I rearranged my schedule to make it work, only to be told the morning of the tour that the spot had already been given to someone else. At no point was I informed that the spot was being offered to multiple families or that it could be taken before my tour. If I had known, I would have acted faster or asked for an earlier tour. This lack of communication felt unprofessional and left me feeling misled and inconvenienced. Families deserve transparency when it comes to something as important as childcare spots.

I can't believe I haven't written a review for Lullaboo after my child has been going here since…read moreshe was 18 months! I only have good things to say about Lullaboo. All the staff are so supportive, caring, and friendly to the children. The variety of meals they offer are prepared on site and are all high quality and nutritious. There are no unhealthy foods like pizza or chicken nuggets. Lullaboo also offers additional fun activities throughout the year like a musician coming, a gym bus, and a petting zoo. Lullaboo is part of the subsidized government funding so that really helps out all parents. It's bittersweet that our Lullaboo journey is over but I'm so glad we had the chance to experience it.

The teachers at this location are really sweet and have been so good at getting my son adjusted to being away from Momma. He is one of the youngest students and didn't express himself very well verbally before he joined. In just two months he is talking in larger sentences, cleaning up his toys (sort of) and putting on his own jacket! The teachers have been helping him potty train at school...seriously, thats the nicest thing! Its not a super fancy school by any means but its comfortable and the children are always happy. I am really lucky that I got him into this Montessori :)

The…read moreMontessori taught him to be responsible for himself (eating on his own, wearing shoes/jackets, etc) and his toys/books and nurtured his love of learning and reading. Since he was a bright child, they let him explore and taught him things at his pace, that other 3 year old's were not exposed to. Their way of teaching, especially phonetics and spelling is simply amazing and even today my son can spell and pronounce any unknown word almost correctly, 9 out of 10 times. Ms Ursula and Ms. Arifa and the rest of teachers at that time did a wonderful job with my son and all of the students there. My son was always happy and excited to go to school and simply loved being there all day.

The teachers are attentive, weather pending the kids go outside up to twice a day and play. The food is balanced and prepared right on site. The place is clean and from all the teaches we have had they notice every little sniffle, bump or bruise. A detailed daily report card is sent home with all food eaten and amounts as well as daily events and activities. Teachers mirror milestones you are working on at home such a potty training etc. Over all we have been very impressed. One major frustration- like most schools, Lullaboo's parking for pick up/ drop off is tight and limited on peek times.

We reserved a spot for my daughter in early spring to attend in September. There were many flexible options presented to us, including half days, and as many days of the week as needed. We signed her up for three days per week, and the centre sent us an agreement, took our deposit, and confirmed her spot was secure. A little over a month before school was set to begin, they called us and told us the centre needs changed and they will only accept our daughter if we are willing to pay 5 days a week. We had previously budgeted and made arrangements with our other child for three days a week and weren't able to do this. Moreover, due to the late notice, all other daycares were full. The centre said the needs had changed (i.e. more people were willing to pay for 5 days per week) and that they wouldn't take her unless we paid the additional funds. They are greedy, unprofessional, and unapologetic in the way they dealt with us. This was all before school even started, so I cannot imagine the lack of compassion they will have when dealing with children in their care. Because of their greed and unprofessionalism, my daughter now has nowhere to attend daycare, and we are struggling to find an alternative childcare solution. None of this mattered to these people. I highly discourage anyone from sending their children to this centre or this company.

It is spacious yet cozy and welcoming, with many interesting free play activity centres (sand, water, paint, cut & glue etc.) set up around the room that encourage the children to explore and interact. Circle time include storytelling and songs, usually connected to the current theme. The 2 ECE teachers, along with parent helpers and support workers, are always friendly, cheerful, affectionate and attentive. We especially love the imaginative themes they use as a basis for the children's learning, enriched by regular field trips visiting places such as a pumpkin patch, sugar bush, the ROM's dinosaur galleries. Parent involvement is welcome and the co-op aspect is efficiently run. Safety and cleanliness are emphasized. Posters, schedules, notices, meetings, special parties and events keep parents fully informed. A bonus is the beautiful playground and Brookmede Park that borders the school.
