Glad I found this place. I had trouble locating a barber/salon/anywhere in the city that could do a decent beard trim. I had walked by this place multiple times and only randomly pulled up their yelp to see what kind of services they performed. I prefer to keep my beard long, but I usually ruin it trying to trim myself and end up shaving it off. No longer necessary! Besides a great trim (bringing me from looking like I just stepped out the woods to a respectable work beard) the guys are funny and are pretty entertaining just hanging out there. On top of that they have very easy online scheduling. I hate calling to schedule an appointment talking to a human when everyone knows robots do it better and save me from speaking to another person. Will definitively go back in a month or so when I'm looking feral again. read more

Revival - Post beard trim - Barbers Near Me - New Orleans, Louisiana

The last guy who did my hair up in Brooklyn NY kind of screwed me up, and I had to grow it out to let a competent barber fix his mistakes. Got my hair cut and styled by Justin Kane February 19, and it was absolutely perfect. Got me right through Mardi Gras and into Corona Gras. Now I'm starting to look a little shaggy, but after 6 weeks I still look better than I did after the Brooklyn cut. Nice job Justin, hoping to see you in May. By the way, order a Tee shirt at revivalgrooming.bigcartel.com and endorse these guys! read more

Revival - Support the guys by advertising to your corona quarantine krewe. - Barbers Near Me - New Orleans, Louisiana

Long story short I found Revival at their old location in the LGD, but they've since moved a couple blocks from me ( huge blessing). The new location is nice and Chris is just a awesome guy. Every time I go in we always have great conversation and he's an extremely gifted barber as well. Not to mention the prices are really reasonable given the quality of services. There's no longer a shortage of barbers in Mid-City thanks to the gentlemen at Revival!! Give them a shot you won't regret it. read more

I always get a great haircut here and there prices are very reasonable. I would go any where else in the city for a haircut.

When it comes to men's style haircuts, Revival Grooming is as good as it gets. I've been getting my hair cut here for about 9 months and I have no regrets. Chris is one of the coolest dudes you'll ever meet and he's a rockstar of his trade. He always checks in with you at the start of your appointment to see what you want done with your hair (even if you're a regular) and then delivers time after time, a super solid cut. I always enjoy my convos with Chris and I appreciate that he doesn't just rush through my haircut. Being a queer woman, I find it incredibly intimidating to find a barber most of the time. Chris, puts me at ease. In fact, anytime I ask a queer friend of mine who cuts their hair, they usually respond that it's Chris over at Revival! If you are searching for a barber and live in NOLA (or even if you're visiting), you've got to check this place out. You won't be sorry! The location is A++++ because it's right next door to Courtyard Brewery and on the same block as French Truck Coffee. It's also a couple blocks away from Bakery Bar. So basically, you can do your own coffee, haircut, booze, dessert crawl if that's your kind of thing and treat-yo-self, because hey, you probably deserve it. read more

Revival - 5/5 stars. Thanks for the solid cut Chris! - Barbers Near Me - New Orleans, Louisiana

I was a little nervous when I saw the Liverpool and United scarves hanging from the wall, but if you can get past those allegiances, you'll find a great experience and conversation. ..Thank you Justin for a great cut! read more

Found Revival from a recommendation on Reddit (r/NewOrleans). Checked them out online and was encouraged that they were taking Covid precautions seriously. Scheduling was easy through Schedulicity, accessed through their Google listing, and it was nice that I didn't have to pay up-front to schedule an appointment. Justin cut my hair and despite being a Manchester United supporter and laughing at me for bringing a picture of David Beckham (justifiably, mind you. I'm kidding here), he did an excellent job - particularly for me being a brand new customer. The atmosphere was chill. Chris, his customer, and Justin were fun to talk with. And, most importantly, they had soccer on a big screen for me to watch. I had a fantastic experience. And I probably got a good haircut too, but, frankly, that's secondary to me. read more

I originally made an appt here after I couldn't get an appt with my usual barber. But one appt was all it took to make me a repeat client. Chris is an easygoing and easy to talk to nice guy. Oh, he's an awesome barber too. He's quick and has an awesome attention to detail while also being wallet friendly. I'm so glad I made an appointment. I've been going to him for over a year now and I always leave feeling like a million bucks. read more

