I was told they needed me today for a $375 study 3 weeks ago and I have called and left messages to at least 4 phone numbers with no response from them. They do a terrible job at marketing research too. I've done things for them fro 20 years and they are all confussed it seems. If you are looking to conduct market or UX research in Houston, look elsewhere. I've been doing UX research for 10 years and I can safely say this is the most amateur facility I have been to, for the following reasons: - Had to ask for updates as to how the recruit was proceeding; never once received a proactive update - Had to proactively send client needs information; they never asked - Had trouble receiving email from CCR; this tells me they are on a SPAM blacklist somewhere for spammy emailing practices - The observation room has wobbly, cheap tables - Observation room is tiny - Barely any power in the observation room for observers' computers - They did not include all the items I requested in the technical setup - No wire pass-through between lab and observation room - They gave me the requested (off brand and non-working) monitor, but not its power cord - Asked for a TV in the observation room with an HDMI cable running into the lab; found it just sitting in the lab with no HDMI cable run - The cart they had the TV on wasn't stable; I almost injured my coworker from a falling TV - Had to spend the first hour sweaty and running around to get everything setup in time; not the way I like to start research days - Internet is extremely slow (and went down once); the IT person's dispassionate response was to put the problem back on us - she said there was no problem with their internet speed (there was, I know slow internet when I see it) - Only have powdered creamer for coffee, no actual cream/milk - Coffee cups are too small for the coffee maker they have: they always fill right to the lip of the cup - They handed my client a participant list which included last names - a clear violation of personal information - Room temperature problems - During a session, the president of the company stood outside the lab and took a call while on speakerphone, distracting the participant; my colleague had to ask her to move - Project manager didn't come and introduce herself; this is a standard practice - Wrote an email to the president of the company, but didn't hear back; she did a quick fly-by on the second day, but didn't knowledge my email or even look me in the eye CCR's saving grace was Gladys, who was taking care of us while we were on-site. She was great; she efficiently & effectively dealt with the crappy hand she was dealt by her coworkers. My coworker summed it up nicely: "Feels like they are one step above a fly-by-night operation." read more

I worked here as a caller. These people treat their workers like crap. Yea, a majority of their workers are irresponsible high schoolers, but that gives them no right to be rude and obtuse. I even heard them act/talk like that with the elderly people who work there. When I was trained, they told us we could read while dialing.. especially since some days, we don't get a single survey completed after calling around 100 numbers. This had been the status quo for 3 or 4 months when all of a sudden it wasn't allowed. So I quit. They tried to cover up the fact that they said we could read. So of course, they dropped my last paycheck to minimum wage as opposed to the commission the workers are expected to work towards. I noticed that they had done that several times before with their statement about their expectation of us. They consistently cover up things they've said in the past thus breaking their agreements. I will say that if you can tolerate their snobbery and patronization, you can make some money while pretty much doing nothing. I would literally rather work at McDonald's. I would have thought Patricia Pratt, the owner and the person who handled my resignation, was above lying, breaking agreements, and treating the people who work for her unfairly. I will say her son, whose on staff there, seems to not take on these qualities. If and when ownership passes to him, things will get better. read more
