WARNING to all parents considering this daycare. The owner(s) of this Montessori are unethical and…read morebehave like money scammers. They require a first and last month fee up front but did not return the full last month fee even though they did not provide any childcare services in the last month beyond our control. In my case, I paid first and last month up front for the Sept 2019 to June 2020 school year. However, the pandemic shut down schools in mid-March for the remainder of the school year. They refused to refund back our money paid for the last month of June despite their being an order from the government that requires them to do so. Their excuse is that the last month fee we paid can cover the fee for Sept 2020 when the school re-opens and since we choose not to enroll our child in Sept then we don't get our full refund back. Our child started JK this Sept in public school and we never had the intention to have her attend Montessori for JK and we had previously made the school aware of this. We are shocked at how shamelessly they take our hard-earned money and put it in their own pocket by trying to hide behind some ill-conceived justification which does not apply in our circumstances where the school was shutdown. Yet they still took this opportunity to steal our last month's fee. After some months of persistent emails and a threat to report them, we were only refunded a portion of the last month pmt but not the full amt. The owners are just crooks as far as I am concerned and took advantage of a pandemic to steal some money from their customers intended for childcare that they did not provide. It is beyond me to understand how they dare keep even a single dollar of a customer's money paid for childcare that they are not entitled to. I recommend you do not risk your money with this school as there can always be a future pandemic or situation that comes up in which case your last month fee will be stolen.

Our family enrolled our 2-year-11-month-old daughter at Rowntree Montessori Downtown in September…read more2025 with high hopes. Sadly, within a month, we withdrew her due to repeated concerns about how she was being treated and how the school handled communication. Our daughter went from being confident and joyful to withdrawn and anxious, even having nightmares about being reprimanded and about another child who repeatedly hit her -- incidents we were never informed of until we asked. The school's approach to discipline relied heavily on timeouts, with little emotional coaching or empathy. We were also shocked by some of the principal's remarks, including, "Some parents even hit their children to teach discipline." The environment felt rigid and developmentally inappropriate for such young children. While the school did mention that they do not offer naps, they never explained that they also would not assist in the transition away from them. Although our daughter had already transitioned out of naps before joining, she began struggling again due to the long, structured, and tiring school days. Instead of recognizing this as an adjustment issue, the teachers were uncooperative and placed the blame on us as parents. Ironically, after we withdrew and raised our concerns with the Head of Education, we were told, "You should have told us -- we could have set up a resting corner for her, like we do for other children at our Academy campus." Hearing that after the fact was incredibly disappointing and showed how much miscommunication and lack of empathy there had been. We hope Rowntree Montessori takes this feedback seriously and re-evaluates how it supports its youngest learners. Parents -- please ask detailed questions about teacher qualifications, discipline methods, and communication practices before enrolling your child.

I am writing about Rowntree Montessori Schools, Sunforest Dr., Brampton…read more One of the worst school I have seen. The atmosphere is so mechanic which mean that they have no idea how to relate with younger kids. They want to build machines and which are followed as it is. Discipline is good but not to the extent it looses any kind of compassion. They don't have enough staff and fees is so high. Everything is charged so high. Parents get feeling that they are sending kids to high tech school initially but its not even a school. It's a machine factory . Its more of a show off school than actual school where you can make mistakes and learn from it and grow. You have to be like a machine to sustain in that environment. Just follow them. If they can not handle you bcz you are not machine, you will be kicked out by making horrible reasons. Bcz they don't have enough staff, they can not pay attention, bcz they can not pay attention, they don't want you. Parents will be made to feel like as if their child has a problem but in reality they have a problem. They don't want to nurture kids and make difference. Their principal Mr. Harris looks gentleman from face and when you talk but in reality he is so cunning. He will talk to you and show your kid has all the problem so you take that kid out of the school bcz kid is not for that environment. I had worst experience with that person where he intimidated us and told that he knows other ways to throw out kid if kid is not taken out by itself bcz kid is not fit for the school and he can do that. He also said no one will question him. Whereas he himself has stage frightness where i have seen his hands shaking while addressing audience in annual day. So that means is he not good for that role? we don't judge people like that but he surely judge kids like that which is shameful and teachers also who does that and report horrible things about kids bcz they themselves doesn't want to take any extra effort. I wont blame them too bcz they are so much under-payed. Schools should be good enough to provide supportive environments to all the kids where they can grow. Kids should enjoy every moment in the school. It should be the safest environment other than their home. Sadly this school is not that and I am happy that we found much better school than this. This school just wants to look lucrative but I ask parents is that what you want ...sending kids to lucrative schools and turn them into machines. They should enjoy their childhood and grow happily.

The facility is very neat, clean and well stocked with a great variety of toys and activities! There is also a large grass park adjacent to the facility, which they often use. The odd time that our son would get hurt or have a problem with another child, we were immediately informed of the details and what was done to solve the problem. I was always impressed with the way they handled any and all situations that arose. Regardless of anything, he would come home happy every day! After reading the poor review left here by someone else, it seems like their child has personal problems that aren't the daycare's fault. I wouldn't pay much attention to that review since my wife and I have never known anyone to have a negative thing to say about Ladybug daycare. My wife and I are very much looking forward to enrolling our youngest son when he becomes old enough to attend!

The staff is very kind and gentle with the children, always playing with them and keeping a close eye. As you know, children can be reckless and on multiple occasions my son has been pushed or kicked by another toddler, the teacher automatically notified me of this, ensuring me that the other parent was notified as well. This is just one of the ways the staff at this daycare differ greatly from other ones. 2. The food is catered and organic, all a parent can ask for for their children is for them to eat well and healthy. They offer a menu in which I can keep track of everything that my son is eating and it is very beneficial for me to work around. 3. The children spend a lot of time outdoors, they exercise and play. They are not confined within the walls of the daycare but rather gets fresh air throughout the day. My son is very energetic, so being able to go outside is a perfect way for him to play to the fullest of his extent and explore the world around him. 4. Finally, the environment that he is surrounded by is full of learning, music, care and fun, all of which are needed in the development of children. When my child comes home singing new songs and telling me about his day, I know for sure that I have chosen the right day care from him and plan to enroll my second son there as well, it is much recommended. -Branislav V.
