company. Wish I had done more research before agreeing to build with them. Biggest issue (there were a TON). This builder doesn't care about timelines. We contracted with Crescent and were told from the very beginning about a timeline and our contract said we were supposed to be in the house 7 months later. Sales person told us they build time in and they usually complete homes in 5-6 months. They slowed our build to align with other builds in the neighborhood so they could save money which delayed us a few months - we found this out by calling the town and checking when inspections were scheduled. Builder would tell us something was scheduled on a future date, but the town told us they had already inspected and it passed. They lied to us about why things were delayed, let our house sit for weeks with nothing being done to it, and didn't communicate anytime our timeline was pushed back. We would have to check in with them to ask how things looked for them to finally tell us "oh yeah, you're delayed." Our house looks good, now that it's finally done, but working with this company is a complete nightmare. There are so many other builders that people I know have worked with and they are so much easier to work with and actually care about their customers. My recommendation? Go with a different builder. read more

Stay away. Horribly run company from the CEO, to the PM on the ground building the house. If they get it wrong, don't worry, it's only your house and they can gladly fix something they messed up for a charge. CEO does not value the customer's satisfaction, building a quality home, or paying for blatant errors throughout their purchase and build process. If they even get around to building the house. No reason I wrote a contract in April and still don't have a house within 30 days of being finished. They will change items that effect how your finished house looks with no notification to you even though you paid to "upgrade" the layout of the house. We dropped 40K in upgrades just to have an issue with nearly every single thing they did. read more

***Everything first reviewer said is so true.... Owner never even contacted me after 5 attempts... I just built with Crescent Homes and it was terrible. This is an honest review to let people know the truth. Join the Facebook Pages for the neighborhood you are building in and ask the truth about the homes there. Crescent can be a good home builder, but only depends on the neighborhood and which contractors they have hired at the time.... They also do not care about anything once you move into your home. I have several walls that are very crooked and wavy. Not just bowed in, but wavy from top to bottom. Trimming is terrible, areas are dented in and blobs of touch up putty. Seams where they come together are very visible. My level 4 hardwood floors were scratched up and several dents. Rather than replacing the board they filled in and colored a huge chunk that was missing. They finally replaced several other boards due to scratches spanning 5-6 boards, but they do match my old ones.... I tried to contact the owner several times (given the number and email by the sales team here) and he has not once responded back. Paint job is terrible, and I paid for the upgraded paint...They refuse to come back up and fix it all, even though there is noticeable areas where the paint colors do not match (not sure how that happens as paint is a standard color). I am so disappointed in this home builder. I have seen some of the other homes in my neighborhood (with new contractors) and they are so much nicer than mine. Currently we have 4 homes including mine that are looking into what action we can take to try and get our issues fixed. Good luck. On numerous occasions they have cut the line to my internet and it is impossible to contact anyone with Crescent Homes to take responsibility. Quality is way below the average and definitely not their main goal. Crescent do not deserve even 1 star. If you are looking for a builder that has Customer Satisfaction as their main Core Value to build your dream home, stay far away from this builder, because you will not get that with them, unless you are very luck and fortunate person. Read their reviews at Google and you will have a very good idea of what to expect from this builder. If you still want to build your dream home with them, try to have all their promises in writing before you sign the contract or the closing of your home. As said here by other homeowners, once you close it, the house is yours and they don't care anymore about you. At this point, they already got the money and this is the only think that they are looking for, not your satisfaction as a new homeowner. When we signed the contract in July/16, they said our house would be ready by January or February/17 at latest (of course this was not written in the contract) and we closed end of April/17. The "funny" part of this is that they were building other houses first on the same street as mine that were not even sold yet and even started our. Our house was always behind the one that still today is not sold and when I questioned them about how they set the priorities to build the houses, their responses were "Don't worry, we are on schedule and your house will be on time" Evidently I was not the only one with this problem in the neighborhood (White Gables). Even today, if you walk through the neighborhood, you will see there lots with "SOLD" sign with zero construction movement and other lots with sign "AVAILABLE" being built. I definitely DO NOT understood how they set the priorities to build the homes. When we finally had our pre-closing walk through with the builder few days before the date scheduled for closing, we expected to see your house ready and everything working, right? That's is Wrong...do not expect this with Crescent. Our home was not ready and even the appliances were not installed when we had this pre-closing meeting. The excuse was that the Project Manager that worked in the whole process had been fired in that week. Conclusion, we had to delay our closing by one more week, and with no option other than close and have a home to live with my family, as we pushed as much as I could on our rental house that we were living while, we closed even with the house not been completely finished, but with the promise that everything will be done within the first year, when they come back to do some touch up. The last thing that really pissed me off just happened this week after the storm Irma. Other thing that I was never happy with their job is the sod that they put on my yard, specially on the backyard. After watering my yard (back and front) almost every day, with no good result, the weekend before the big storm Irma, I decided to put some fertilizer to see if, after plenty of water, I could see a better result as far as having a nice sod on my yard. I spend few hours of hard work and a little bit of money expecting a good result and when I came home from work in the first day after the storm, I found my front yard fully covered by debris/sand from the street that Crescent throughout on my front yard when they were cleaning the street (see the pictures). To me this is VANDALISM from this builder. They do not only do a terrible job with the house, but also destroy what we try to fix. This is a complete lack of respect with their buyers. I tried to get in contact with them, but as it was said before, they are not very responsive after you close on your house, even their top management do not send any response on my report. read more

