The learning and experiences he got when in person started again was incredible. He thrived in academics and quickly developed his skills in orchestras. This school set him up for such success in high school and will graduate with a GPA of well over 4.0 and being on multiple state championship teams. Thank you FRMS!

Intimidation, fear, physical assault, and bully tactics caused him unimaginable anxiety and trauma....all which has been thoroughly documented via medical records. Our experience with the teachers, on a whole, were positive however the administrative staff at Flat Rock and some of the administrative staff at the district level ignored serious complaints about bullying/harassment and violation of my son's 504 requirements. This school and DISTRICT refused to acknowledge and remediate a dire need situation to ensure a healthy learning environment for my son; thus leaving my family with no option other than removing him from Fayette Public School District immediately; which is very unfortunate because we are now paying for private school. Decisions were and still are politically motivated and the goal is to "keep the record clean" for Fayette County School District. It's difficult to penetrate to the top, and even then, the web of district connections often interfere with unbiased decision making. Parents (especially those with neuro-atypical learners) PLEASE MONITOR YOUR CHILD'S MENTAL HEALTH and speak out immediately if something is not right.

I started with one child in high school, one in middle, and one in elementary, and I love that they stand by their mission to prepare each student to impact the world for Jesus Christ. I appreciate that there's a partnership with the parents and the school. It's not just the school's responsibility to teach my children academics and character, but rather they encourage parent participation! The teachers legitimately care for the students and go beyond their workday to communicate with me should there be something to discuss. As for college preparedness, my Junior has tools to help her decide on colleges. They have two counselors to help guide students each step of the way. Not to mention, they offer AP classes and several Dual Enrollment classes to help aid with the cost of college. They are open to hearing from parents and their concerns. In middle school, their principal is sweet and kind, but knows when to be stern. I adore their assistant principal as well. Elementary is precious and I love all the field trips and hands on activities that are available. The entire school has access to gardening and earth sustainable teachings as well! They have two gardens that they harvest throughout the year where students can sample their plants (they make amazing salsa). And to even talk about their academies and special interest classes (such as filmmaking, fashion design, engineering, aviation, art) just blew me away when I toured the school. I wasn't sold on the school until I toured it! Can't recommend it enough!

We were specially told that she wouldn't be a fit because if the discussion came up in class amongst the other children that we weren't married, it would make other children think it was ok. Mind you, my daughter then was 5, and scoring above average in reading and math. We were told to come back when married and now that I am, I would NEVER enroll my daughter there. They should be ashamed of themselves. And they're supposed to be a Christian school. And of course we're African American.

Most of the teachers and administrators dont care about the students. The principal is like something you read about in the newspaper and not fit to be anybody's principal or work around anyones kids. I pulled Both my highschoolers from this school and pay for them to go to a private school . They now greatly excel in academics . None of my kids will ever go here again even though this is our assigned highschool . Please, if you are looking for a highschool where your kids can excel and learn life lessons as a teen do not pick this school and honestly you should probably reconsider the county for education .

This school is a diverse group of kids and great teachers and administrators. I have had 2 kids go there, the last one is a Senior. The first one is a Sophomore at a Division 1 college in the honors program. Mr. Smith, the Principal cares more about these kids than any principal I have ever seen. They have teachers who come in early and stay late to help the kids who are having trouble with different subjects. I lived in PTC and my first kid went there to the green school. Drugs, clicks, and entitled brats reigned there. Sandy Creek is a great school with great people. No trouble at all. Yes, its diverse, so is the world. Teaches everyone its not about race, color, religion, or political views. They are Patriots and I am proud to be involved. Brian Siefert
