Sam, his foreman Hassan, and their workers brought great insight and were patient and thoughtful, taking their time to help us make good decisions on everything from grout finish... to lighting, glass selections and tile. We finished the project just a couple of days over estimate (if you have renovated, you will know that this is remarkable) and exactly on budget (virtually unheard of). We laughed, we bickered - by the time they were done, I knew that I would miss them. Sam and Hassan were terrific to work with, dedicated professionals who actually care what the finished product looks like. My only quibble is that Sam decided to add things to the job on his own and then wanted me to pay for them. I know that sounds unprofessional but he was actually right to do them when everything was open. Finding the extra $ to pay for them has been a hassle but, in retrospect, I am glad we did them. I recently stopped there hoping to get my bike looked at ... 2 minutes later I'm out the door with the gears oiled up and ready to hit the streets. No up-selling. No overpriced fees. No long waiting times for what was a simple task. Just honest, warm service, which has been a consistent thing over the past 15 years I've been a customer here. If you want general household supplies (light bulbs, etc.), they'll have it. If you need to get your bike repaired, they can do that. If need keys cuts, they've got you. All in all they're great for all purpose hardware needs. Prices are reasonable across the board. Selection of basic items (screws, brushes, etc.) is better actually than a lot of other stores for practical purposes, and they can accurately advise you on actually performing basic tasks unlike most places. I highly recommend them over the place up the block. Don't let the rough exterior give you pause; these guys will treat you right.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the Two brothers running the place. I walked in at 7pm and they were due to close at 8. They showed me all different types and colors of carpet, went over pricing and went above and beyond to explain all the world of carpet entails. I made an arrangement to have my apt measured for carpet and within a week of first walking in, I had the carpet installed. Mr Levy always went above and beyond, closing late to accommodate my schedule, being flexible in price to accommodate my needs. They showed up on time and was out in less than 4 hours. After many years of use it had shifted in alignment and the top and bottom hinges needed help. I called 6 companies in the neighborhood and was met with exorbitant service quotes or time delays. Bottom line: you spend a lot for your dream kitchen to get poor workmanship with little if any accountability, remediation and compensation with lots of aggravation Ordered quartz countertop and backsplash. Came measured prior to installation. Did not install on date promised. Came next day but they didn't measure correctly. First there is an uneven slab of over a 1/4 difference from one end to the other. No one will notice unless you have a great eye or take out a tape measure. More importantly the slap behind sink was totally mis-measured. They Asked if we wanted wall cut out in order to fit! . Took back and resized. Somewhere during that process they cracked a corner and fixed with glue. We went back and forth until finally came back and they blamed contractor for filling in crack. They did fill in to blend, results not perfect. Thankfully in a corner no one will see. I was a bit hesitant but went ahead with visiting them in store and working with John directly. John was create, and kept in communication at all times. He also provided his supplier for us to pick out our slab as well. We built an outside bbq island and needed install, everything went smooth for our delivery. As a backup I asked my contractor to be present at delivery, which was good because he did point out a few things. In the end everyone worked together and the island looks great.
