We have been coming to Creekside for over 5 years. Our cat and rescue dog (which has socialization issues ;-) love this place. I am always truly amazed at the handling of all the varieties of dogs that they manage! The hours and services offered are great and they are flexible when we need them to be. Creekside is a great place to take your dogs for boarding and regular daycare. The facility is fun for our dogs to run and play with other dogs. When we leave on extended trips I have no worries that Stellar and Pippi are well taken care of and I don't have to be concerned that they will get out and lost. They come back from daycare exhausted and happy. Jacob has a great long-term staff who deeply care for the animals they care for. My dog, Callie, has been going to daycare at Creekside for a few years now and she absolutely loves it! At first she was shy around the other dogs, but because of their intake process and introducing her to the more calm dogs first she warmed up to the "pack" and now loves the playtime. She loves the staff and they have always taken excellent care of her, whether it's at daycare or boarding there during our family vacations. They even throw her a party every year on her birthday! As a corporate professional, new to area and looking for a boarding facility for my pets, I called this business to inquire and ask questions regarding their operations and get a feel for the kind of service and care that my dogs would be receiving should I decide to take them there. The young lady that called me back was not only a poor listener, and quickly began cutting me off mid-sentence multiple times, assuming the questions I was attempting to get out of mouth, failing to answer my questions. She called me "hun" when I addressed the issue I was having in attempting to have the conversation, evidence that she was easily "miffed" because I was making her aware of her rudeness and inability to listen first and then answer the questions I was asking. She continued to interrupt me even after I addressed the problem I was having in speaking with her. It was a painful and distressing call for me as a potential client. And to think that as I tried to say to her (but she interrupted me again), that it was important for me to be able to ask the questions I wanted to ask, given that I was possibly going to bring my business to them, meaning 3 dogs and several dates throughout the year and into future years. But this young lady didn't "hear" any of this, because she was too busy talking over me and not listening to really anything I was attempting to convey to her regarding my pack of dogs. Listening is a valuable tool when you are in a customer service type role and one where customers will be entrusting their pets. After a few more strained attempts to talk to this young lady, I gave up after the 15th interruption and decided that it would be best to perhaps talk with the owner and asked for a call back or a phone number to reach him or her. This young lady quickly had a change of attitude to one of condescension and became defensive in her attitude to me at that point. She even started laughing. She called me "hun" and became patronizing, mind you, I'm old enough to be her mother if not grandmother. Between the disrespectful nature of this young lady and then the fact that she even giggled before she hung up on me, shows this girl's lack of training in phone rapport, customer service, and just a general lack of respect for potential customers or even the company that employs her. When I immediately attempted to call the owner at the number this young lady gave to me, it was a fax number. I went online to the website and sure enough, she gave me a fax number which explained the giggling I heard before she hung up on me. If this young lady is the company's "front line" for potential customers, then I wish the best for this facility as I have never been treated with such disrespect in a long time. It was shocking to say the least. And, when I called the general phone number back over the next hour, they wouldn't pick up the phone but kept letting my call go to their voicemail. Again, a shocking way conduct business. Don't let the website fool you. When you are looking for a place to board your pets, keep in mind that communication and attention to your needs and those of your pets starts with the humans that are working at the facility. They will be the ones taking care of them in your absence and I certainly wouldn't want this young lady being anywhere near my pets. I can't imagine if I was out of town and there was an emergency and the only connection to my pets was through this young lady and her inability to effectively and professionally communicate and more importantly her inability to listen. God knows what could go wrong, wrong medications given, mistreatment of my pets due to her lack of listening and always talking over people, etc. I value my pets too much to risk their care under the management of this young lady. And this is why I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. I'm adding to my review after I received a disturbing call from the owner hours later who was equally condescending, laughed at me, bullied me on the phone and attempted to belittle me. I'm stunned beyond belief, but actually I am not. As a corporate professional, I know that businesses can be created and run, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they possess nor have had any training in customer service, business ethics or business practices. The owner was a direct reflection of his young lady working for him, which explains why I was treated the way I was today. This treatment is acceptable when conducting yourself in business according to the owner because he acts the same way as his employee - laughs at you, talks over you, and forgets that his actions as a business owner have consequences as do those of his employees. But he doesn't care. Keep this in mind should you ever have an issue with him or any of this staff. Employees of a company are only as strong as the management and today's firsthand experience with both show the lack of business practices and lack of any training in the area of customer service. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Creekside Pet Center. The facility is very clean and the staff is very friendly. Our dogs love boarding here. The staff remembers them from visit to visit. We have probably boarded an average of 2-3 times a year, short 2-3 day stays to 2 week stays. We can reserve adjoining runs that have a door that allows them to interact back and forth between the runs. They always come home in great condition. They are let out 5 times a day to relieve themselves and play. There is an add-on that gives one-to-one play and interaction in a very large area. This place is AMAZING!!! Everyone there is extremely sweet, and very attentive to your pets. When I am wanting to check up on my boys I just send an email, and they get back to me in a reasonable amount of time. Dogs seem to love it there, and we always do just the standard room. The owners are very trustworthy, and treat your pets like their very own. It's very simple to reserve dates online, and plan for pick up, and also put all the notes they need to know for each individual pet you have. When Creekside opened was about the time I got my dog 4 years ago. To say they have been a second home to my dog would be selling them short. She cries in the car a mile away and when we turn in the driveway she starts freaking out. Entertaining a lab puppy can be hard and keeping her out of the water bowl....even harder. But they continue to exceed expectations and always watch over her. I have picked Creekside many times over family members watching her and she LOVES the daycare there. The socialization she gets there is unmatchable. Did I mention the business owners also support the other small businesses in town? They are part of the Columbia community and always want to help in any way they can. They have eased my mind many times and are always good friends to have. read more

