We had some artificial turf installed this week and we are very pleased with the outcome. We recently adopted two puppies and they destroyed what was left of the lawn so we had to get something that could stand up to their playful ways. Don was responsive and professional and his team did a great job, even with some last minute things i wanted. I'm really surprised reading some of the negative comments here. I called Creative Landscape designs and asked for an estimate for a backyard project involving artificial turf. Seemed most companies didn't have time to come buy, but Don was here the next morning. He was friendly, courteous and professional. We went over my project. He was great at listening to what we wanted and when done presented u with a written proposal. He said they were about 2 weeks out on work, but ended up only a week away. His crew showed up one afternoon as they finished a job early. They did the prep wok and finished the next day. The crew was very friendly and courteous. They didn't mess around and got with it and answered a few of my questions as they went. They did a great job on clean up before they left. Overall I am very pleased with the job! Thank you Don and crew! I had to laugh when I read the comments about Don being pushy on payment. He contacted me upon job completion and payment was made. All handled over the phone by his office staff. Easy stuff. These guys don't work for free and have expense that have to be met. I have no hesitation in recommending Don and his company to anyone. We had Creative Landscape Designs put in artificial turf and redo some of our flowerbeds in October 2022. Don was recommended by a neighbor. We should have read the reviews before hiring him. (Our mistake) He was overpriced but we wanted it done right so we went ahead with him because the neighbors artificial turf looked great. So he gave us our estimate with the same turf he used on the neighbors yard. He tells us the day they are getting ready to lay the turf that he couldn't get the turf we order so this one is closest/comparable. (First red flag) They started on a Wednesday, on Friday He ask for part of the bill to be paid for the work they had done thus far!? And we had ask to pay by credit card and he insisted we pay him cash (2nd red flag) He said we could pay the balance with credit card. Next, they laid out the backyard and got my approval and then he added granite to make part of it higher and laid the turf! I called him that evening when I got home because I couldn't believe what I saw and said, what did you do!? I told you yesterday that what you had was perfect. He said, it was a misunderstanding he thought we wanted it higher. Then tells me if he has to take the granite out he will have to charge us! (3rd red flag) My wife had to ask him to add a plant to fill an open space and they didn't plant the scrubs in the front flower bed evenly! Then when they laid the bark it was a thin layer. Plus he was telling the guys to hurry up and get done he had another job to do! (Another red flag ) The final straw he wanted the balance in cash!!! We had to call him back out to fix a few things and we were thankful they did it. Don customer service was a bit unprofessional. We were so disappointed with him and their work. So I hired Creative in August 2019 we had just bought a new house. The price was a bit expensive but, they responded quickly and installed our entire yard about 3,000 sqft yard with sprinkler and drip in a week. They where awesome. The guys who worked on it where so freaking nice too. Only reason they are getting 4 starts was because it was a bit pricey and some of the plants they planted didn't make it after the 6 month period and I've had to plant some on my own. read more

I had several companies do an estimate for my place and this company came in the lowest by far. They came an hour late the first day (8). They worked til 2 pm, took out a bush they were not supposed to take out but this did not concern me too much. They came the second day at 8 and worked until 12 - said the truck broke down and they had to leave. The third day they finished. I had to call them back out because of shoddy work. Exposed hose, one that they supposedly removed was still attached and laying across the sidewalk. Roots were sticking up all over. The rock I had in the flower beds was covered with dirt. They moved big rocks that I had in place and did not put them back. I had a windmill, not sure why they moved it, but they left it in the bushes and I am disabled and could not move it back. they tore up my grass and put big grooves in it from the tractor. The threw dirt on top of it and called that fixed. If I were younger and not disabled, I could just fix these problems but I am not and will have to hire someone to do it, as I was not inclined to argue and have them keep coming out. I don't know if the other companies that gave much higher bids would have done a good job or if this is what you can expect from all. The drip system they put in has exposed hose all over and the "filter" for the drip looks tacky. I don't know if this is typical but I wouldn't use them again. When items are brought to Don's attention he just says, "That is what you said." "The grass will grow back!" You can't get all the roots!" I don't expect to have to Supervise people when I pay to have a job done, that is Don's job and he should be at the site doing it. read more

