Katia and Sara have both been her teachers, and she has felt happy and supported with all of them. Like with many activities at this age, it took a couple of weeks for her to fully adjust and feel familiar with the environment but consistency made a big difference. As parents, we appreciate seeing her come home excited and proud of what she created. It is easy to notice how much she has progressed over time and we get very excited when we see her project. We also appreciate the communication style of the school. They provide a high-level overview each week of what the kids will be working on, which keeps parents informed without overwhelming us with too much information. On the administrative side, tuition payments and renewals are simple, and the staff has always been friendly and helpful whenever we have had questions or needed help resolving any mistakes on our part. We also love the location. Depending on the day and who is with me, it is easy to wait nearby at the library, a coffee shop, or a restaurant while class is in session.

There will be themed activities in every festival, such as the past Halloween, where children are asked to draw on a blank wooden box, then paint it with relevant colors, and finally decorate it with colored plasticine, which is a very novel idea. The kids love it, too. Another example is to prepare for Christmas, the teacher lets the child paint on a blank Christmas stocking, painted with the child's favorite color, to give the child an unforgettable childhood memory. All the children had such a fun time and the parents thought the event had purpose. We had 12 kids and their parents as our guests. The new outdoor space is perfect especially during covid. Masks are still encouraged even outdoors, which made our guests feel safe. I met with Lindsay for a tour of the new location space and booked it immediately a few months prior to the party date. Lindsay was helpful with answering all my questions via email. They set up so many art and sensory stations that the kids didn't even get to do all of them. There was a good variety of different activities, something for everyone. We added an add on activity to the birthday package which was an instructor led project. Originally, my son picked potions but after Yoissy inquired about my son's interest, she came up with an intricate volcano project. She was so engaging and taught the kids/parents how to make a volcano with mixed media and then do the science experiment. It was so creative and fun! We even went over our time limit for a whole hour. Thank you Yoissy and staff for your extra time and patience with the kiddos! We also brought our own decorations and snacks/cupcakes. However, if you want to use their decorations, it's really cute if you don't have a specific theme. The staff was also super helpful the entire day. I could not be happier with how well the party went and highly recommend having a toddler's birthday here! Please note that the new location is on 1371 9th Avenue, not Judah. Parking is limited in the Inner Sunset, but it's nice that there's a loading zone in front of the Messy Art Lab.

He loves art, but he especially loved this experience so much that he was asking me if it's possible to continue it during the weekend and the following week instead of going back to school :D The kids got plenty of outdoor time, visited a museum and made so many amazing DIY things ranging from keychains, bead necklaces, lanterns, soap(!), coasters, badges, stamps (yes, *made* stamps - I didn't even know this was possible), bookmarks, paintings along with a frame, sketches at the museum, an easter bunny house, and a bunch more things! Of course, he would come back with a whole range of DIY crafts each day, but more importantly, with such enriching experiences that he would narrate to me in a great level of detail - how they went to a new park, drew paintings at the museum, tried a jigsaw puzzle that was too hard, how you need to be safe by wearing protecting gloves, what the protocol is if you see a coyote and on and on...this is what I mean when I said he wouldn't stop talking about it! Clearly, Najin takes great care in ensuring that the kids are safe, yet engaged and always learning. While he didn't get to go close to any equipment, my son knew exactly what happened when the clay was baked in the oven or the beads were ironed over so he got to observe and learn. We also got tons of great pictures and updates from Najin for the camp. My son will definitely be going back here again!

My kids are very different in temperament and interest and this is the single camp they both want to do over and over again and so do their friends. Kelly and all the counselors as so nurturing of children's natural curiosity and desire to explore both in the studio and out in nature. As an arts and crafts lover myself, I wish I could hang out in the art studio, it is truly a magical space. I'm not sure what the prior counselor review was about, but I personally have found the counselors to be extremely skilled, the space very clean, and my kids feel very well cared for.

Her workspace is very unorganized. She wants her counselors and the children to go outside in the rain and eat their lunch. Regardless on how cold it is or even if it's pouring down rain she's not equipped to run a summer camp because I don't think she has any children to even know how to treat children, nor does She respect her staff, and take what they've learned in consideration. She has no morals or no respect for those and I would like to say I was the only African-American person that was working in that facility . I wouldn't send my kid there if I were you. Due to how poorly she is regardless of her background and she went to school for this particular business. She does not know how to run her business.

I just completed a 4 week intuitive painting course with Claudia yesterday & it's been interesting…read more& powerful experience. I initially found the center through an instagram ad that was advertising their free open studio & decided to check it out. The intuitive painting course is not your typical course. The focus is being in community, learning to listen in & lean into your own intuition & creativity. There's no formal technique, no critiques or comments, but there is a lot of guidance & prompts to help you tap into your creative spirit. The goal is to create a painting from within & quiet the inner critic. It's about the process of letting go of "perfection" & to be create whatever comes up. It may sound a little woo-woo but the beauty of this process is that there's no right or wrong or good or bad painting - it's about your experience. If you're still unsure, I'd recommend dropping into a class to see what it's about. I definitely plan to take more classes in the new year.
