Edited to add: We were not able to get anywhere with the new owner, Cutler, regarding our faulty roof. Our home insurance had also denied our claim because they don't cover "Faulty Workmanship" on the roof. After learning that they are not licensed, we were left with little recourse to force them to correct their shoddy work. I called the Moore County Home Builder's Association and they offered to moderate for us. They were able to reach the original owner, Tony, about the issue. They came out to look at the damage and determined the roof IS faulty. Tony had a crew fix the roof and the damage to our home. This was a very exhausting process but at the end of it all, Tony made it right. Creed and Garner Roofing (CGR) installed a brand new roof on my home in late August 2020. Toward the end of November, a major leak was noticed in the interior ceiling of my home. Cutler Creed with CGRcame out to review and spent hours on the roof applying roofing adhesive/caulk. Mr. Creed indicated that the adhesive would be a temporary fix and that a team would need to come back out to replace the ridge vents because they were not installed properly. Instead of returning to fix the faulty worksmanship, CGR sent me an unexpected email claiming that the water was coming from the air handler instead, not the roof. Since then, we have had three different inspectors come to the house -an HVAC inspector, a roofing inspector, and an insurance claims investigator. All three inspectors determined the leak to be coming from the massive holes in the roof. CGR continues to deny the problem and refuses to remedy their faulty worksmanship. read more

We used Creed and Garner as recommended and spent 10K on a new roof a couple of months ago. It has been a nightmare and our new roof is leaking into our home and has already caused damage. Creed and Garner put roofing cement on top of the many problems and then claimed "we didn't mess it up." They now won't respond to us even though they promised their work. We've had 3 inspectors come in and verify the roof is leaking and it was due to poor workmanship. I understand the company has changed ownership. Now we have to file a complaint against them with the state. Please beware!!! read more

We've used Creed & Garner Roofing a couple of times and have always been completely satisfied with quality and service.

They were prompt in responding to my request for quote. They showed up on time. A couple of iterations i finally got my quote and decided to move forward. Like all roofers around here there is a wait. They eventually (delays due to weather) made it out to do the job. During the first day here, i became concerned about their sloppiness and was hoping the work and job site after completion would not be left the same way. They were to fix the roof-gutter seam and replace some soffit that had deteriorated. I provided them the maker of the soffit and its product number and where to get it to insure they got the right one. After completion of fixing the roof, they started on replacing the soffit. Once they started I went out and checked and found out they did not get the correct one. I told the worker there was a problem and asked him if he knew what it was. He stated the soffit did not match the rest of the house. I was a bit shocked his answer as he knew it was wrong but yet put it up anyway. I told him to take it down and come back and replace it with the correct one. A few weeks later, they came back and finished replacing the soffit and painting it to match the existing house. When done, the job site was left a mess. Their cigarettes butts were left in the yard, they failed to pick up all the trash that was replaced on the roof and thrown down into the yard and the worst thing is they spilt paint all over my driveway they used to paint the soffit. I cannot get it off. Why did they get two stars instead of one? The work on the roof, while i cannot see it, seems to have worked. For this they deserve a star. read more

We had a leak, and they were at our home during the storm and placed a tarpaulin over the area of shingles that needed repair (not installed by them). They did a fine repair at a fair price. Later a different area of the roof had a leak, and they quickly fixed it. When the entire roof needs replacement, we will have Creed & Garner do the job. We recommend them very highly. read more

We had CG come out and give us a quote on a roof replacement. After having several quotes from a couple of locals and one outside the area. CG quoted our roof in line with what we had been seeing for our size of home. Still think the quote was ranging on the high side. However, we had one that was double the price from a roofing company outside the area. With that said I have to say that I was not totally happy with the final product. Although, the roofers were fast, they had the old roof off and the new one on in about 5 hours. Caveat was that they left several items from the quote off the final work. We had quoted ice and water around all penetration areas. This is fairly key in this area of high rainfall, in addition very little flashing replacement was done. Not sure about the impact of this in the longer term but again I would assume old flashing vs new may be a problem we will see. In addition they left some off the old felt down and just felted over it. From what I read that is a grey area of concern and really represents sloppy work. As they say your paying for removal and replacement of the felt. We will have to wait and see if this will be problem, probably not but it's the principle. After telling CG about the missing items that were not installed we got some compensation but not what it should of been. Finally, we got a pretty old fashion roof application with no high end products. Appearance was good but some areas haven't laid down as expected. Having roofed a house I can see some of the work could of been better. I wouldn't count them out if your considering CG but, make sure the work is what is being quoted and expected. read more

Creed & Garner put a new roof on our house and we couldn't be happier. It took us a while to decide between shingles and a metal roof but Cutler (the owner) was extremely patient and helpful and supplied a list of houses he had done work on so we could see first hand how it looks. His crew worked fast and they finished up in one day. They left our place spotless (cleaner then it was before) and even came back to prime some of the boards they had to replace.