The only good thing is they show up on time. They installed my turf. First of all we agreed on 585 sq ft (per contract) but ended up installing 300 sq ft, when I approached Don with it. He blamed it on me, saying that I looked over the sketch (never seen the sketch). Even if I would have seen it, it is not my responsibility to measure the sketch to make sure the dimensions are what was discussed. When they added a second piece of turf (which originally supposed to be one piece) they told me I won't see the cut. I was frustrated but I accepted to leave with it. Two weeks later after the rain. I discovered that my turf had bunch of voids over the previous trenches they dug for irrigation pipes. I asked to have it repaired. They showed up made bunch of cuts in the middle of the turf filled it, and told me that this is how they make repairs. And I won't see the cuts. This is not supposed to be a repair. IT WAS A NEW INSTALL!!! read more

We hired Creative Landscape to demo and put sod and sprinklers in our backyard and then demo and some basic low maintenance landscaping in our front yard. Overall we had a great experience and would use them again if we needed. There were a few hiccups, such as a sprinkler head of ours was broken during demolition of the front yard and was not brought to our attention and a post that was being used as a border around our planter was haphazardly cut during installation instead of trying to make it leveled. However on both occasions when it was brought to their attention it was fixed without any issues to satisfaction. We had quite a few people come out to provide estimates and they were definitely on the more affordable end than a few of the others. They also were able to schedule and get the work completed a lot faster. Other companies told us it would be like a 2 week process where as Creative Landscape got it finished in 3 working days. read more

I contacted several companies for adding a back patio. No one would contact me back except for this company. Therefore, I felt like I would go with them although I found them to be quite expensive. The owner Don was very nice and did an estimate for the work. We wound up doing half the job since it was so much money and one thing I wanted to do was remove a shed, which Don told me he would not do. I got a quote and then decided to do the patio a little bit smaller. They did not take anything off the price. This should have been a red flag for me. Once work began, they were prompt and the workers were friendly. They created a border, for which I thought could be removed. This is not the case. The border for the paver patio is awful. It's 2 x 4's in bad condition. There is unfinished wood holding it in place and I will have to eventually have to hire someone to fix this. The patio itself looks nice. They also butchered the grass surrounding it but did lay seed to help replenish. Secondly, the owner Don is pretty aggressive with the payment. I wanted to use a credit card for liability reasons but he just showed up for a check. He said that he doesn't like being charged for credit cards. I paid by check. After the work was done, he was by for the final check immediately. Interesting because most companies email or mail an invoice. The guy was right on my doorstep in no time at all. In fact, I think he rushed to the bank to deposit it. Therefore, I wonder why. To get my money before I noticed the terrible border? Anyway, I would not recommend them. read more

