Bait and Switch Tactics! I usually don't write reviews especially when I haven't been to a place yet, but I called to get an appointment because of their first time client web special which I pasted and copied to this review. Their web special (Cut and pasted from their website): $49.95 for a Single Process Color, Cut, Blowdry and Style (originally $85) Creative Cuts Plus's own description of a single process, (cut & pasted from their website) Single process color is just the application of one color (or toner) to achieve an all-over color. You can still have some contrast depending on the color used or your existing hair color, but there is only one application - hence the term "single process." When I called to set up an appt. I was told that the single process was root touch up only & if I needed all over color I would have to pay an additional $20. I said no thanks and set up an appt. for just a cut, until I went back to the website to read everything again and called the shop to ask more questions. So, Marley, the owner calls me back and explains I just don't understand what single process means & it is only a root touch up. Explaining if it has been a long time since coloring you need to do what is called by them a virgin color at an additional cost of $20 over the advertised special & that I was basically trying pull something by asking for the special as advertised. I suggested they read their own description on their website which states nothing about root only touch up. This is a description from a hair styling website: Single Process means that a new color or toner is applied all over to create a new base color. The hair is lifted and deposited in one easy step. It's the most common out of the two, and it's wonderful for covering grays and adding shininess to dull hair. Plus, it's also great for the home hair colorist. So, Marley, not the greatest customer service & I suggest you get your wording worked out on your website. read more

Many many moons ago, guessing 3 decades, my mother showed me an article in a local news bulletin featuring women in business on Cape Cod. Marly was one of these ladies opening Creative Cuts Plus. Over the years we have enjoyed many services and have recommended the salon to our family and friends who continue to experience the same delight being treated as if each visit was the very first. Kelly doesn't know how to cut or layer curly hair. She bragged about knowing what she was doing while leaving me with a triangle shaped helmet. I came back to have her fix the mullet shape and she barely trimmed it. She insisted how good it looked. I gave up on the shape and stupidly asked her to dye it. She didn't take into consideration how adding a blonde brown on top of a red would look. It came out darker but still the same color. I was angry and upset and i just wanted to get out of that crap salon so i just tipped her and left. I paid almost $100 for my hair, now months later to look exactly the same!!! She's a nice woman with no skill or style. Never going back! read more

I haven't always had the best time at salons. I tell them what I want show them pictures and always seem to Walt out of the salon sad or semi-satisfied. My experience with Michelle was completely the opposite. She was so much fun, she immediately knew what I wanted explained the best way to achieve the results without killing my hair and even though I didn't get the color I wanted on the first try I understand now why it is a process in order not to fry my hair. My hair stared as a red/auburn and I want to go completely blonde. As she began to rinse out my hair I was a bit disappointed but then after she dried it I was thrilled the way she blended the beautiful caramel blonde, the light blonde and my natural red was fabulous. I have an appointment for the 24th for us to lighten it even more and I am so excited. One more thing I must add is that I asked her to cut my hair in a nice way that accentuated my face and she managed to cut my hair the way I have been trying to explain and beg other stylists to do for years. Michelle is amazing at her craft, super friendly, and overall just a great person my experience there was fantastic and I would recommend them to everyone. If I able to edit this I. I just went in for a Brazilian wax so this review isn't based on the stylists. A)the waxer didn't wear gloves or even wash her hands before B)the waxing room wax tiny and gross with no where to even place a handbag or your clothes C)she was double dipping into the wax pot with the same spatula (and who knows how many people it had been used on before) D)she pumped on some lotion on the area afterwards and looked at me like I was supposed to know what to do with it...I was supposed to rub it in myself. Only good part: it was only $45 Btw I get regular Brazilian waxes in another state so I am aware of how things are supposed to be done. read more

Lauren just took care of my awful bottle disaster on top of a bad salon job all at once! I was in need of a hair 911 while I was in town on vacation. I didn't have time to get it fixed before my flight but she welcome me with open arms and took good care of me within the hour! I am SO thankful for her because my hair look amazing and I can now enjoy my vacation with my fiancé! She's also great conversation. Great energy! I don't remember the other woman's name but she was also very inviting and knew what she was doing. I would definitely recommend them. read more

I saw the glowing reviews about the stylists and figured since the poor waxing review was 2 years old that the place may have changed and my eyebrows could be waxed quickly/professionally... ..but I was wrong. Just as with the other waxing review, A. No gloves or handwashing pre-wax B. Gross little room with nowhere for my purse C. Double-dipping But most importantly, my eyebrows were waxed HORRIBLY! Brows will never be completely symmetrical, but one is now clearly smaller/thinner than the other. Even the oblivious men in my life noticed. Luckily I have an eyebrow pencil that can camouflage the difference until my emaciated brow grows back in. Not to mention that I was charged $15 when the website says brows are $12. I'm sure the stylists are great, but I wouldn't go back for a wax if you paid me. read more

Excellent service! I have been going to CCP for my Brazilian waxings for over a year. Marley does a great job and I am happy with the results every single time. I went with a Cape Cod Daily Deal for detox treatment, color, cut and style. I was looking for a change from my very long hair to a shoulder-length style. The stylist, Jessie, could not have been sweeter or more accommodating. The salon isn't fancy, but it has a nice feel with a staff that is friendly and seems happy. I am very pleased with my new style, and I will return to Creative Cuts Plus! read more

I'm really disappointed in my experience here. I asked for half an inch. The stylist cut off 5 inches. It's really uneven and I think I'm going to have to go to another salon now and have them chop off even more of my hair. I was very clear that I only wanted a slight trim and am really upset that the stylist totally disregarded my wishes. Years of growing out my hair all gone because of a scissor crazy stylist. Creative Cuts is not a cheap salon and I expected more from them. I've also gotten highlights done here in the past and there was about half an inch of roots visible. I'm mortified in how my hair looks and will never step foot in this salon again. read more

Don't go...Thought I'd try this place since a groupon was available..Made an apt. for the next day..got there & was told she was double booked...hmm..now I am anxious because I was told they know how to cut long curly hair. I told young lady I DO NOT want length cut, just a trim and layers. Well no layers later and 4" shorter. I cried profusely that night. Had to go to another salon for damage control (she couldn't believe the bad cut). So $$ later, high anxiety later, & btw..no "deep conditioning" on the groupon later, I am trying to save you from a very bad experience. They get one star for cleanliness of the salon.. read more

I went in for a haircut and the hairdresser was very rude and insulting to me about the condition of my hair, and she also was very rough with my hair (holding the blowdryer too close and yanking it, etc), and on top of that, it was 39.95 for just a trim! Also, the receptionist was very rude and unhelpful, i do not recommend this salon. read more
