This is about Pickleball which has become cliquish to the point where certain players move paddles…read moreand will only play with other advanced players. Lesser players must find other venues or possibly get in a game or two with a few kind souls. Semones has always been this way. This is an inclusive Christian organization. These advanced players who take PB so seriously should join non-rec facilities. The Y is not the place.

I have been a member at this particular location for a while, and with the YMCA since 1989…read more However, I ended my membership after my grandson was bullied by a group of pickleball members. He was playing in the gym before they arrived. After some time, he came out crying because one of the men took his ball and put it away. When I reported the incident, one of the male staff members apologized and retrieved the ball. While I was comforting my grandson, telling him he did nothing wrong and that adults shouldn't be selfish and treat a nine-year-old child that way, I told him to stay near me and continue playing. At that moment, an ignorant female staff member, who was passing by, interjected, saying, "You can't play with the ball in this area." This is the second incident involving her discriminatory behavior towards my family. As I was leaving, deeply disappointed by the behavior--especially since this is supposed to be a Christian establishment--I saw Joseph and informed him. He stated that she shouldn't have said anything to me, as the matter did not involve her. A few weeks after I left, I stopped by to file a formal complaint and asked to speak to Brian, the director or manager of this location. He showed no empathy and instead stated that children should not be left alone. I am 55 years old, a former teacher, and a current paralegal. I was intentionally monitoring my grandson while sitting directly outside the gym in the vending area. This place has changed from a family-friendly, community-oriented place to a worldly, non-family-friendly environment for minority families.

It's your typical college fitness center. I think they have seven basketball courts and one indoor…read moresoccer court all on the first floor. Above that is indoor track that runs around the whole space. You have to go downstairs to find weightlifting floor. I was expecting a light and fresh place, similar to Equinox. Instead, the walls are a light beige, making it seem kind of muddy, and the light is a little yellowish too. I was also a little surprised that they didn't have more squat racks (four). Although the number that they have for here is more than adequate I guess. They also have two Olympic lifting platforms which, interestingly enough, were being used all the time when I was there. It's nice to see people doing Olympic lifts, I used to think no one ever knew about them. Lockers Non-descript. The type where you bring your own lock, though most of the lockers are not day lockers but people's personal lockers. The showers seemed decent. Also, it seems one of the sinks was having issues, have no idea how long that had been going on but they way it was talked about seemed like it had been that way for a while.

Super clean, super new, super cool :) The basketball courts are magnets…read morefor students wanting to start pick up games, and the rock climbing wall nearby looks like a lot of fun as well. They also have lines of cardio equipment, so you don't have to fret about not having one~ The swimming pool has a few lap lanes, a family wading pool, and an outdoor section with beach chairs as well. The area is pretty popular, so be prepared to circle swim ^^b kickboards and buoys are provided in a corner~ If you're not a student, then it's $10 per visitor for a day pass at the front desk. You can buy 10 passes for a slightly discounted price. I wish my university or current school had/has a student center as awesome as this one! The visitor pricing is a little steep for me for a single visit, but for students, this gem is free (sans tuition). Definitely don't miss an opportunity to stop by once!

Not only is the programming amazing (art, wonderful activities, splash days, characters, music and more!) but the counselors are top notch! They truly bond with your child and make camp a memorable experience. My child gets in the car each day and says, "MY DAY WAS AWESOME MOM!" They reward campers with things like "Camper of the Week" and ribbons and prizes, they teach respect, and they are on top of any issues that ever arise. In addition, the customer service the office provides anytime anything arises with registration or anything us moms need - over the top. They go above and beyond to make sure moms feel like they are taken care of. If you are looking for a consistent local summer experience for your kiddo - KV Camp is the one!

When comparing the CPS website's "signs of abuse" section to my child, there were ZERO comparisons. The next few weeks were filled with anxiety, depression, confusion, and just about every other emotion there is. All the company did was say they are mandated by the state, and they have no sympathy. This place is a joke. Save your money, it could possibly save your family from going through egregious allegations.