I've been coming here since last year, and they always do a great job. I get my hair cut by Justin, and he has found a style that really works with my head and face shape. Love going in once a month to hear the conversation and catch up and come out looking fresh. Best barbershop I've ever been to. read more

I got a hair cut right before the world shut down to covid-19. They cut hair to last. Its been 3 months and my hair still looks great. Both barbers are unbelievably talented and could not be nicer people. Their prices are also great. I cant wait to go back and see them. read more

Lucky to live just around the corner from this place. Chris is very talented and extremely personable. He doesn't mind spending the extra time with you to get the haircut you want. I ha e never been disappointed with the service I have received here. Highly recommend! read more

I stopped in to see Chris while visiting from out of town. Simply put, awesome barber who gives an awesome haircut. Chris is really confident in his skill and gave me a perfect cut. The shop is really beautiful and clean and features some quality American made clothing. On my five minute walk home I had two guys compliment my haircut. Definitely stop in. read more

Revival - One of my favorite cuts yet. - Barbers Near Me - New Orleans, Louisiana

Chris gave me a great cut. This is a good barbershop in Nola ! No pretentiousness here.

I took my 7 year old son here for his first "real" haircut (not done by me or dad). Justin did an amazing job. He asked all the right questions, didn't rush through it, made sure my son was comfortable through out, and gave him a beautiful haircut. Besides that, the guys were friendly and chill - a really great barbershop environment. My son was happy, I'm happy; we will be back. read more

I went because of the rave reviews. I wanted a pretty simple haircut and shave. I booked Justin because he was available and the reviews were spectacular. I'll start with the end: I was in the chair for 2.5 hours and left with blood on my face. Justin gave me a bowl cut rather than taper the back. There was no fixing it. He couldn't figure out how to do a shave. He kept scraping and scraping and scraping. I left with cuts all over and a bleeding face. This barber shop is bare bones. They use Nivea from Walgreens to shave and don't exactly know what they're doing. Everything is generic and not supplied from a beauty supply warehouse. I have super thick hair that's easy to cut, and this is one of the only three bad haircuts I've ever had. read more

Went for a cut and a beard trim. Chris did a great job. Listened to my instructions/thoughts on what I wanted and interpreted them really well. He then confirmed with me along the way and made adjustments. I'm very happy with my cut. Chris is an interesting guy to talk to as well. Very good value for money. After, you should get coffee at French Press, which is nearby :). read more

Revival - Haircut and beard trim! Very happy with it. - Barbers Near Me - New Orleans, Louisiana

Quality haircut at a great price point! Love the atmosphere. Chris is a great guy. Would highly recommend. Love the uptown location and I understand will be moving to mid city. Look forward to getting my haircut there! read more

As a college student new to the area, I thought I would visit Revival just one time to get a really nice haircut for a job interview, and then find some cheap place after that. Chris went out of his way to meet me early at 6:00 AM just to be able to fit me in his schedule, gave me the smoothest and most enjoyable haircut of my life, had a great conversation with me, and even gave me a little discount for being a student (shh! not advertised on website). I was amazed, and have never been to another barber since. Thank you Revival Grooming Co! read more

Chris is a down-to-earth guy and great barber. This is a 1-2 barber chair type of place so you get more tlc than you normally would from a larger shop. I'll definitely be going back to Chris for my cuts. Tip: Chris takes walk-ins, but calling/texting for an appointment seems to be the best way. Nearby: In the same building lot, they have a boutique men's store, a brewery, and rotating food trucks. Nearby is also French Truck Coffee shop too. read more

Recently moved back to the city, and was in desperate need for a haircut. As I'm very particular about who cuts my hair I did a lot of research on the best barbershops, and lo and behold my research landed me at Revival. I made an appointment with Chris, and needless to say I've been back for all of my haircuts from that point on. He did an amazing job, and Chris and Justin provided awesome conversation that is so lacking at many contemporary barbershops. Great price too. Will definitely be back as long as I'm living in New Orleans. read more

This place is the s**t! No seriously, Chris is awesome and I'm so glad that I decided to come here. He is super accommodating and conversation was great. Most importantly, he gave me the exact haircut that I wanted! I've been waiting for this cut and I'm so happy with it. I live 4 hours away and I'll definitely be back. I brought my groomsmen to Chris at Revival on my wedding day to get cleaned up. He did a great job with a hot shave and too. The service was great, and hanging out with Chris was really fun too! It was a really relaxing way to start one of the most nervous days of my life. He also have a boutique connected to the shop for some threads and cool accessories. His neighbor is a brewery, so that helps too. read more

