I had pay a deposit and the rest was due at the first lesson. Well something came up and at the last minute I needed to change the date. I called them and it was no problem. The morning of class we arrived and they were well organized and well prepared. They even had coffee and pastries. Everything was on schedule. Parents are required to attend the first hour and then it's the teenagers for the next two weekends. My daughter attended and passed all of her tests. Finally she was ready to hit the road with one of their instructors. She had to complete 8 hours and take a test before getting her license. They prepared her for everything and now she has her license. I definitely recommend Drive Dat Academy. They are a no nonsense company that takes driving seriously. The don't cut corners and I feel that they prepared my daughter.

The coaches made me feel safe, they helped me get out of my head, they kept us hydrated and checked on us physically and mentally. (The summer course wasn't impossible buuuuuut I do wish I had done it in cooler weather but that's not their fault, it's hot in the south). I even impressed myself with my abilities by the end of the weekend. The coaches (Angel, Mat and Joe) all kept us laughing through the heat and fear but also pushed us and gave us very non judgmental and valid feedback/adjustments. They are so good at telling you what will make you perform better and ALSO showing you how to do it until you do get it. They WANT you to pass and it shows. The environment they created makes me now eager to learn more and considering my options at future training. Who knew a state required class at the right place with the right people could make me totally change my perspective on the culture too? 15/10 recommend. I even had my son certified with them (he's 19) and the staff were excellent mentors for him as well. plus the whole track area is really cool and it makes us wanna rush back to do the go carting. Im also blown away that they took someone like me who won't even ride a bicycle with no hands and made me able to ride a 400cc motorcycle! I went for my second time the other day, and again had a fantastic experience. One thing that particularly stood out was the amount of track time I got for the low cost. When I tell you Jadian gave me A1 service with a great personality. She gave me helpful information to help study for the cdl test general knowledge, study testing apps. What I love the most she was ok that I enroll at another school but still helped me in anyway possible. With the information she gave me I passed my cdl permit test on the first round. Unitech Training Academy has to be one of the WORST places to work or attend (don't send yourself or your child to that school). Why here's a few reasons, 1 they haven't had a Pharmacy tech teacher since April and students didn't have books for 3 weeks but they still charged them $15,895.00 for their program and dropped students(while still charging) for not showing up to a class that didn't have an instructor, mind you I was always told to never tell a prospect that the program didn't have an instructor but I definitely still had to fill the class. The EKG/Phlebotomy teacher wasn't even Certified and preyed on the younger students. Mind you that class also cost $15,895.00. I would often voice my concerns about this because it was my job to get the students to enroll and it was also my job to make $15,895.00 make sense (which it doesn't but I did a great job making it). When I voiced it they would gaslight me and add that my job is to enroll nothing else. Well since I felt bad about convincing these individuals to join a school with VERY outdated equipment (no hospital uses the machines they teach with), no teacher and very poor leadership (NO ONE knows who the director is because she stays locked in her office and she doesn't show any concern about them at all) I would only do the bare minimum. I was then written up and was told that I had to the 12th of September to set 30 appointments a week (mind you I don't even get 30 leads a week) or I would be terminated. I started mentally preparing myself to be fired because in 2 years I was the 4th admissions rep so I knew my time was coming. Well that time came today not only was I TERMINATED for not meeting the requirements by the 4th and not the 12th. They terminated me with no paperwork. When I asked the Director for the paperwork, as well as the paperwork from my 2 previous write ups that they never gave me no matter how many times I requested it, I was told she had to check and see if she could give me what I am asking for. I'm not upset at all that I was let go because I have been preparing myself to be removed because I was beginning to question character and integrity and God removed me from where I truly didn't want to be. But the manner in which they unprofessionally went about the matter is what led me to this post. Now that I can freely speak don't waste your time or money at that school! You will have to use Pell grant, subsidize and unsubsidized loans to pay for it and you will get NO REFUND check... save your coins and go to Delgado or Nunez or a free program