I visited Crescent's new development (Twin Peaks) located at John's Island, SC a couple weeks ago and really liked what I heard and saw, at least initially. My wife and i have been thinking about relocating to the Charleston area frm Southern California for more affordable housing and really fell in love with the area. We even got an estimate as to what it would cost to build our dream home... that is until two days later when we returned to Twin Peaks for another visit only to find out that the builder had decided to increase the price of the house we wanted to build by $5000. We were surprised by the price increase naturally and asked the builder to waive the increase which he refused. This refusal to honor the earlier price definitely sheds some doubt concerning the builders buisness ethicsand integrity. We are sadly disappointed. read more

You are sold a pack of lies to get you to sign the contract and then they could care less about the quality or the finished product. This company gives the appearance of a company that is truly invested in the customer and will tell you that they are particular when hiring out the crews who build the houses. They really try to give you the feeling that they are not the stereotypical home builder, but please do not be deceived. I have been extremely disappointed in the relations between myself and this company and the previous review hits it on the head when it says that this company is horrible from the CEO down. This man could care less about the quality and craftsmanship of his homes. The guys that he has on the ground do not care about quality or craftsmanship either and are more than willing to explain away or accept any substandard work. I had a leak in my roof that did not show up until after my one year was up and it was because of a construction issue. This leak ruined drywall in the upstairs bedroom and living room ceiling and Crescent decided that they were meeting me halfway with replacing the vent pipe boot. Oh and it still leaks! I can see every stud on the walls because of poor sanding from the joint compound. When asked to fix it, they hired a guy to just pretty much plaster the wall and they scheduled no one to repaint it. The trim work and painting is an abomination in my house. Please do not buy a home from this company! Even the warranty guy with Crescent told me that the CEO is pushing the time from groundbreaking to closing from 16 weeks to 9 weeks! You cannot tell me that these homes are quality! read more

