I settled on this place to send my mom for a period of focused care after an accident. I chose it…read moreon the strength of the vibe I got from staff, which seemed upbeat and energetic, and the large rehab gym. What I couldn't have known at the time was just how under-staffed they are, how difficult it was to get basic requests appropriately accommodated (like showers and meds), and how cheap and poorly maintained the basic ammentites were. First, individual staff are largely well-meaning and friendly. The Activities Coordinator was especially charming and engaged. The head chef was also personable, and my mom was surprised by how good the meals were. Her occupational therapist was also skilled and competant. However, staff are stretched thin and care is sporadic. For instance, my mom was scheduled a shower sometime between 2pm and 8pm. They happened to come at a bad time for her within that window so she asked if they could do it tomorrow. No problem. The same window was given, yet the next day no one arrived. She waited again all day the next day until finally asking whether or not the shower would happen. They had no idea she hadn't been given one, and it was put off for yet another day. An annoyance for my mom who can speak up for herself, but for a patient with dementia, cognitive disabilities, or even shyness etc. a critical error. The first night she discovered her bed didn't work properly. It took three days to get a new one. The room had a light switch she couldn't reach from bed, with no other way to control illumination. My dad had to rig up a chain and pulley system for her just to flick off the light after bedtime reading. The room was stuffed with chairs, seemingly as an ad hoc storage place. Decoration consisted of a dusty fake plant and one of those gel, cone-shaped air fresheners I used to think were alright in my dorm bathroom. Her wheelchair didn't have a pad, but they promised to "find her one." They did come up with a piece of foam with no cover, that we had to use her pillowcase on. She never did get a real wheelchair pad. Meds were sometimes given late, and on occasion they weren't offered at all, she needed to ask for them. Again, an inconvenience for my able-minded mother but speaks to system failures that could endanger other patients. So it went until she was released, gratefully. Individual staff could nice but as a system it's shot-through with failures from the quality of ammentites, to equipment and basic services like meds and showers. There's some REAL sketchy elder-care places out there and this isn't one of them. Still, it wouldn't be hard to find something better, especially if your loved one has higher needs.

I was sent to this place after my medical condition stabilized. The CNAs were wonderful. The OT and…read morePT were fantastic. Most of the nurses were wonderful, there was one who was pretty crass. My main reason for the low rating is the doctor. All this man wanted to do was run tests and pop pills in my mouth. I was in the facility for three weeks and saw him once. I needed him to sign a paper for my employer, and by the time I was discharged, he still had not signed it. I got it 1.5 weeks later. I nearly lost my job. I would not recommend this place for this reason.
