The comforting small town cozy feel is worth the stop alone. Let alone the lovely food! We had the red beans and rice, shrimp and grits and crab cakes. They had a fairly large menu, but it'd be hard to stray from those three things because of how tasty they were. You order at the counter and they bring your food out to you, it was a two person show and I felt they ran it wonderfully. We will be back and recommend you stop! Do bring a sweater though, it's chilly inside. read more

Great food! The temperature is a little cold for me, but I still like to eat there. The fried shrimp salad is pretty tasty. Service is ok, they take your order at the counter and you pick it up. Drinks are serve yourself, but the food gets served up fairly quick. Well worth it. read more

I cannot say enough about this amazing little gem! I am so thankful we found this place on our way home from vacation. Without a doubt, the best shrimp and grits I have ever had! My daughter said the same about her gumbo. And the jalapeño cornbread was awesome as well. Not only was the food terrific and very reasonably priced, but the staff were amazing and so very helpful. This is one of my favorite restaurants! We make sure to stop here any time we are in the area. Fried snapper fingers are fried to perfection. The shrimp and grits are absolutely amazing! Great food! If you're looking for some authentic New Orleans cuisine, look no further. The items on the menu are fantastic and the portions are very generous. We've especially enjoyed the shrimp and smoked Gouda grits and the fried shrimp with Mardi Gras sauce is phenomenal! The seared tuna steak is also delicious as well as their fresh, huge salads. We have visited this establishment numerous times. Usually it is really, really good. Today and the two times before the grilled/blackened snapper was extremely overcooked! Very disappointing! I had the seared tuna and was asked how I wanted it cooked. I asked for medium and it was also overcooked! The sides (Gouda grits, fried okra, red beans and rice) were excellent! Wish I had ordered the shrimp and grits because, so far, it has always been outstanding. We noticed a different cook so that may be the problem. read more

My kids and I stopped in on our way down to the beach and were pleasantly surprised. Everything was amazing, from the food to the service. Before going in my son said he hoped they had a good "ambiance" because it adds to his experience and after leaving he said he was very happy we ate there. I'm not a gumbo person but my daughter wanted soup so we got the gumbo and oh my it was delicious. I couldn't stop eating it. The burger was also amazing, tasted exactly like a Fudruckers burger in the best way (miss that place). 10/10 would eat there again read more

This was SO good. We saw it on our way down and knew we wanted to stop on our way home. We were so not disappointed. Fantastic shrimp and grits, nice size shrimp with plenty to have. The cornbread had the right amount of corn and jalepeno mixed right in. My husband had a burger and fries. The fries were great too. The food was awesome! We ordered the shrimp basket, Mardi Gras shrimp, and side salad with 2 teas. I got 10 jumbo shrimp on the basket with home cut fresh fries. The side salad was huge. All I can say is YES! The burgers are awesome, and the shrimp and grits are excellent. Staff is awesome and very accommodating even with a bunch of children. It's a regular stop after kayak trips. read more
