I had an amazing experience at Smith Chason College (WCUI). This program gave me the knowledge,…read moreskills, and confidence I needed to start my career in cardiovascular sonography. I would like to sincerely thank my instructors who made a significant impact on my education. Dr. Bhaa, Nisha, Vic, and Dr. Gigi were outstanding instructors in Echocardiography and helped me build a strong foundation in cardiac ultrasound. Their teaching, guidance, and valuable insights improved my knowledge and skills and helped me successfully achieve my RDCS credential. Garenneh and Narenia were amazing instructors in Vascular Lab. Their high standards, attention to detail, and commitment to teaching helped me develop strong scanning skills and a better understanding of vascular ultrasound. Looking back, I truly appreciate their dedication and the level of preparation they provided, because it helped me become more confident and prepared for real clinical work. Sohrab provided excellent Physics instruction and built such a strong foundation that helped me successfully pass the SPI exam with confidence. Kiara also supported me in both Vascular and Physics and played an important role in my learning journey. I would also like to thank Elimira and Soudabeh for their support, encouragement, and the knowledge they shared throughout my program. I truly appreciate the time and effort they dedicated to helping me grow as a student. I am also grateful to all the instructors and staff members who supported me throughout my journey at Smith Chason College. Everyone who contributed to my education played an important role in my growth and success. I would also like to thank Emily Cook and the staff for their continued support and assistance. I highly recommend Smith Chason College (WCUI) to anyone who wants to pursue a career in cardiovascular sonography. Thank you to everyone who was part of my journey!

The ADN program SUCKS!…read more Alot of the staff and professors do NOT care for there students and hinder our success ALOT. The school is super unorganized from finances to registrar with constant mistakes/battles. One of the professors went in about how much they love trump and certain policies which was shocking and super not professional. I came here and paid to learn Professor Swami lies/makes false promises and tells students maybe you shouldn't do nursing in the middle of the program. Of course no school is perfect but this school compared to all others is unprofessional/lazy and ridiculous.

Even 1 start s not deserved for the review. It feels like they have no interest in helping students at all. The communication is so poor that by the time they manage to return your call-if they ever do-you could already be graduating from another school. It's clear that supporting students is not a priority for them. From what I've experienced, they don't seem to care about their image or reputation. The staff are unapproachable, unresponsive, and at times outright disrespectful. It's truly frustrating trying to reach anyone or get basic questions answered, especially Stacy M.

Hello, LA county employee and resident here, just chiming in as someone whose been at other…read morecollegiate level schools and various trade schools. This LAC program is a RARE find and I've highly recommended this program to many people. Please do not get discouraged about applying to this school, we may lack some amenities, but I wanted to set the record straight because false information is not information. 1. We have a student counselor. They are introduced to you at NEW Student Orientation 2. If you need ADA accommodations, please see the office of education for additional information. 3. We have multiple computer rooms and study rooms for students to sign up for. If you need help looking for one, please visit the library or ask the front office for assistance. 4. There are 2 metro lines- 78 and 605. Infront and across the street from the school 5. In terms of safety- this is a CLOSED campus with badge access. Students can park at a free and guarded parking lot structure across the street from campus with badge access. 6. The real world average nurse-to-patient ratio is generally recommended to be one nurse for every four patients but can depend on departments; school is weaning you into real world practice. 7. You can log the documents that you turn in at the front office in a log, if that gives you peace of mind about what youv'e turned in. Please note if office is requesting the same documents various times throughout the year, other internal department within LA county are asking for it so they can provide students with clearance to attend to patients. 8. Lost and found is in front office. 9. This is a full-time course and can be tough; you can do difficult things. Believe in yourself. 10. For anything you sign we retain it in the student or class file- feel free to ask for a copy or come into the office to see it. As an Angelino, I'm hopeful for the future students coming out of this program. I know that with OPEN communication we can improve this program for current and future students. When we look back at the places we've been, I want us all be able to say we left it a little better. I will share comment from user Bella L. to the correct departments in hopes we can change some things. Your confidence with direct patient care will be achieved through experience.

Ma'am Estella Gregory, the president of the school, always made sure that we understood the skills and knowledge needed to become confident and competent CNAs. I would highly recommend LA School of Nursing College to anyone looking to start a career in healthcare and become a CNA.

DO NOT GIVE ESTELA GREGORY ANY OF YOUR MONEY! SHE IS A THIEF…read more This is a warning to anyone looking to be certified as a CNA in Los Angeles. DO NOT enroll at LA School Nursing Career College. I'm currently taking classes for my BSN but decided I wanted to be certified as a CNA so I could work and get hands on experience while studying. This was the closest school to my home and after checking the CDPH website to make sure they were licensed, I called and took a meeting with Estela Gregory the owner and manager of the school. I was only able to do a weekday course due to my parenting schedule. Their website offers weekday classes and Estela confirmed this in our emails and during our in-person meeting where she requested I pay the full cost of the course, $2500, upfront. I knew the cost of the course was higher than others in LA, but it was the closest to my home and offered the hours I needed. She agreed to let me pay $500 for the uniform and textbooks and we agreed I would pay the reminder on the first day of classes. This was in the middle of June and she said the class would start at the start of July. She didn't have an exact start date and said she would get back to me. She would only allow me to pay the fees on cash or via Zelle as she said she was having an issue with her bank POS and wasn't able to accept payments via credit card. She gave me a hand written receipt and said she would be in touch with the start date. There were a few red flags during this meeting, but I could tell from the amount of materials in her office and separate "classroom" that she had had a large school at one time and she had moved to smaller offices at some point. I had also checked beforehand that she was actually licensed and this made me ignore the warning signs that were going off in my brain. I should have listened to my gut. I waited two weeks and still hadn't heard anything from her. I emailed her a few days before the start of July and got no response. I went to her office but each time it was closed and she was not there since it's a month to month rental and it's only her, she goes in when she needs to. A week into July it became clear that she had no intention of contacting me and I let her know via email multiple times that if I didn't hear from her that I would be reporting her to the BBB, CDPH, and taking her to small claims court. She ignored all my communications until she got the notification from the BBB (which she ignored). She finally called to say that she had been locked out of her emails and she is lost the "PIN". Not only did that not make sense, but it didn't explain the ignored calls and post it notes on her office door. She tried to act like nothing was happening and said she was ordering my textbooks and uniform. I demanded a refund for the money I had given her since it was clear there was no class to be paying for in the first place. She said she would need to speak to her supervisor and get back to me. I said on all the documents and website pages it states she is the owner and CEO, so she has no supervisor. Additionally, the bank account I sent the payment to had only her name on it so legally the money went to her and I would like it back. She said she would call me back and hung up. We did this a few times over the month of July and each time she has said she would send me a payment, but I have still not received anything. I have reported her to CDPH so they can review the issue and hopefully revoke her license so she can't do this to anyone else. I am in the process of small claims court and my ultimate goal is to let others know what happened to me so it doesn't happen to them. Estela Gregory is not an honest person and will flat out steal your money. The audacity that she asked for the whole $2500 upfront....I have since seen one review from another person that says she has done the same to them. DO NOT GIVE THIS WOMAN ANY OF YOUR MONEY! Hope this helps someone.
