I went for one of the savoury ones, the chicken, ham and pineapple one, as pineapple is one of my favourite things. However, I found the crepe to be disappointing. The crepe base tasted very bland and rubbery, the chicken was dry and I would swear the pineapple came out of a can.... While I can't say it was totally horrible, it's a level of cooking I expect from a friend and not a professional. Especially since I've heard people say these are some of the best in London, I definitely think those people have to try what good crepes taste like because they are missing out. While the location of this place makes it a very good option to sit outside and enjoy the sun, food wise I would not really recommend it.

This stand is in the Inverness Street market, extremely conveniently located right off the Camden Town underground station. The menu is actually fairly extensive for a stand like like this. 20-25 different crepes in all, half sweet and half savory gluten-free galettes(though I believe you can also have these on a flour-based crepe as well). The menu also has beverages, like coffee, fresh juice, and more. The staff are extremely friendly and will happily help you find the perfect crepe to suit your mood. The preparation can also be quite dramatic and fun to watch, which seemed to be a big hit with kids. I wound up with the Africanism, which consisted of your choice of chocolate(white, milk, or dark) combined with coconut and rhum. The crisp edges were perfectly matched with the rich white chocolate. The crunch of the coconut and the slight hint of rhum really added a lot of depth to the flavor of the crepe. I walked away with it piping hot and satiating my sweet tooth and desire for a quick treat. We were looking for a place for brunch and saw this tiny restaurant. It is small but we were able to use the one large table for our group of eight. As one could guess, they specialize in the Bretagne style of crepes (contain some buckwheat flour). Everyone ordered savory crepes (I was foolishly thinking about a dessert crepe afterwards. Big mistake. All the savory crepes we ordered (variations of different cheeses, ham, bacon, potatoes, and other great ingredients) were exceptional but there was no way I could eat more. I cannot say enough about how delicious they were. I had one with bacon strips (smoky and delicious), with Gruyère, and a sunny side up egg on top. It was my way of finding an American bacon and egg breakfast here. I was not disappointed (but may be back home now). I will be back to try the sweet crepes next.