I found this place because of Yelp reviews and could not have been more pleased. Chris may not be the best barber in NOLA, but he is close! However, his barbering skills are only exceeded by a wonderful personality and an interest in knowing each customer, personally. If that isn't enough, his price for a haircut is the lowest I have seen in the area. Do yourself a favor and visit him -- you won't be disappointed. read more

Great haircut with Justin! Friendly service and an affordable haircut. It's great to have a new barber shop in Mid-City. Revival is a fun place to hangout while waiting and when in the chair. Good conversations with the owners and the regulars. read more

I've been going to Revival to get my haircut for around 3 years and I've never had a bad haircut. Chris is a Master at cutting hair and he has the best disposition of any barber that I know. I've personally seen him cut all types of hair and everyone leaves happy and satisfied. The shop is centrally located in Mid City which is very convenient for anyone that lives in New Orleans, Kenner or Metairie. Chris and Justin are the two barbers there and they always make you feel at home. Chris never forgets anything you tell him, he has like a eidetic memory so I guess I would describe him as kind of a barber/therapist all in one. Great haircut, great location, professional, but laid back environment. Two thumbs up. read more

Justin and his business partner are awesome. They are fun to talk to, give a great haircut, and (added bonus) will give you free whiskey while you are there. What more can you ask for from a barber. read more

A little background: I am currently going to Loyola University, and I had moved from Houston-Metro area back in Texas. So after being relocated trying to find a good place to get a cut at a reasonable price, especially near the university in uptown is extremely difficult. But then I came on here and searched and found Revival, the had fantastic reviews from regulars and people visiting the area and had great prices for a cut. So on I went, on September 3rd to get my haircut and the place was amazing!! Justin gave me an amazing cut and was a great conversationalist, when talking to him it seemed like I knew him forever even though I just met him. It was a very warm and welcoming atmosphere to be in. If anyone is looking for a good barber here in NOLA, Justin and Chris are your guys!! Justin would also check in throughout the cut to make sure the cut was how I wanted it. They are wonderful down to earth people with great senses of humor, and will make you feel at home while getting your cut! Definitely would recommend to friends in the area, these guys are the real deal!! Amazing barbers and at reasonable prices, can't beat. Definitely coming back again. read more

Great spot for a men's haircut. I go all scissor cut and Chris executed to perfection.

One of my favorite things to do on vacation or a work trip is get a good haircut. I have a place in every city and this is the best haircut hands down no question about it. I've been twice now and Chris is a master. Every trip to New Orleans will include Revival. read more

Brilliant. Best place. The space is like a weird minimalist art installation, and the owner is an affable raconteur.

Revival Grooming is hands down the best place to get a haircut in New Orleans. The owner, Chris, moved from LA to NOLA and brings a sense of style that can't be found at other shops around the city. The price for a haircut is $25, which includes a hot neck shave and massage. There are places in NOLA that charge double this amount for a haircut that isn't even close to the quality you'll get here. Give Revival a try and you won't go anywhere else! read more

I am originally from the west coast and had been missing a great barber ever since moving to New Orleans. I tried for years to find a person that could really cut men's hair. I am also very critical and picky due to the long stretch in the military. Fortunately I was able to meet Chris. His skills are amazing with a clipper. I would never go to another barber in NOLA. read more

This is the barber shop and barber I've been waiting for in New Orleans. My former barber, Jordan from Proper in Denver, CO, who was the previous best I've ever had, told me about Chris Hobbs, the proprietor of Driigh Revival / Revival Grooming, saying Chris was one of the best barber he knows. That was good enough for me. Chris is as good as advertised; he's a master of the clipper and gave me the tightest cut I've had in New Orleans. I couldn't be happier with my cut. On top of his skills, Chris is a super great guy, interesting and easy to talk to and really takes his time with the cut. I felt at home right away. The cuts are very reasonably priced. The space is great, just two chairs and some good looking locally designed menswear by Chris's partner. I prefer a real mens barber shop to a salon and this place has that vibe without being even one bit pretentious. Driigh Revival was easy to get to and even has it's own parking spaces right in it's own lot. It's right next to Courtyard Brewery, which I intend to check out when I get my next cut. Welcome to NOLA, Chris & Driigh Revival! read more
