Ok, so my first review was apparently too long and awesome and detailed. So it only posted 1/3 of it. Plus it was unedited and had a case of grammatical diarrhea....anywho. Here we go again. Short and sweet. This park is big! It has 3 levels. It has water features on the top level and a stream with access stairs to play in at bottom. Bring extra clothes for your kids. It's dog friendly with poop bags provided. Please use them. There is a ramp that goes through the park so it's accessible to most. This review will do absolutely 0 justice to describe how awesome this place is. You HAVE to go if you're in the area and looking for something to do. Your kids will love it! Good luck getting them to leave.

This park is great! There are misters going on the upper level to cool kids down. We visited on July 29 and most of the creek water was gone. There was still enough to splash around and have fun though.

A suspension bridge with a staircase leading up a hill, surrounded by trees and greenery, in an outdoor park setting.

We were visiting SLC from Arizona & couldn't pass on a park with 6 - 5 star reviews. We drove the 15 minute drive and man was it worth the hype! The playground was perfect for my 3 year old, bathrooms were clean and once he was done plying we ventured to the creek. We spent two hours here and regret not bringing lunch with us to enjoy it longer. Absolutely worth a stop here. I'd recommend bringing water shoes and spare clothes for water play

All water play features not functioning... even on Sat of holiday weekend! - The park's water play features are turned off, with no active water flow visible, despite clear weather and a holiday weekend.

Sad encounter after rave reviews... no water turned on and creek completely dried up! Very little covered/shade available over play areas. Looking for water experience on a visit up to SLC on holiday weekend.

I absolutely love finding roadside gems like Gilgal Sculpture Garden! They really allow you to…read moreexperience the local flavor of community, and goodness... does this garden deliver! The garden was the passion project of Thomas Child, an LDS bishop and Salt Lake City businessman. Located in what used to be his backyard, he started the garden when he was 57 years old and worked on it until his death nearly 20 years later! A neighbor then bought the property and made it available for public visitation, and it was ultimately handed over to the city for longterm maintenance and preservation. I don't mean to be insensitive at all, but the garden is one of the most fabulously weird places I've ever visited. The park contains 12 original sculptures that depict various scenes from the Book or Mormon. My favorites include a sphinx with the face of Joseph Smith, and the sacrificial altar dedicated to Childs' wife. "Gilgal" refers a city and valley in LDS literature, and the name means circle of standing stones. If you're in Salt Lake City, this garden is definitely worth a visit. Admission is free, and the park is open from 8AM to 8PM. It's located in a residential neighborhood, so please be respectful of the neighbors. Add this to your list of favorite roadside bits of unique Americana.

It is also incredibly religious in nature, with many biblical quotes carved into stones and art that reflects or is inspired by scripture. It's a little bizarre to be honest and has a creepy, cultish feel. SLC has lots of other great art and gardens where your time could be spent.
