This daycare is so attentive. They are clean! Shoes off at the door! I love that! They actually love the children and it shows. There's always something for kids and parents to interact. There are curriculums even for the infants so they're always learning. Themed days that I always look forward to. I can call or show up as much as I'd like without feeling like a bother. They have a nice little cozy breastfeeding room for me to use when I come. Playgrounds for the teeny tots on up to the 4 year olds. Although, we don't have access to them all the time (I'd like to), there are cameras everywhere so if you need to see something you can. The app they use makes communication easy throughout the day. When they have the time, I look forward to the random pictures I sometimes get of my little one. I also love how diverse it is here! I was so hesitant and nervous about sending my baby to daycare because of all the horror stories we hear, and obviously nobody loves your baby like you do BUT carousel is a close second. I'd choose them over and over again.

OK Yelp, you've done me right by changing the name from Nursey, which it is not, to Preschool,…read morewhich is accurate. Now my turn to do right back atcha with a review. I went with five stars for this place because it really is "as good as it gets," realistically, for a preschool in Chalmette. I'm sure there are fancier preschools in fancier neighborhoods that have fancier field trips and fancier facilities. Gethsemane is not fancy or even state-of-the art. But Gethsemane is loving and welcoming and safe and fun. And I'm not a Lutheran, and I can say from personal experience, they welcome everyone, regardless. There are not many minority children here, but those who do attend are no different in the treatment they receive from peers and teachers than those with white skin. Please don't let the fact that your race or religion may not be well represented by the student population stop you for considering this school for your little ones. Gethsemane starts accepting children at age two. Two year olds attend twice a week from 9-12. Three year olds attend three days per week, 9-12. And four year olds go five days a week, 9-12. While I didn't send my kids there when they were two because I had my mom to help, my son started in pre-K 3. The tuition was $110 per month. For four year olds, it is $135 per month. There was no "must be potty trained" requirement, althougth the kids in pre-K 4 had all mastered it. The teachers really celebrate the individual strengths of the kids and work on their weaknesses. I know this because my kids are night and day in their skills, and the pre-K 4 teacher, Ms. Mary, has always noticed the unique way in which each was smart, while helping with their shortcomings. I would recommend Gethsemane to my closest friends and family, so it makes sense to recommend them to y'all too. So now you know.