I can't imagine boarding my Labrador, Joshua, anywhere else but Creekside. Joshua loves to go there and participate in daycare and boarding. In fact, when he sees his bed, food, and bag sitting by our back door, Joshua gets very excited and stands by the car door, ready to hop in, because he knows where he is going. As I turn down the road to drive the final 3 miles to Creekside, he begins whining. Arriving at Creekside, he runs in and is so happy to greet everyone! This gives me great assurance and alleviates any of my guilt of leaving him. I travel a lot so he is a frequent boarder. Jacob and his staff are amazing! I was very pleased with my experience at Creekside Pet Center. The facility is impressive. It is brand new, big, and spacious. It's very clean and you can tell a lot of thought was put into making the facility as functional and comfortable for the pets as possible. What is even more impressive is the owners' philosophy. They are very cognizant of the fact that boarding facilities can be stressful for pets and try to make them feel as at-home as possible. They allow you to bring beds and toys from home and they also have various "upgrades" you can purchase, such as daycare, "yappy hour" (aka PB-filled kongs), baths, nail trims, and more. They even have private suites with TV's and webcams. It was such a relief to know that my dog was in good hands while I was away. I am so grateful to have Creekside Pet Center in Columbia! read more

Creekside is a lifesaver and a daycare you can trust! After an awful experience with a different daycare in town, we decided to take our pup to creekside. He had been in daycare his whole life but also had a wee but of anxiety because of the situations he had been in at his last place. We had been to creekside once when deciding on a daycare when our dog was a young puppy, and the only reason we didn't keep him there was the long drive to their facility, but it is sooo worth it. When we took Bodhi for his consultation after his bad experience, our fears melted! The owner is so kind a patient and doesn't mind high energy pups. He called us throughout the day as he knew our worries from past experience. And Bodhi had a blast! He was so tired and calm when I picked him up! Any days that we give them concerns(tummy aches, post shots, etc.) They call us and give us updated throughout the day. They never seem inconvenienced at all. They get special treats for the dogs during holidays and post pictures of birthdays and parties on Facebook so you can check in. The best part is that the interior of the building is glass and the exterior has all iron fences so you can come see your dog through the day! The first couple of weeks Bodhi was there we would take a drive and just check on him if he was outside and he was always having a great time! read more

I was house hunting for a move to the Columbia area and needed a place for 6 of my dogs that have never been boarded and except for overnight stays at my vet have never been away. I took my very energetic puppy there today for doggie daycare. Normally he is a complete spaz and overwhelming when I get home. He has been a different dog tonight-in a very good way! Myself and my wife we're highly upset with the care that was provided to our animals. The staff didn't take note of our dogs eating schedule, over fed them, and ran out of the food we had provided for two of our dogs. It seemed as if there were poor lack of communication with the staff from the start. When we picked up our two German Shepherds and six month old Corgi puppy, we noticed they weren't acting normal. That night our Corgi had to be taken to Missouri University Emergency Services because he had blood in his stool and was vomiting when we touched his stomach. We were a nervous wreck awaiting results of a parvo test. He was diagnosed with a G.I. infection. We arrived home around 1:00 a.m. only to discover our female German Shepherd had developed a cough. We took her to our vet the following morning and she was diagnosed with kennel cough. I was very upset to learn 2/3 of our animals had fallen ill after being boarded at Creekside. When I spoke with the owner of the facility, he compared the situation to a person getting sick on an airplane and that person blaming the airline for getting sick. He argued and felt that he was not responsible for our dogs getting sick and didn't feel obligated to help in anyway. We are not blaming anyone for what happened. I had originally notified them of the issue so they could address it before other dogs got sick. We spent over $400 to board the dogs, $400 in vet bills, and had to take a vacation day to stay with our sick dogs. I would encourage you to take my review into consideration before you board your animals, here or anywhere. read more
