I saw firsthand how these facilities don't have the proper staff to do medication management, to have physical therapy on site let alone get them showered every day. This is the only place I would consider if I were to do it again because of the amazing staff, that is always on site. They are just steps above every other facility in every way.

It didn't take too long before she made friends with all the staff and she adored them. They treated her with such kindness and concern I didn't worry about her care. They made sure the food was how she liked it, how her bed was made and all the little things that made her feel at home. They were 100% professional and they couldn't have been more kind to her. She loved it there. We were lucky to have her live there.

There is nowhere to call and absolutely no one to help. Talk to your nurse...she was the problem! On Sundays the Director of Nursing is there. I spoke to her personally that 1st Sunday, the two sons had major complaints and received a call from the D.O.N. on the 2nd Sunday. We were all in a meeting to discuss the patient and what their prognosis was for him. The D.O.N., Director of Social Services, PT, and the Activities Leader. After the PT talked for most of the time, the Activities Leader asked the patient about his care. When he started telling about that very mornings lack of care, BOTH the D.O.N. AND D.O.S.S. WALKED OUT OF HIS ROOM! STATING THAT THEY HAD ANOTHER MEETING! THEY HAD NOT FINISHED THE MEETING THAT THEY WERE IN! I was so angry and disgusted at the fact that they left the Activity Leader alone to take our complaints, spoke VOLUMES on just how much they DON'T CARE and WHY WE ARE STILL HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS! All we got was excuses from her and I doubt she passed anything along - with the exception of stating how RUDE they were to leave! Filled out a Grievance/Complaint/Concern Form on the 3rd Sunday! However, you turn these forms in to the Director of Social Services, YES the same one that walked out with the Director of Nursing!! My grievance form will never be seen or acknowledged! DO NOT GO THERE UNLESS YOU CAN FEND FOR YOURSELF BECAUSE THEY REFUSE TO DO ANYTHING FOR YOU! CALL LIGHTS ARE ON FOR HOURS BEFORE SOMEONE FINALLY COMES!

I'm adding to my previous review because I feel there were several serious issues that need to be…read moreaddressed. It was almost impossible to find Stephanie anywhere in the building. We only saw her once, when we gave her my mom's medication list after it had been lost. Because she was rarely, if ever, present, we honestly thought Isaac was the main person in charge. That is why we continued bringing our concerns to him instead of Stephanie. From our experience, management felt very absent and disconnected from what was actually happening in the building. After we moved my mom out and posted our review, Stephanie did reach out to us. We chose not to return her call because we felt our concerns had already been communicated repeatedly while my mom was there. After we didn't respond, she had staff members contact us to ask what was so bad and why we didn't want to keep my mom there. We felt this was very unprofessional. We wish these concerns had been taken seriously while my mom was still a resident, rather than after she was already moved out and a negative review was posted. It is very unfortunate that it took losing a resident for our concerns to seem like a big enough issue to be addressed. We had been communicating with staff and Isaac about the things my mom was going without and the problems we were seeing. These issues should have been addressed much sooner. Another extremely concerning incident was my mom's handicap placard being taken directly out of her purse while it was in her room. I find it incredibly disturbing that someone would go through a resident's belongings and steal something as important as her handicap placard. Thankfully, she did not have cash in her purse. While I cannot say who took it, the fact that it happened at all is extremely concerning and makes us question how secure residents' personal belongings are. I believe Pheasant View needs stronger oversight, more consistent management presence, and better training and supervision of staff. Management needs to actually be present in the building and aware of what is happening so employees understand which concerns need to be taken seriously and addressed immediately. I also believe the facility should take resident safety and staff screening very seriously, including appropriate background checks and thorough hiring practices. We wanted my mom to be somewhere where she felt safe, cared for, and respected. Unfortunately, our experience at Pheasant View did not give us that peace of mind.

My care showed up two weeks late by then I did not need physical therapy and I told her I didn't need her services and she cried Said she would get fired. The therapist told me that people with my medical condition always end up in wheelchairs, which is not only untrue, but also very unsensitive. They were terrible. The first time was Aug through Sept 2021 and the second was Feb through March 2022. I had my left hip replaced and then my right knee replaced. The nurse who saw me was Holly. She is laid back, knowledgeable, attentive, assertive, kind, and effective. When things are good, she tells you they are good and when they are not good, she immediately gets support from her network to be sure what she is considering is the correct approach! NOTHING gets by Holly! Then you have Brad and Curt, physical therapists. You couldn't have better orthopedic physical therapists in your corner! In the past when I have had physical therapy, their theories may have been correct but their methodologies were so poor that I came away hating the whole experience! That has NOT happened with Brad and Curt. They push for results but are so thoughtful and considerate about not pushing too much! And, if they can't help any more at home, they recommend that the patient go to the facility for further treatment! Curt is savvy and sneaky with his ability to converse while manipulating your joint. Suddenly you've either related or heard a great story and your knee is at 90 degrees but you didn't feel any pain! That's the secret...caring and compassion! They know that at Community Nursing Services and I recommend them Highly!

Not a good place to care for someone you love. Theft of personal property since my family member…read morehas been there his watch, most of his clothing, his wallet with cash and credit cards inside (3 times), his winter coat (purchased at Christmas 2023) 3 new sets of sheets and matching bedspreads, and most recently a beautiful blanket for his bed with an image of a wolf on it that his daughter had given him. When staff was told about this (each time something comes up missing) we get the same song and dance that they will find the items and return them and then call us back once they have done that but I have yet to see the items nor have I ever received the promised call back. We have spoken to the front desk, the laundress/activity director, the aid that helps him shower(last time he saw his watch) and he still has not had anything returned nor has anyone called back. I have asked to speak to the administrator a number of times only to be told that they couldn't give out his contact information but would give him mine and he would call me. The most recent problem was brought to our attention was when he had someone withdrawn $900.00 from his bank account and then said he needed to withdraw more only 2 days later, and when asked where the first $900.00 was he said that one of the nurse's aide's there was having financial issues and that he had given it to her and had done so many time's since he's been there. When we confronted her about it she denied it at first but then admitted to it and promised to pay it back but only after we said that we were going to report her and file charges. He has yet to receive any money back nor has he gotten any of his belongings back. Keep in mind he is bed ridden and cannot get around unassisted to spend any of the money he has withdrawn and in going through his bank statements recently we have found hundreds of dollars unaccounted for. And if you can call 2 buns and a piece of chicken with no condiments on it a balanced meal there is definitely a problem (don't get me started).
