I liked the fact that I could reach someone when I called and they were able to answer my questions. I signed my daughter up on their website and selected the class schedule. I had pay a deposit and the rest was due at the first lesson. Well something came up and at the last minute I needed to change the date. I called them and it was no problem. The morning of class we arrived and they were well organized and well prepared. They even had coffee and pastries. Everything was on schedule. Parents are required to attend the first hour and then it's the teenagers for the next two weekends. My daughter attended and passed all of her tests. Finally she was ready to hit the road with one of their instructors. She had to complete 8 hours and take a test before getting her license. They prepared her for everything and now she has her license. I definitely recommend Drive Dat Academy. They are a no nonsense company that takes driving seriously. The don't cut corners and I feel that they prepared my daughter.

He was very frank with me when answering my questions which I really appreciated. It is a dated building, but they seem to take care of it. My daughter did her driving in a very nice and well kept up car. I really appreciated that. I looked at some other schools and I looked at how they did things. I felt most comfortable with this place. They called her very soon after she finished her 36 hours, and she now has her permit. They had her paperwork in a sealed envelope and ready for us to pick up just days after she finished her driving. I saw a lot of people give this place a bad review. I do not agree with any of them. I would sign her up with the school all over again if we had to do it again.

So my oldest is 17. Poor baby didn't get her drivers licence till recently. And to make matters…read moreworst, it happened during the covid lockdowns. This business was not spared the headaches. If you read the reviews, its pretty accurate. Its a simple business. They teach kids about the laws and show videos and then do the driving part of the class with the grand finale being that they give the stale driving test. I would say the older owner is a gruff man but he is smart and responds well to patience. He reminded me of my Dad in many ways so I know he knows what he is doing even though he didn't seem to write any notes down. Old school. He seemed to remember all the students names (like the good teachers can do) and was able to multitask in his own special way. The complications came with the lockdown. His classroom size became limited and when the driving portion final came, instead of 3 students and the driving teacher, it was just one kid. As you can imagine that extended what would of been a 2 week course precovid into a 3 month ordeal. They did the best they could within the guidelines. Mask wearing is enforced. They taught well and were respectful to myself and my daughter. No worries there. They were hard to contact though but I think that was related to the lockdown. That changed all the rules for everyone. I certainly recommend this school! But dont leave it soley up to them to teach your child to drive. Works best if you practice driving with your kids too before and during the classes so that they have a better chance of success. And being safe behind the wheel with all the dummies out there.