Be very careful and review all drawings for EVERY detail you sign no matter how many times you have to sign it. I didn't catch the lies and cheating until it was to late, the pre dry wall walk through. I bought my home in the second phase of Indigo Palms (3rd phase being built-STAY AWAY). I bought a Lincoln floor plan and had the distinction of being the last home built in the subdivision. The built Lincoln they showed me and the drawings all seemed to be fine and my family and I fell in love with the house and the sales person seemed honest. I understand that since I was the last home I am most likely unique, but Crescent customer service and brush off to me for their mistakes- can be done to anyone. My first clue should have come to me at the preconstruction meeting- they told me they couldn't do the trey ceilings in the Master because the windows were to tall- this was one of the things that attracted me because the offered free trey ceilings in the master, these were not custom or special windows but the ones the offered. I reluctantly because we had a long relationship ahead and knew I would probably require some help as well accepted a double crown molding feature, the value is less then a trey ceiling. The next great customer service was when I asked to remove the HDMI drop worth $500 and they told me that I will have to pay a $500 change notice to remove a feature that is a tube behind the sheetrock. The house has even been started yet. I didn't get $500 for their trey ceiling mistake. I now know the type of people I was dealing with, but didn't think to what extent. Its been a few months, I ignore their lame attempts of asking me every few weeks of how excited I was after they did any mundane step in the build process. Now the pre sheetrock meeting. The day before I go t the house to look at it and notice that there is an extra window in the living room, right were we want to put the TV and one missing in the master bedroom. I go back and look at the drawings at home and was right, I shoot the sales and construction folks an email letting hem know wit the attachment showing the ORIGINAL drawings (I had signed several small cable location change drawings since the beginning and dint see the major drawing changes) they say they will talk to me at the preconstruction meeting. Prior to the meeting I took a picture of the other Lincolns in my neighborhood, all are different then mine, because I knew they would rather question me then admit their ignorance and stupidity. As soon as the contractor told me no that no those windows are correct I pulled out the camera and showed him the other Lincolns, he told me oh this is the first Lincoln he built in the neighborhood-HES BRAND NEW. After a lot of emails they reluctantly gave me some extra installation in the wall between the Master and Living room ( it sucks as well, doesn't help buffer sound at all)- long story short here are all of the mistakes that they all admit to in separate meetings and phone calls (but not in front of each other) they blame each other for the mistakes, don't admit too the mistakes in any written form, or just ignore. -Trey ceiling, Missing master bedroom window, extra living room window, missing sink in bathroom 2, tree on the fenced area of the property line (the contractor said it wasn't)- which should equal almost $3000 in change notices only to me. This is my second built home, my first was with Centex- after 2 years with Centex I had no problems and only a handful of nail pops in the entire 1800 sq foot home. This Crescent home is less then a year old and has almost 50 nail pops in the 3021 sq foot home, and has a lot of sheetrock issues, which these idiots will correct. Buy any other company. I bought a new home at Twin Lakes on Johns Island,the first phase consists of 38 homes which are now completed,they put a stop to the second phase for whatever reason.The pool that we were promised this summer may not happen until 2018,so much for the family's who bought here for that amenity,the nature trail is a joke!We are still left with construction trash,cracked sidewalks that are dangerous to walk on at night,no lighting at the entrance of the development,commercial n ground areas with no grass just weeds growing,the so called pond in nothing but a retention basin and is an eye sore,needs some plants to make it more appealing.All the homes have an HOA fee of $50.00 a month we are getting nothing but common ground grass cutting which isn't much!We at Twin Lakes are getting a petition together and we REFUSE to pay any more HOA fees until we see improvements in this development,come back and give us what you promised us we would have!!! If I could give a lower rating I would. I had my home built two years ago by Crescent in River Birch Community in Summerville and it has been a very disappointing experience. During the building process, all my framing was left in standing water for four weeks, needless to say there was mold covering my structural beams. Even to this day, the wood is stained with mold and I'm sure I will have issues when I go to sell the home. Last year, my shower drain was leaking. Builder had to remove shower to fix leak, fortunately it was covered under my one year warranty. Less then one year later, same leak and the builder is ignoring the fact that the repair was not done correctly. I call the 2/10 warranty and they say that plumbing is covered but not a leak from the shower?? The air conditioning is poor, they used a single undersize AC for a 3000 ft, two story home. So the front of the house is always 3 to 5 degrees warmer than the rear. I could go on and on, but you get the point. Avoid this builder at all costs. Jason Pratt read more

