As a parent, I would not use this company because it expects people with little training who may or may not have ever taught in a classroom, to just make up their own lesson plans that may not match what the student is actually supposed to be learning in the classroom. This company does not just do tutoring, but teaches students who are not able to be in the classroom for various reasons. This is why it is extremely critical that the employees of this company have the exact same work that is being taught in the classroom.
The teachers of the students using Creative Tutoring will give the in-home instructors vague descriptions of their lessons, with a few handout sheets if you're lucky, and will expect them to do their job for them, instead of just enclosing a copy of their lesson plans that they would actually be using inside the classroom.
People should also be very wary of working for this company. They offer what seems like a generous hourly pay, $25 for one two hour session a week, but do not tell you that you are responsible for making lesson plans and assignments, which amounts to an additional 5-7 hours a week of UNPAID work. Yes, we all know that teachers are supposed to put in extra time outside of the classrooms, but they are the ones getting a generous salary and benefits.
