The school's owners shockingly 'disenrolled' him at 10 p.m. the night before. This unjust action was taken because my sister, in an attempt to protect her 12-month-old, called DCF (local childcare licensing) to investigate something she was told by upper management at the school. Let that sink in... We were kicked out because my sister tried to protect her 12-month-old and asked questions based on something that was told to her... IS THIS REALLY THE WORLD WE LIVE IN? That you get punished for trying to protect our youngest and most vulnerable (or if you are related to someone trying to do this)??? I am making this public service announcement to raise awareness of this unjust action. I am sure I am not the first who has been unjustly punished for "calling DCF and writing a review". We cannot allow this to be our normal. To add insult to injury, Primrose has over $3800 of our money and won't acknowledge us or communicate with us. Again, this is because my sister stood up to protect her child. Imagine how many others have been silenced before us. It's urgent that we come together as a community and make it known that this malicious maltreatment will not stand! We need to act now to address this injustice.

They are extremely organized, communicative, and professional. With the Brightwheel app, we are able to message with teachers and administrators 24/7, and view the countless photos posted of our child having fun and learning. It is so comforting! They also offer 3 day a week options, half day, and extended day. The 3 day a week 8:30-12:30 option has been an excellent introduction to preschool for our son. We are thrilled to bump him to 5 days next year, and have no doubts that we will be pleased with the program. Finally, they offer "camps" over winter break and through summer, where you are able to pick and choose the days/weeks you'll need childcare. Absolutely incredible! The dress code is so strict it could probably arrest your socks for being too expressive. Hoodies? Satanic. Ripped jeans? Straight to prayer jail. Chapel happens so often it starts to feel like a Netflix series you didn't ask to binge. By week three, you're clapping on autopilot and wondering if extra credit is awarded for "most convincing worship face." Science class is fun if you enjoy learning about gravity, then immediately hearing, "But obviously God did it though." History moves from the Bible to America in one smooth PowerPoint slide, and somehow every major event involves either Jesus or Ronald Reagan. The teachers are nice, but every conversation feels like it's being monitored by an invisible youth pastor in the ceiling tiles. Ask a normal question and you get a theological TED Talk. Overall, First Baptist Academy is great if you love rules, routine, and being spiritually jump-scared by chapel music at 8 a.m. If nothing else, it definitely prepares you for one thing: surviving environments with absolutely no chill. This school is unacceptable.

I would also encourage parents to inquire how many current TVS upper school students are enrolled in virtual online classes to supplement holes in the curriculum. Ask what the student retention rate is. Ask what the average SAT and ACT test scores are, and ask for proof. The academics in the upper grades are especially dismal. Both student and staff turnover are very high. We greatly regret staying in TVS despite the many red flags, but our horrible experience with the upper school was the final straw.
