As it turned out, the best option was a completely new system, which was definitely a bigger decision than we originally anticipated. What I appreciated most was that Kody never made us feel rushed or pressured. He was kind, patient, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all of our questions and walk us through the details. And then they really impressed us with how quickly everything came together. They were back the very next day and the day after as it was a two day job, with a full team of installers and replaced the entire system, including new ducting, insulation, and everything that went along with it. The crew worked hard, was professional, and got the whole job done efficiently. Replacing an HVAC system is definitely not how anyone wants to spend their money, but having a team that makes the process this easy makes a HUGE difference. We couldn't have asked for a better experience with Kody and the installation team. Highly recommend!

The installment team came (three members) and were professional, courteous, and knowledgeable! When it was completed they were careful to vacuum the carpets and were very detail oriented. This is the second HVAC system they have replaced, last year they replaced the ducts, insulation, and the entire system and for the first floor. Fair price with multiple discounts, knowledgeable estimator, polite and caring office staff, and skilled installation teams. From beginning to end the process was easy, fast, and affordable. Thanks Greiner for another positive experience!

This is a little overdue, but well worth the delay. I…read more had another vendor come out and inspect my system to find that I had a cracked heat exchanger, which was dangerous for the home. They did their job and then quoted me a price that I thought was a bit high. I went through my warranty company to see if they would fix that, only to find out they sent out a vendor that couldn't find the cracks. I called Cozy home for a third opinion and they were there soon and not only demonstrated that I needed a new unit for safety reasons but offered me a complete system for $10,500 less than the first vendor. Not only did they make the safety of my family their priority, but installed it quickly safely and as I said before for $10,500 less than the first vendor. Mark was great with the initial inspection and I'm glad he was able to make the recommendation. . I'm happy with the system. The install team was awesome as well. Got the whole thing done in a day. I'm happy I found This Company and feel a lot more "cozy" in my home now and for the foreseeable future. Thanks guys.!

They took my money, failed final inspection, and have not come back to fix it…read more I see the owner, Jason, replied to another person with a similar problem that they "do not have any Install's that are left incomplete." This is not true, at least in my case, and I'm happy to give him the permit number if he gives ME a call--I'm tired of calling and emailing and getting not reply. I hired Cozy Home Services in January 2026 to swap my ducted gas furnace for a heat pump at my home in Oakland. The main installation went smoothly, but what followed has been deeply frustrating. When it was time for final inspection, they told me to schedule it myself, even though their contract says they do the permits. The first inspection failed with nine correction items. It took weeks of follow-up and the intervention of a third party for me to get Cozy Home to send someone out to make the fixes. When the technician arrived, it was clear they had not reviewed the correction notice or checked with the city. He asked me what needed to be fixed, then called his manager for guidance, and ultimately said he would do what he could and 'we'll see how it goes.' They even installed the wrong fix--an unnecessary second breaker box on the outside of the house. That second inspection (which I also had to schedule) failed with six items still outstanding. These are not complicated fixes, either--things like swapping in a GFCI breaker, putting in a proper p-trap on the condensation drain, and other items that are listed right in the blower installation manual. That second failure was six months ago. They have not come back and the permit is still not finaled. During the installation, they also cut up my existing filter box rather than replacing it with a properly sized unit as they promise under their own "right size guarantee." They removed the side of the box and replaced it with a loose sheet of metal, ruining the latching, gasketed door to the filter slot. Now I have to untape the door to change the filter, then tape it shut again. This is not a permanent or professional solution. I have made repeated attempts to get them to work with the city. Their responses are sporadic and commitments are not kept. The equipment itself seems fine. The problem is entirely with follow-through, workmanship on the details, and responsiveness after the sale.

After getting a very high quote from a major plumbing chain, we decided to contact Water Heater…read moreMasters. We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Water Heater Masters. Alex sent our technician, Rojo, who helped install a new 40-gallon gas water heater in our indoor utility closet, and he was incredibly diligent, professional, and efficient from start to finish. Installing a tank in an inside closet can be tricky, but Rojo handled the entire job seamlessly in just 2 hours. He replaced everything with high-quality components, including: * New hot and cold water flex lines * A brand new water shut-off valve * A new gas flex line and sediment trap * Fully reworked earthquake straps (to meet California safety codes) * Properly updated T&P line and venting He also took care of the removal and disposal of our heavy 18 yr old tank, leaving the utility closet completely clean. If you want fair pricing, expert specialized service, and a technician who respects your time and home, call Water Heater Masters and ask for Rojo. Highly recommended!

We were replacing a gas water heater with a hybrid electric heat pump water heater. Generally, this…read moretype of heater costs twice as much (price and installation) as a traditional electric water heater, but costs a lot less to run (and therefore you recoup the additional cost in a few years from lower operating costs). I had a very easy experience getting an on-site quote. I received 3 quotes for this job. 2 quotes, including this one, came in around $7100. I went with a third one at around $6700 (which included an additional mixing valve) and am very happy with my decision. Overall price was not a big part of my decision, but brand of water heater was. After doing some research online, the most recommended brands are AO Smith and Rheem (GE). Both higher quotes were for Navien, which has only been making heat pump water heaters for 1 year, but I was told that it is the most reliable brand. I did not understand how this claim could be made, given how short the duration of evaluation for this product. Even the worst appliances usually work for at least a year. So I requested a quote for AO Smith or Rheem, which I did not get. I'm not sure why my brand request was not honored, but it made me question whether I should go with a company that either has communication issues or maybe some type of deal with Navien that I was not informed about. Many water heater installers are preferred installers of certain brands, which means they can get better pricing, etc. I did not want to be a guinea pig for Navien.

