If you are considering this printer, please take the time to read this as it is a real, holistic review that is completely fair.
I am an apparel startup founder and I found Creative Marx online after seeing so many positive reviews. I thoroughly read every review here on Yelp, intricately dissected their website to find examples of their work, familiarize myself with their operation, and ultimately, educate myself on the company. I was so impressed by the reviews and positive "buzz" surrounding the company, I went so far as to cease my search for a printer immediately, feeling very comfortable moving forward with Creative Marx. I figured, shoot, if this many people think they're good, they must be, right?
Wrong.
To begin, I called the Creative Marx office one day when I got off work early, and asked if I could potentially stop by on my way home to ask some questions that were pertinent to my business, should I decide to use Creative Marx. The owner told me that I needed to have an appointment, which was totally fair, because she was under staffed. Unfortunately, when I struggled to find an agreeable day with her on the phone, I was surprised that she didn't say something to the effect of "You know what, if we can keep it quick, come on by. We'll get you all taken care of." Instead, she sat in silence as I struggled to find a time to meet with her. After I said, "I don't think I will be able to make it out any other day, she said, "sorry, I just don't have the time to spend with you today." Interesting. Since when do small businesses not go out of their way to help a customer? I'm an entrepreneur myself and if one of my customers needed me to go the extra mile, I'd go 2!
So, when I got home, I emailed her my questions. I didn't receive a response for four days so I called the office, hoping to get ahold of someone. I received their voicemail. I left a detailed message with my call-back information. It has been three days and I have yet to hear from them via phone OR email. Wow.
I decided to look elsewhere for a reliable, timely printer who has time for their clients. I came across Embroidme-Irvine. The owner of that business was a 180 degree turnaround from the Creative Marx owner. He actually took time on the phone with me, sent me quotes immediately, and asked if he could "earn my business." That was an immediate sign of a veteran business owner. Christine, the owner at Creative Marx was rushed, overwhelmed, and frankly rude. She didn't give me the time of day and she just lost my business. I look forward to directing all of my contacts away from Creative Marx.
If your needs are not time-sensitive and you don't need to hear from the folks at Creative Marx but maybe once in a blue moon, they might be a suitable option for you. If however, you have deadlines, which most people do, I would highly suggest you look elsewhere.
