My family and I have been patients here for 17+ years and never had a more professional dental office than what we have with Creekside Dental. Everyone in the office is always friendly and extremely talented. I've had my share of dishonest dentists, so much, that I had become skeptical of the entire dental trade. Dishonest dentists would, on almost every visit, say that I needed a cavity to be filled, or the like. You wouldn't question them because they were the "professional" and you expected them to honestly tell you what needed to be done. Besides, you couldn't see very well inside your mouth, so they could tell you anything they wanted. It felt as if I was getting blindsided. Until I met Janine, the hygienist who worked for Dr. Hanson. She told me about Dr. Hanson, how talented and conscientious he was about his work in the dental field. We had just moved to the Salmon Creek area and I was, begrudgingly, looking for a family dentist. It turns out that Creekside Dental Office was just down the street from our new house...bonus!! I took Janine's advice and booked an appointment with them. What I noticed first was how friendly the front staff (Sally) was and how comfortable she made me. Janine took me back to clean my teeth and I was impressed by how maticulous she was with the cleaning. Dr. Hanson's hygienists don't just clean your teeth. They inspect and measure the condition of the gums around your teeth. Furthermore, they gave me instructions on "how" to brush my teeth and advice on how to manage my gum line. Never in my past has anyone ever told me the proper way to brush my teeth! With every subsequent hygienist appointment, they would tell me the condition of my teeth/gums, how to clean it better and why it was important to have good teeth/gums because it was good for your overall health! Dr. David Hanson, a very friendly and unassuming dentist. When it came to looking at my teeth, he performed a very comprehensive exam and inspection.(He even looked around and underneath my tongue, which no dentist has ever done before!) Furthermore, he even delved into the rest of my health and other medical conditions, and what medicines I was taking. When Dr. Hanson was concerned about something, he would bring out his oral scope and show you on the pc monitor where the disease was. I especially appreciated that... Gives me trust and belief in Dr. Hanson's skills and diagnostic abilities, and not some sham trying to take my money. Our family has been going to Dr. Hanson for almost twenty years. I am one of those who doesn't go to the dentist unless I'm having an emergency, so I hadn't been there in several years when I recently had a piece of molar break off. I didn't even think twice about who to call. They got me in right away and I could not believe how efficient, friendly and high-tech they were, even though I already knew that Dr. Hanson is the very best there is in Vancouver. He has done some fantastic work for me and for my family over the years. Since I hadn't been in for several years, it took about ten minutes to fill out the forms. They quickly assessed the tooth, Dr. Hanson had a really cool camera that displayed a very clear image of the tooth, better than any naked eye could see, on the monitor in front of me. He worked his magic and skillfully filled the hole left by the missing piece, leaving no roughness for my tongue to obsess over, and zero pain involved. The entire visit took less than half an hour! I'm good to go until I get the crown put in soon. I was originally referred to Dr. Hanson by two friends who do not know each other. A good dentist is like a good mechanic. If you find one, don't let them go. When it comes to your mouth or your car, you want only the most trustworthy and qualified person working on them. If you are reading this review, look no further. I have taken very good care care of not very good teeth for 50 years, I grew up with softened water. So I have learned how to find and assess good dentists and I worked in health care. I recently moved to Washington and after some research tried Creekside. After 2 appointments I am thrilled with that choice. I am particularly impressed with the respect and consideration Dr Hansen shows to all his staff - no wonder there is so little turnover, they work very well and naturally as a team. That translates to better patient care. They are very thorough and knowledgeable. Wonderful, gentle, professional hygienist. Very high standards of infection control. Considerable investment in quality equipment for best practice. Dr Hansen has "great hands" - you can only tell that if you have had a really superb dentist before and recognize it again . I feel so fortunate to have found Creekside Dental. When we moved back to the area 15 years ago, I called dental labs to ask who they would recommend as a dentist. They recommended Dr. Hanson for the excellent crown prep that he does. Since I wasn't blessed with good teeth, it was essential for me to find a highly competent and professional dentist. They are very nice people. I was welcomed with a smile and did not have to wait long before I was taken back for my appointment. My hygienist was gentle and caring. She made sure I was taken care of and comfortable. They are very informative and helpful for what I need need to work on. I have been sensitive on a tooth and when Dr. H came in he checked the area and did everything he can to fix it. And gave me all my option straight. Nobody really likes to go to the dentist and I put it off for far too long. As a result, there was a bit of work necessary to get me back on track. Dr Hanson and his staff took care of me gently and professionally. He was constantly checking in to make sure nothing hurt (it didn't) and made the experience great for me.
