I don't work too far away from Virginia Trophy so after a brief conversation with Bruce over the phone I found my way here. That was last year and I returned this past week to place another order for his new team. Virginia Trophy is a quintessential mom and pop shop. The friendliness of the service is something that you don't find many places anymore. Bruce is warm and inviting and most of all patient. I have dealt with other staff members here and they are just as friendly. There is a huge selection of trophies and all at an extremely reasonable price. If you are on a budget Bruce is making sure you get the best bang for your buck without even coming close to your max budget which says a lot about his honesty. The turn around time is great as well. For a small order he can have it done within a week. The trophies we received last year were great quality and the kids and parents loved them. A charming sidewalk chalkboard sign greets you before you even enter the store. The handiwork on the sign is done by a local artist which speaks to the nature of Texture. As you enter the shop, you will find it proudly supports local artists of Coastal Virginia from Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Williamsburg, and more. I'm always impressed by the jewelry, hand designed greeting cards, pottery, and accessories that the owner finds for the store. She or any other "Texurette" will happily tell you about the origins of any item. The ladies who work in the shop (Texurettes, as they are fondly called) are always friendly and helpful if you are looking for something particular. They offer complimentary gift wrapping in adorable gift bags tied with ribbon. Every time I give a gift in a Texture bag the recipients eyes light up! You will find a price range for every wallet.
