If you can get an appt with a barber who doesn't cancel all the time, you can prob get a good cut…read more At $30 a cut, you'd think these guys are looking to make a career out of this, and they can!...if they show up for their appointments. Been taking my son here for over a year, too many cancelations of appointments and I'm finally done. Ownership should care more about this as it gives a bad name to the establishment. I presume the barbers are "independent contractors". Still looks bad. If this were a women's salon, woulda been out of business by now with the cancelations & no-shows. No consideration barbers who always got "something" going on or are "sick" and don't contact their clients or if the do its half an hour AFTER the appointment.

Ok... Let me start off by saying that I'm an unbiased straight shooter and my reviews prove it…read more When it comes to my hair, I'm very anal. Since I moved back a year ago since evacuating for Katrina, I've had a hell of a time finding someone who can actually cut mens hair like a Pro. The biggest problem when it comes to mens hair stylist/barber is that 99% of them are limited in skills. What I mean by that is that some barbers are great with clippers and blade but can't style with shears. Some women are great with shears but can't edge with a blade.., and so forth. To make matters worst... Most hair stylist and barbers are cocky and see themselves on top of their game. They think they're the best and can't take constructive criticism or aren't happy when you ask for a style that requires skills outside their expertise. This guy Imad can shear, fade(clippers), edge(blade) and even thread(eyebrows). I'm not saying he's the BEST... But he's the best I've found in Kenner/Metairie/New Orleans area. I've been back in New Orleans for a year now and without exaggerating I've been to atleast 12 different barbers and stylist; spanish, black, arab, women, gay, etc...all limited in skill. Especially those franchise places like Sports Clips are the worst because they're not allowed to use blades. Imad is a well rounded barber and besides impressing me ... I've never walked out feeling like my hair could be better. Aside from that. This is an actual barbershop. Not a salon. Only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars... It needs a shampoo girl.

A real BARBER, and a vrais-Cajun one at that! Mr. Guillot does traditional haircuts of all styles. He offers other typical "barber" services, too. Women't haircuts, too. Ervin is quite a genuine "characteur" and a real Cajun, from Pierre Part, Louisiana, on the eastern edges of our great Atchafalaya Swamp. He has at least one corny joke per customer. He remembers your name and your preferences in haircuts. Local sports events are shown on large TV's, but there is no cocktail bar or pedicurist. Prices are reasonable, $15 for a regular man's haircut. If you aren't a "Girly Man", this is the place for you! Don't miss this anachronistic but extremely pleasant place & Barber. Rick

You can just feel the years and years of fades, clips and cuts emanating out of the walls of this joint. Now, the wait is a little long, but this aint Supercuts. Good conversation, a great cut, an eye to detail the Dapper Don Draper would have loved. And the cherry on the top of this visit is the large over sized back massager that seems to go on for a while, but still not long enough. I hope I didn't make any inappropriate noises as the guy was massaging my shoulders, but MAN, i NEEDED that!! If you need a cut, GO HERE!!! The price is good, currently $15.00, although I hear it may be going up to $20.00 which is still a bargain for this full service Man Salon.. Worth the price, worth the wait, man I am HOOKED!!
