I learned so much technically (drawing, patternmaking, and designing) while also learning a lot about myself. The atmosphere of the studio is fantastic, it was such a safe place to come to after school. Irina really listens to you and tries to understand who you are while also helping you discover that as well. I am immensely grateful for my time in Nefda and will forever hold it dear in my heart. If you're interested in receiving a pre college class or you just want to sew a dress I highly recommend coming to this school.

We just completed one of their summer camps though that was a completely different experience. They had 26 campers in a tiny room with 5 staff members. Kyle unfortunately left the company that week and my daughter went from loving it to coming home crying every day. When I confronted Irina, I was told that they had 26 kids and just could not cope, which I understood, however taking on that many kids is completely in her control, so it is therefore hard to understand why it happened. That being said the thing that insulted me the most was that she said that my child was used to having everything done for her at home which is why she wasn't capable of finishing her dress on her own. She is actually a really good student that requires very little help with tasks or learning something new but the reality is she is 8 - and relatively new to sewing - which is why she was struggling. In the end her 9 year old friend had to pin her in to the dress for the fashion show. I hate writing this review as under Kyle's leadership, it was such a magical place. I would think twice about sending your younger child here and if you do, make sure there are no more than 12 in the class.

I am very relieved that my daughter is no longer attending. The highlight of our experience was a few of the lead teachers and teacher assistants who genuinely cared about the children. I truly appreciate their dedication. I also want to recognize Sajida, who was always welcoming and kind. Unfortunately, that level of care did not feel consistent throughout the school. In my experience, the center director Ms Set was difficult to communicate with. There were times when I felt my concerns were not taken seriously, which left me feeling unheard. My daughter also shared that she sometimes felt certain staff members were overly harsh with her. I was also concerned by incidents involving children pushing or shoving one another, and I did not always feel those situations were addressed as thoroughly as I expected. The classrooms themselves were cared for by the teachers, who I often saw wiping tables and mopping floors. However, the overall building did not appear to be maintained to the same standard. During my visits, I noticed dust buildup around the air vents and felt the facility could benefit from more thorough routine cleaning and maintenance. Given how easily illnesses spread among young children, this was disappointing. Another concern was the frequent staff turnover. It seemed like there were constantly new faces, making it difficult to feel there was consistency in my child's care. At times, some classrooms also appeared to be led by very young staff members, which made me question the level of experience available. Finally, I attended the recent graduation ceremony and personally felt the Hollywood theme was NOT the best choice for an early childhood celebration. A bit inappropriate if you ask me. Overall, this center was not the right fit for our family. For the tuition being charged, I believe there are cleaner, more modern centers with stronger communication and greater consistency. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this daycare.

However, after the first day I was very happy with how the staff was with my daughter and helping her transition into the new setting. The daycare is a perfect fit for my children's needs. Here I am 2019 and I now have my second child enroll into Smarty Pants Daycare. Both my children love and loved the daycare. The teachers listen to your concerns and needs for your children and always address and answer any and all questions I have or had. They expose the children to art, music, reading, writing, math. Its such a great place. Im super impressed with the program and how much learning goes on there. Its not just naps and play time. Next year I will be enrolling my 3rd child. They had several teachers that were great throughout but a few of the new teachers were nothing but subpar. My daughter became ill one day and her teacher ignored her raised hand for 10 minutes before allowing her to go to the nurse... alone! The school is on the 4th floor... what if she fell. She mentioned she was not feeling well to the guidance counselor as well, who also sent her downstairs. They tried to call me but I missed the initial call. The nurse eventually told her she could either sit in the main office or return to class. Return to class?! The school is on the 4th floor! What happens if she falls?! She ended up having a virus and out for several days. I tried to call to complain and the parent coordinator lied about the principal leaving town. My husband ended up walking in without an appointment to find him there and made them talk to him. I also filed a 311 complaint. The algebra teacher was inexperienced and failed thesem of teaching. They talk to you like you are stupid but guess what...I have a Master's degree. Please don't. I tried to talk to the principal but again the parent coordinator managed to block us and other parents from meeting with him. Even the students created a petition to remove the teacher. My daughter passed her regents but only because I had to pay for private tutoring. I do not recommend this school.

The keynote speaker spoke of his ex wives and "baby mamas ", this annoyed me as my wife and I believe in the core of marriage and family. This set a horrible example to our children. Parents if you have a choice, choose a better school. We want better for our children, lead by example. #DoBetter