If you want to feel violated and taken advantage for years, I recommend Creative Landscaping. We paid almost ten grand for a few big rocks and a few plants. Not only were the plants I wanted to replace kept there, they added more. The side and hell strips were incomplete and the mulch he used didn't even cover the landscape completely. I'm reminded of the mistake we made by using Creative Landscaping EVERY DAY! Don't use them. It's been almost three years and I still feel sick to my stomach. My neighbors all have beautiful yards, with retainer walls, concrete, beautiful plants and they paid the fraction of the cost. I talk to the receptionist at Creative Landscaping Designs on the phone, & tell her exactly what I need, that I need some dirt hauled away & loaded onto my large dump trailer & some relocated on my property. She sends out Don who tells me he is not interested in my job, that I need somebody with a loader & dump truck, ok yes I know that & tells me I can't haul the dirt on my trailer. I wanted to give an update on the kind of company you will be dealing with if you hire them. After meeting with Don (owner) a couple times to resolve all the problems wrong with the work he did he still has done nothing. Last time I spoke to him he walked away from me because he didn't like what I had to say. Said, "We'll see what we can do". It has been six months and we have not heard from him. I since then hired a lawyer, sent demand letters (which apparently he didn't get one of them), I have reported him to the better business bureau. All of this to no avail because he is not required to respond and therefore that's where it stops unless I want to spend thousands of dollars to take him to court. And he knows this of course. This man is taking advantage of the fact that we're all struggling due to covid-19 and knows it'll be hard to come up with the money to take him to court. We spent over $16,000 on this project. We worked hard to be able to make our house beautiful. But instead, we met the wrong man and were taken advantage of. He not only came and completed a bad job but also damaged my existing property. Splattered my brand new stucco walls with the concrete he poured, left me with a broken fence that was never put back up correctly, bent my rain gutters, and the list goes on. All without caring to fix any of it. Mind you we had given him a second chance to re-pour some of the concrete. Second time was worse than the first and on top of that he ruined the existing concrete with lots of concrete splatter from the second pour. All we want is what's right. Whether that's in the form of a refund or fixing everything, the right way. Please please be wary when considering to use this company. If anyone on here has had similar problems with this company and the owner please feel free to contact me. We can potentially file a joint lawsuit against him. Statue of limitations is 4yrs after date of completion of the job. He already has three lawsuits against him for similar issues that we recently just found out about. One has been dismissed but two are still pending. This man is taking people's money, doing bad work, and does not care because he knows unless he's taken to court, he doesn't have to do anything. Had them do the front and back yard and left them alone to do the job. After they were paid and we started looking at the work that was done, we were shocked. They damaged the drip system in the front so that it no longer works and leaks constantly. The front and back lawn were uneven and choppy with sod higher in some areas than other areas and they left huge awkward gaps when they laid the sod. I did not even get an aftercare guide and when I asked for one via email, the lady was quite rude and unpleasant. Just for fun we then has another landscaper come and bid what creative already did and we were bid half of the cost from two different landscapers in the area. read more

I am so pleased with the installation of synthetic grass in my backyard. Beautiful work and done very quickly.

Very poor quality of work. Left the back lawn very choppy with dents and divots everywhere. Had them put in a 10 by 10 concrete slab for a shed. Later, when the shed was installed, came to find they didn't measure correctly. Now the shed hangs way off the concrete in multiple places. How hard could it be to measure off a 10x10 square? read more

My experience with Creative Landscape Design has been horrible. The owner (Don) really doesn't care about the quality of the workmanship. All he seemed concerned with is getting paid, not customer satisfaction. I had a few plants and a tree that needed to be replaced. Getting customer support was extremely difficult. For the money I paid, I expected a lot better service. Stay far away--there are many other landscape companies in the valley that do better work for less money. read more

This is an absolutely terrible landscape company. They landscaped my unfinished backyard, and it's been nothing but disaster. Often, the types of plants and trees they installed were completely unsuitable for the climate and placement in my yard. The drip system was hastily installed--some of my plants drowned with too much water, and others died from lack of water. They seemed to cut every corner they possibly could instead of doing a good job. Customer service is non-existent. The owner (Don) simply doesn't care about customer satisfaction or quality of workmanship. They never once returned a phone call. I have tried politely to get my problems fixed, but I am simply ignored. I ended up hiring another company to fix all their mistakes--now my backyard looks great. I'm only giving one star because the only thing they did right was show up on time and if they weren't coming that day, I did receive a call. However, we were extremely disappointed with the finished product. In addition, the fact that I received 7 phone calls in a matter of two hours from the owner and staff wanting their last payment when the work wasn't finished was complete harassment. We paid a lot of money to have a nice backyard, but that's not what we got. There are so many other landscaping companies out there so I would suggest using one of them. read more