I got quotes from a couple of other plumbers and My Legacy's price was lower than one and in line with the others. Brandon was up front about the pricing quoting me 2 numbers saying if they could do it trenchless it would cost A, but if for some reason that didn't work and they needed to dig out the whole yard to replace the line the cost would be B. I liked that they were upfront about the potential costs and were able to work on the job. I also had them repair a leak in the kitchen sink area by replacing all faucets and the garbage disposal. They did a good job there as well. Overall they had good pricing and good service. I would recommend My Legacy if you have any plumbing needs.

Long story short It was an absolute nightmare of an experience stay far far away. We called on a Wednesday and a man named Brandon answered, he was polite on the phone and said he could come by on Saturday at 9AM and install it for us in about 2-3 hours. Brandon arrived a little bit late at around 9:18AM which wasn't a big deal. He began installing it and started testing it out to see if it was working. He told us our water pressure was low and the pipes looked pretty corroded. We didn't have any issues with the water pressure previously and had our home inspected a year ago when we purchased it. He said he would need need to replace a section in the attic where the water heater ran up to because of corrosion. It took him about 4 hours and he billed us for $4200. Basically 4 hours of work on the water heater installation and repairing the corroded pipe. He told us it would take about an hour for the new water heater to have the hot water ready. We tried at an hour and it wasn't hot so we tried again 2 hours later and still nothing. So we called him and told him we didn't have hot water 2 hours after he left and he told us, "the regulator probably just needs to be adjusted or there may be an issue with the tank but if it's still not running by tomorrow then to call again and he would swing by first thing Monday morning because he was busy until then." So we were not trying to be left without hot water for 2 days. So we told him forget it and we'll call someone else who can come sooner. We got a plumber to come out Sunday morning to take a look at what was going on. The new plumber was here for over an hour and told us he couldn't figure out what was going on after testing the new water heater. He asked us if the hot water was working before and if Brandon had done any other work besides the installation. We told him about how he said a corroded pipe in the attic needed to be replaced so he went ahead and did that also. The plumber went up there to check it and noticed that the pipe that feeds cold water into the water heater and been soldered to the pipe that leaves the heater with hot water. So basically the Water heater wasn't getting any hot water and that's why we could only get cold water as you can see in the photo. The plumber couldn't believe that this had been done so he showed us the picture and said we may want to ask for our money back. Once we told him how much we paid he said he would've installed it for half the price... so not only did Brandon the Scumbag charge us double the normal price but he also had us pay him to break our plumbing. I'm just glad he was busy till Monday because I can only imagine he would've kept taking us to the cleaners. We left it as is and chalked it up as a learning lesson especially after the new plumber only charged us $80 to repair the pipes Brandon messed up. Hope you enjoyed our money you piece of crap!

1/5 Stars: PROPERTY OWNERS AND LANDLORDS, BEWARE. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY…read more As a property owner, I strongly recommend that other landlords and property investors avoid Advanced Plumbing Heating and Air. My experience with this company demonstrated a concerning lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic customer service. Before engaging their services, I explicitly established that all findings, concerns, and recommendations regarding my rental property were to be communicated directly to me as the property owner. Apparently, following simple instructions was too much to ask. During a service visit on October 1, their technician disregarded this arrangement and communicated serious concerns regarding my property's heating system directly to my tenant instead of contacting me as instructed. This created unnecessary stress and confusion that I was subsequently left to manage. To be clear, I absolutely expect HVAC professionals to identify legitimate safety concerns. However, there is a professional and responsible way to communicate those concerns, particularly when working with rental properties. Keeping the property owner informed should be a fundamental part of that process. Because of this experience, I made the decision to terminate my business relationship with the company. Their response to losing a customer was arguably the most revealing part of the entire experience. Rather than receiving a thoughtful, personalized response acknowledging my concerns, I received what appeared to be a generic, AI-generated message. They couldn't even spell my name correctly. Think about that for a moment. A property owner terminates a business relationship because of concerns about professionalism and communication, and the company's response is an impersonal, seemingly automated message that doesn't even get the customer's name right. You genuinely couldn't ask for a better demonstration of the very problem that caused me to terminate their services in the first place. It left me with the impression that my concerns were not taken seriously and that retaining my business was of little importance to them. As someone who owns rental property, I depend on contractors who can communicate effectively, exercise sound judgment, and respect established expectations. I should not have to micromanage basic communication or wonder whether a company is even paying attention to the customer paying for its services. My recommendation to fellow property owners is simple: Take your business elsewhere. Find a company that respects your instructions, communicates directly and professionally, and treats your property and your business relationship with the attention they deserve. There are plenty of HVAC contractors who understand that professionalism involves more than showing up with a toolbox. Advanced Plumbing Heating and Air has permanently lost my business. Between the disregard for established communication expectations and the embarrassingly impersonal response to my termination notice, I have absolutely no confidence in their customer service. If they cannot even take the time to spell a customer's name correctly in a response to a formal complaint, I have little reason to believe they will give my property the attention it deserves. One star. I would not recommend this company to any property owner.
