YESSSS THEY ARE OPEN FOR BUSINESS!!!! I can not say how much I love Josh at Mr. Chills for hooking me up!!! I JUST LOOOOOVE MY HAIRCUT!! Due to the current Phase 2 reopening mandate, I needed a haircut bad and was afraid that there weren't any barbers taking on new clients let alone women. But, I called Josh on Saturday morning and he had me in and out of the chair before noon on the same day. Mr. Chill's is a "true gentleman's place but lady friendly and there is one chair with Josh at the helm. The vibe is warm and inviting and I had no health concerns since the room/building was up to Phase 1,2,and 3 reopening standards. Plus ladies there is a bathroom that is women friendly that we can actually use, "woo hoo"!!! Josh was very patient with me. Not a diva, but I'm in my 1st stages of going natural with my edges holding at a very fragile state, and Josh worked magic with them. My haircut is flawless and If he's like that with me, I know he slaying it with the fellas!! There are two things that need to be said about Mr. Chills. 1.) Carson gave me the best haircut that I have ever received. Bar none. I never know how to describe the haircut that I want. I just know it when I see it, or hate it when I don't. Carson read my mind and gave me exactly what I was looking for. 2.) Chill and Carson are exceptional in providing incredible customer service. Today was the first time I got my haircut at Mr. Chills and I was talking to Carson and Chill like I knew them for years. This place is amazing!!!!!! I came in with a large afro and left with a taper fade and a new attitude! The name says it all "First Class Cuts." This barbershop isn't like your average barbershop were you get your hair cut in the open. It's a very private and serene environment. As I mentioned I cut off all of my hair and was extremely nervous. These guys made me laugh the ENTIRE time and b4 I knew it I left with a taper fade and a smile. I am now a regular and go once every two weeks. They never let me down. I always leave with a smile and great haircut. These guys cut hair of all textures. I just moved in to New Orleans and as you all know, moving to a new area and not having a lock down barber is a stressful thing. I hate chasing down the right cut because of a barber's inexperience or lack of care. This dude Mr. Chill is a miracle worker with the blade. I showed him a picture of what I wanted, and 40 minutes later it was perfect. The dude puts time and effort into the cut, and nothing feels better than halfway through a cut and you can say to yourself, "I know this is gonna come out right." This barbershop is hands down the best in New Orleans. Carson, Chill, and Courtney are three friendly, professional, skilled gentlemen who make you feel comfortable and at home. I go to them whenever I need a fresh fade (required by Marine Corps regulations) and every time I'm impressed. The straight razor neck shave is the icing on the cake. I sat with Mr. Courtney and have been coming back ever since. The barbers are knowledgable, professional and most importantly great at what they do.