Crescent Homes put me in contact with one of their contractors, Daniel, who was extremely nice and was able to assist me in my siding. I would give him 5 stars, but I still have to give Crescent no more than 3 stars. Although they turned me on to this guy, they never followed up and after being told that the office would contact me, she never did. The original guy must have told me 10 times during our conversation that what they are doing is a courtesy thing and not standard. I guess I realize that, but I could have joined the class-action suit on the siding which meant they would HAVE to go back in their records and find the receipts because they don't provide them when you purchase the house, so I'm starting to think that is why they covered the siding part. I still ended up having to paint the whole house because of this which was costly and if the siding was decent in the first place, that's a cost that I would not have incurred. I am sure this did not cost them anything and that the contractor did it as a courtesy. I am giving them 3 stars for referring me, but it took awhile and no contact since, so I think 3 stars is generous. I would still be cautious and if buying one of their homes, I would still get an independent inspection and certainly check out their landscaping because they are well known for getting the cheapest possible without any kind of warranty after you move in. read more

Ugh. Such a terrible home buying experience. The sales associates, namely Misty Elles, blatantly lied, or at least freely distributed misinformation during the buying process. By the time we found out the truth, it was too late. They refuse to correct mistakes or be honorable in their dealings. They treat customers with reasonable issues with hostility and defensiveness. It's heartbreaking to have put every saved dollar, my family's only assets, into a home that is not at all what it was promised to be. The pool was promised (by Misty Elles) to me and all other buyers to be complete by year end 2017. Now it will not even start until 2019 at the earliest. The wooded lot we paid extra for has 0 trees on it, and the company refuses to address it. They did not finish our neighborhood, refuse to improve the shoddy, sparse landscaping, and they are generally unapproachable and rude in the sales and admin office. Construction guys all great, easy, humble, seemingly honest. If I knew what I know now, I never would've put my money and heart into this home. I'll never deal with them again. read more

I rarely post comments but felt it was important to put information out on Crescent homes and the building they are doing in FOX LAKE, Moncks Corner. I contracted for a home and put 11,000 dollars into the process contingent on the sale of my home. During that time I found out about the issues the community was suffering related to the dump in Moncks Corner. My concern was not as much about the smell that was causing issues but the fact that Crescent homes realtors and as a business did not disclose the issues and even had a clause put into their contract to eliminate your ability to do anything about environmental issues. In addition homes in the area where sinking and had foundational issues according to some of those living there. My home was not yet sold and nothing was started on my new home (I was told they would not move on it until the contingency clause was met). I cancelled the contract. Despite no loss to them financially, they maintained all of the money and have refused to negotiate even a partial refund. This is not a company you want to build with. There are so many reputable builders in Charleston and I would not recommend one who is this unethical. read more

As others have said, run as fast as you possibly can from crescent homes. We purchased a spec house less than a year ago because we needed to relocate in a hurry. It looks great from the outside and we thought it was great on the inside until we moved in and started noticing all that was wrong. The drywall work is an abomination, every wall has screw pops, the seams are showing and the walls were patched and not repainted. We are still finding random drywall mud spots that were not painted. When the warranty people came they said the houses are made cheaply and the best they can do is try to fix it. They will fix the nail pops but not repaint. They promised to grade our property when the two houses adjacent to us were built and guess what? Our back yard fills with water and the houses adjacent to us are landscaped and the new residents moved in. The pm for our neighborhood has promised us 3 times that he is going to fix it (he is actually the 3rd pm in a yr to promise this will be done) and still nothing! There is sooooo much more but I think I've made my point. If you do business with them make sure you get everything in writing! read more

So far just the worst management of construction ever in Foxbank Plantation. No one and I mean no one is supervising construction because there is too much for them tcover. Original building super quits....Horrifying contractors ie: electrical wiring sloppy and cut up, wrong installation of bathroom items tub 3 times, drywall looks like it was put up by a band of fifth graders, Truss altered and not repaired correctly even after an engineer was hired at owner's expense to show how it needed to be done...and now they sheet rocked over it so it can't be inspected without being torn down~!!!. In addition, don't ever ask for an addition to something after your 14 days are up.....there is no mercy... there is price gouging to the max.....The work site is absolutely filthy with building material, food, drinks, cigarette butts...just gross. I am so regretful I ever invested money into this builder. Foxbank is beautiful.....but if you build there, go with a more reputable company or in the alternative, stand over them and supervise it yourself. read more
